At SheCodes, we expect our students to follow this Code of Conduct as long as they are members of the SheCodes community. This Code of Conduct will be enforced by SheCodes staff, volunteers, and other personnel. Adherence to this code will help create a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all.
SheCodes is dedicated to providing a hospitable, friendly environment that will result in a good experience for all. At SheCodes, we have an expectation of inclusion - all individuals should be treated with respect. Everyone of all races, sexual orientations, genders, gender identities, backgrounds, disabilities, ages, ethnicities, religions, etc. should be accepted by one another. Practice kindness, spread the love, and treat others with consideration.
We expect that our students will behave in a professional, accepting, friendly manner. However, if you face a problem yourself or notice that another student is having a problem, please contact a member of the SheCodes staff. Don't be afraid to share any problems, concerns, or questions. We will take action to solve any problems and address concerns/questions as soon as possible. We also expect that students will treat SheCodes staff with utmost respect and consideration.
Keep in mind that we have a zero harassment policy at SheCodes. We will not tolerate any disrespectful comments or actions that are targeted at other students or staff. This includes but is not limited to comments and actions about gender, age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical appearance, race, religion, etc. SheCodes workshops, classes, and events are open to all people from all backgrounds. We will also not allow disruption of SheCodes activities and events, or harassment of other students or staff.
A student that is asked to cease any behavior that does not adhere to the SheCodes standards must immediately comply. We reserve the right to take action that we see fit if a student engages in any behavior deemed inappropriate by our standards. Depending on the infraction, we may offer a warning first OR we may immediately ban the offender from the SheCodes community. If this is the case, then they will not receive a refund of any kind.
