SheCodes React is a great course to take if you want to learn even more about coding and make your CV stand out from the crowd! It is certainly not easy, but I guess it's all part of the learning curve. I really enjoyed building yet another weather app and looking forward to starting a career in this field and learning even more! The SheCodes courses have kept my mind occupied during the pandemic and have helped me realise that there are other industries out there you can work in and not be stuck doing a job you don't like. This course has been amazing. As part of a web development team, I have tried to teach myself to code many times and have never proceeded past the basics. I have learnt so much in this course and now feel I can have meaningful conversations with my developers.
I can't believe I have finished already! Learning to code at SheCodes was such an amazing ride. It is kinda crazy to see this creative project be born from all the hard work and time that you put into developing it. The thing that I liked about the React course specifically is that it is constantly challenging you and your knowledge. It can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time. Matt, you have an amazing team João has always been a great source of knowledge and is so patient and kind. Lexi has also been great by responding quickly and checking in to see how things are going. I highly recommend these workshops to everyone. I'm a little sad the learning here has come to an end.

After I had to leave my old team in Manchester, I searched for new inspiration to improve my Web Design skills and work more towards Front End Development. I really like the way the course has been built and how Matt is explaining everything is very engaging (I won't forget anymore to press the button on the coffee machine, ha!). SheCodes is the best! I began as a novice with the intro to coding class and quickly fell in love with coding through Matt's easy-to-follow videos and Joao's helpful support on challenges and homework. After graduating from the intro workshop, I immediately enrolled in SheCodes Plus and then SheCodes React. Improving my coding literacy and building the weather app project from scratch has been such an empowering experience. If the SheCodes team ever offers courses on any other coding languages, I will be first in line to sign up!
SheCodes workshop was highly motivating! Lesson after lesson I was discovering a completely new world and at each step making new questions about functionality. Really enjoyed every step from begginers class to React. This months past so quickly! At the beginning I wasn't sure if this "coding thing 😆" is for me at all but every lesson gave me more confidence and was so easy to follow and nicely explained. After completing the 3 week introductory course with SheCodes, I couldn't wait to carry on coding with SheCodes Plus. Overall such an excellent & well thought out course that is really enjoyable, challenging, and without a doubt extremely rewarding! I have learnt so much in a short amount of time and I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to do the same. In SheCodes plus I began to realise the power of what a few lines of code can really do in JavaScript! It is a jump up from the introductory course for sure, but as always the support is amazing. Slack is used through out the course as a way to ask questions with other students and the SheCodes team. What a fantastic workshop! The introductory course is laid out really well and Matt explains topics very clearly, especially to those with no coding experience. The challenges and homework assignments are fun and creative and help reinforce the skills learned in each lesson. The support team is awesome too; they have been very helpful along the way!! Learning to code with SheCodes was exactly what I was looking for. All material was presented in a clear and organized way. Changing careers could be daunting, but SheCodes has helped me to gain the confidence to switch gears towards tech. I intend to be a Full-Stack UX Designer someday. They made it possible for me to study whilst working full-time. Matt explains the subject well and challenges you to look for the solutions yourself. I am not gonna lie, I was really skeptical with this idea.I started SheCodes workshop with 0(zero) knowledge of coding. I was already preparing to quit and not even started yet. I thought that coding is really hard and I will not be able to learn this, but actually, I am glad to inform you, it is NOT true. SheCodes team and instructor Matt are awesome and sooo helpful. I loved the SheCodes Workshop! Coding is something I have wanted to try for a long time, but I have always been put off by the fact that you are always told at school that coding is only for the people who were the very best at maths. However, as this course has taught me, that isn't at all the case! If you put your mind to it, anyone can learn how to code. I fully support any initiatives to encourage girls and women to code, as we are very underrepresented in the tech sector. SheCodes Plus was definitely an intense journey! Even though I struggled sometimes, it was always possible to find help and to deliver what was expected. Matt's videos are extremely enlightening, João is a lifesaver on Slack and the rest of the team is always helpful. And during these 8 weeks it was always possible to learn with the other students, which is amazing! I had a great time, I learned and I can't wait for the challenges ahead!

I've tried to learn coding before with no success as a lot of courses and workshops weren't easy to understand or not for beginners. Eventually I got frustrated and thought this was not for me... until I found out about SheCodes. Matt way of teaching brought back my interest on learning code and he made it look so incredibly easy. I couldn't believe I just completed my SheCodes Plus course! Learning how to build my first weather app was one of my greatest accomplishments during the COVID-19 pandemic and I can say that this is a project that I am proud of. Great course structure. Matt is a balanced instructor, very thorough, but not too much. Each challenge had a solution demonstrated. The slack team was very helpful. You are not only taught to code but how to find the answers to your questions online and there's a slack team to help you with everything. A very recommended course to people that are worried to get stuck! 🏅

My introduction to coding was so smooth thanks to SheCodes. The course is very well organized, the lessons are simple to understand and there is also a great support team. I thought it would be hard for someone without an engineering degree but it's not. I'm glad I decided to learn programming, because it opens the door to more job opportunities.

