Before I signed up for an introduction to coding course, I've joined the free class and seeing Matt coding made me want to explore this completely new world to me more. I would highly recommend this course to everyone who would like to try something new, fun, interesting and is looking for a new path in their career. I also appreciate how much we could have learned in just 3 weeks. If you are struggling with your code, you can always ask for help vía Slack. The Support Team is super friendly and helpful! Learning with SheCodes is fun! The videos and challenges are well tailored, perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. I simply loved progressing further in the lessons building towards the final project. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is doing a fantastic job answering any additional questions. It's so nice to move forward with the learning material at the own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It was a real joy to learn about APIs, Netlify, Git and so much more in this course.
This workshop was quite fun! It was so cool to start from an empty canvas and end up with a fully functioning weather app. Seeing it change every week was the best! Eventough the workshop is fully online, the homework deadlines really help you stay on track. And when facing any problem there is lots of fast support from everyone on Slack (and also Dr. Google 😂). Love that Matt walks you logically through each step of the coding fundamentals. It's super beginner-friendly and the challenges that follow each exercise help to put to practice what you learn. The SheCodes team is amazing and very prompt in answering general questions about the workshop as well as troubleshooting when you get stuck (which you inevitably will, but that's all part of the coding process!).
I'm amazed how much I have learned within the past few months. The wonderful team that answers so many questions for me and guides me through codes with an explanation that are so detailed. Definitely the most challenging SheCodes workshop. It helped me to understand how React works, how complex and powerful it is. I think it was a great introduction to React, but there is so much learning and independent practicing to do. Yet another mile stone for me as I complete the SheCodes responsive workshop with shecodes.io. If asked when I started, if I was going to achieve these much just within a couple of weeks, I would have doubted it hands down. But matt brought in the magic wand in his teaching technics and all of a sudden “everything is possible if you put your mind to it. lol” To all the SheCodes team, an ocean full of thanks for making this a reality. One thing I am taking to till the end of this career part that I have chosen is that, learning is constant, and to that, I say, On to the next phase.
I completed SheCodes Basic and decided to take the opportunity to learn more about front-end coding. And I'm so glad that I did!! My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me. An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)
I have no experience in coding. I didn't even know what it was really, until a couple months ago. I was nervous to try, and even more nervous to take a boot camp. I am horrible at school. I am not good at processing information just by listening. SheCodes has been the best thing, and I am so happy I found it. Matt is an excellent teacher! I love the way he talks, and he keeps you interested. He explains things so well. And to top it off, you actually DO the coding after he shows you. I learn best by doing, and this has been the best thing for me. I am just completing the basic course and plan on taking the pro course! I'd been considering making the switch to IT for a while already when I came across SheCodes. SheCodes Plus was a great course to take after SheCodes Basics where I got to use what I had previously learnt and develop a greater understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was challenging at times but the videos and solutions from Matt along with all the support from the rest of the team via Slack meant I was able to complete my weekly homework and for the final project create something better than I could have hoped for.
The SheCodes Team and Matt successfully turned me into a coding enthusiast after many years of hesitation. The course was engaging, fun and educational. I have had so much fun for the past 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics! I can't believe how much I have learned in just 3 weeks. I have been working as an IT Service Desk Analyst for 10 years and I was desperately looking for something better. I have been working closely with our development team for the past 2 years. At first, I was so intimidated sitting in their meetings because I didn't understand a thing and I thought you had to be some kind of genius to do that kind of work. Then slowly I began to understand what they were talking about and became familiar with some of the lingo. I started wondering if I could do it too. I tried two other learning programs online and became frustrated and felt defeated. Then I saw an advertisement on a YouTube video for SheCodes and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After watching the free introductory class I knew this was it for me and it would change my life. I signed up for all of the workshops and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus! The short video lessons are the perfect way for me to learn and I love the challenges, homework, and deadlines! I need structure to keep me on track. It has been a real joy. I have always been anti-technology person but I thought I would like to give coding a chance. It was not easy to find a right course, prices are high and I couldn't really understand what instructors were on about. Then I joined SheCodes webinar and I knew I found the right place. It has not been easy and I had to spend a lot of time on the tasks since I never had anything to do with programming but thanks to a fantastic instructor and supportive team I managed to finish my Basic Project. This was an amazing program, a big step up from the basics. It was the right amount of challenging, but with a great team to assist you every step of the way. The program was very well-structured with always working towards your finished project in some way.
This is my third workshop with SheCodes, and is the most difficult one. I won't lie, it took me way longer to finish than I have planned originally. I love that the team has added an ability to work on the second project (dictionary) which I am planning to use a little later.

Really, really enjoyed SheCodes React, it helped me think outside the box when solving problems and a new insight into a library and how to use it. The dictionary project was definitely my favorite and showed me the variety of things that can be produced with JavaScript. As always the lessons were really well taught and the slack team were there to help whenever I needed it. Thank you!

I was afraid of IT word itself. Getting in to it was almost impossible to me. After seeing YouTube advertisement for a year, I finally decided to join workshop. I started SheCodes to see how it feels like as a complete beginner. I must say it is one of the best decision I have made. The format, platform, bite-sized learning modules, friendly reminders, and the amazing support team, make learning how to code a breeze!! I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!
This has been a wonderful and eye-opening experience. It was a challenging course but we had Matt and the SheCodes team helping all the way, other coders were readily there to answer as many questions as they could. I`m happy I made the decision to continue with SheCodes. Great work done by the team!
SheCodes Plus takes SheCodes Basics to another level. This is an opportunity to really hone your programming skills and build a fully functional weather app with real live data. I have never built an app before and I am so happy that I can now say I have done so. There were some lessons that were super challenging but with the help from the amazing SheCodes tech team I managed to pull through.
When I started 2 weeks ago, I was a novice to coding- I mean a complete beginner, and I will admit did not even think if this was something I was capable of doing. 2 weeks later, I am creating a landing page. This workshop has given me an array of hope that it is doable (with time and effort, of course)! Thank you, Matt, for being an outstanding instructor and the whole SheCodes team. You just removed the giant fear I had to step into the tech industry!