I've been wanting to get into coding for a very long time but hesitated because it seemed intimidating and too complex. After sitting in on one of Matt's free coding sessions, I was finally convinced to take the beginner workshop! It was SO worth it, I am so happy I took this course, it was easily digestible content, easy to learn, especially for someone like me with minimal coding experience! I was happy to find a platform that encourages anyone can learn coding even with no prior knowledge of what or how coding works. Matt helps break down barriers of the preconceived ideas that coding is difficult and for people with advanced computer skills. Understanding coding is made achievable by Matt breaking down lessons into simple interesting sections, they don't overwhelm you in one go! Learning online with other students in the same boat have been a flexible and reassuring journey as everyone works at a different pace, reaching towards the same goal, João and Lexi have been welcoming and helpful throughout the weeks, thank you SheCodes team it was a great journey.

I am a Designer and a Luxury Marketer and I had always wanted to develop my coding skills to the next level, but I always postponed it because I thought it was very complicated and hard to understand until I got to learn from Matt! I thoroughly enjoyed this course and would recommend it to anyone who's been hesitant to enter the world of coding! Matt and his team have done an outstanding job creating straightforward lessons and fun challenges that allow you to execute what you've learned throughout each session. This course was a bit challenging, but I grew a lot from it! The team at SheCodes are also nice, responsive, and helpful. There's so much to learn and gain from coding so I am happy that I was able to learn and understand the fundamentals. I have much more appreciation for coders and I'm excited to apply my knowledge!
For me, SheCodes was the beginning of something wonderful. I’ve never learned so much new stuff in such a short time, and I also never had so much fun learning how to create, break and fix things. I’m a huge fan of Matt’s casual, creative and cool teaching style. I love that he’s able to break down even the most complex topics. His passion and excitement for coding is highly contagious. In this course, Matt provides the most important knowledge and tricks for getting a website to do what you want it to. Don’t get me wrong: The course was no piece of cake. On the contrary, it was a big challenge, but it also gave me a great feeling of achievement, and I really loved the final project. Now I feel inspired; almost unstoppable. Coding opened up a new hobby, maybe even a new future for me – and I will never forget where it all started. A big “thank you” to Matt and his fantabulous team for all the inspiration, dedication and advice!

I loved SheCodes. Everything is online which gave me enough time for my 40h work schedule and still do the exercises and challenges in the evening. The whole SheCodes Team is very helpful and patiently answered all my weird questions. Will definitely continue and come back to SheCodes.
React language seems to be similar to what we have learned on SheCodes Plus but in fact, there are so much more details we have to get more attentive and since the structure of the language is with separate elements, building the connection among them becomes quite challenging but meanwhile with much fun, if you are being led by a good team, just like SheCodes 🤗 Thanks for all of your assistance and patience (especially João 🙇🏻♀️). Highly recommend and this is a really enjoyable journey to open the door of coding world!
Great platform to begin learning coding, interesting lessons with fun challenges will surely make your coding journey amazing. SheCodes workshop is designed perfectly for absolute beginners like me! Classes are well structured with video tutorials that are easy to follow and homeworks that are pretty interesting to do, and not to forget the amazing support team-Slack that reaches out to remind you they are there to help 24/7. SheCodes is the ultimate best and I highly recommend it.
An absolutely outstanding workshop. In the beginning, I was unsure whether I should do the workshop since I am an absolute beginner. But Matt and his team made the workshop so understandable and interesting so that learning to code was a lot of fun. I especially liked the weekly challenges in which you could see how much progress you were making in the past week. I can highly recommend the workshop. :)
I absolutely loved the SheCodes, It was a great experience, a great teacher and a support team that helped me a lot. The platform, being geared towards women, motivated me even more to take this course.
Definitely recommend! The lessons are explained in an easy and understandable way and every time I needed help a team member replied to me on Slack quickly. A must after the first 3 weeks introduction.
This workshop helped me discover that I have a passion for code! I didn't think that I would learn as much as I did. In 3 weeks, the workshop went from the basics of HTML and CSS, to Javascript. Went right from the Workshop to Plus! The transition was seamless. With no coding background prior to these workshops, I was able to create a weather app from scratch! I couldn't recommend this course enough! Matt was straight to the point and taught us exactly what we needed to know to grasp a basic foundation without taking up weeks of our time. I'm a hands-on fast learner, and other courses out there were a bit on the monotonous end for me. SheCodes, was exactly what I needed to have an edge in the ever changing tech world, plus the response time of the support team is unparalleled. BEST decision of 2020 so far! I always thought coming from history of art and literature, coding would be challenging for me but I absolutely loved these 3 weeks. I loved Matt's approach, he explained everything so so simple and straight forward. The technical support team were one click away every time I had questions. I feel so confident about my growth and potentials in this new path. happy coding! ❤️
In three weeks, I was doing more in coding than my boyfriend, who is halfway through his computer science degree! I only did the three-week course for familiarization with terms so that I can be a better member on my team at work when collaborating with the developers. Still, I honestly enjoyed it so much I'm considering upgrading to one of the longer courses!
