I was hesitant at first cause coding is more like a man-relating thing and it seemed to be difficult to learn. But SheCodes courses are very easy to understand and practical. Especially I love how Matt approaches and instructs coding languages in less-than-10-minutes videos so that I do not feel bored or tired to give up. Many thanks to Matt and the team.

I personally feel quite strongly that it's important to learn new skills from people who are passionate about them. It is clear that Matt is very passionate about teaching these skills in a clear, uncluttered and approachable manner. Each concept is introduced in a bite size video that is easy to fit into a corner of your day without feeling overwhelmed. I've learned that while there are endless possibilities of things any person can accomplish in theory, the surest way to actually do a thing is to make it easy for yourself. This course has made coding easy and convenient for the beginner. The variety of resources made available through the SheCodes site such as color palettes, cheat sheets and CSS code generators also show the attention to detail put into the process. Then there is the other half of the matter: access to a community of like-minded women ready to help when you get stuck. This eliminates the feeling of isolation despite being 100% online. All in all the whole learning experience feels very thorough and well thought out. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team for all the care you have put into designing the SheCodes journey.
Coding is really fun, it is very satisfying to construct a page and experience how ideas are materialized. The team has been most supportive, questions get answered promptly. Most importantly, the instruction videos are clear and easy to follow and I love that it allowed me to learn according to my pace.

The SheCodes Basics workshop is a fantastic foundational program for those interested in learning how to code, or those like me, who may have previously self-taught. The step by step video teachings are easy to follow and understand, and the challenges, with provided solutions, add an extra step to become more comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The dedicated Slack channel provided support and encouragement from peers, and having my assignments reviewed by a member of the SheCodes team helped me to gain confidence in my coding skills with their feedback and guidance. SheCodes Plus was a bit more challenging than SheCodes basic, but Matt's style of teaching, along with the help available on Slack, and various tips from Matt and team along the way helped me stay focused and motivated to finish the course.

The SheCodes video classes and their other resources are amazing, and the team is extremely helpful. Matt's videos are very easy to follow and I love the fact that they are not scripted so we can learn even more from him as he films himself coding in real-time with all the inherent challenges. Another plus is Matt always shows us the best coding practices, even when he says: "You don't have to do this but I highly recommend (...)" 🙂 So I can't recommend this workshop enough for people who are beginning their coding journey like me. SheCodes workshops guided me into an awesome coding experience without having prior knowledge in web development. I love SheCodes! I love learning all the new aspects of becoming a Software Engineer and I'm hoping I can get a job in the field, once I have completed the courses. Its so easy to learn with Matt's great teaching videos, answering questions I'm thinking of without having to ask! He knows what hes doing! It's so easy to learn and you can do it all in your own time. If you want to learn how to code, this is the way to go. I have looked at so many courses, which I found to be confusing. And although there are some things I get frustrated with when coding, Matt and the team are always there to help.
Having never done anything like this before I was slightly nervous about doing this course. Although I may have found some elements a bit difficult to understand at first and got frustrated several times when I could not get something to work (usually because I missed something simple like a . or a }) I really enjoyed learning this new skill and embraced the challenge. SheCodes Plus workshop deepened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I must admit the Javascript part was quite challenging while learning about APIs, but once you understand it and see how powerful it is, you get excited and want to learn more. Finally finished the last course offered by SheCodes! REACT was a super fun course where I have learned a lot. It had it's tricky moments but I certainly enjoyed every step of it. Alongside the help from Matt, the team, as well as other students, I have managed to learn a lot. I never thought I would be able to develop both an weather app AND a dictionary app. This was a really fun trajectory!

I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. 3 months ago I didn't even know how to write a single line of HTML and now I've created 4 projects with SheCodes! I just turned 42- you are never to old to start something new. Matt and the SheCodes team are absolutely amazing. This is unlike any other bootcamp or workshop you may have tried before. The video's are structured in a way that anyone can learn. The community of teaching assistants Slack and other students are always there to help with any questions. The timing of the workshops can be done around any schedule - work, school kids if you have 15 minutes you have time for SheCodes. This course is very well structured and perfect for women who want to learn coding on the side as the course is fully remote and you can work on it flexibly. The team is incredibly helpful and quick when you get stuck in a task. At some points during the course however, I was struggling to follow the logic of the code structure and to understand the warnings in the console, which was oftentimes frustrating as well as a lot of trial and error. But I guess that is normal in the process of learning to code.
If you love programming and you are confused in this path, SheCodes has provided a clear, clear and attractive path for you. This team goes forward with you step by step in this direction. With regular daily practice and timely submission of homework, I promise you will enjoy your dramatic progress in the first few weeks. I really enjoyed the very sincere cooperation of this team.

I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

This course is a coding advantage. The fact that they teach you a language that many companies are using gives a plus to your learning. Although you must have some prior knowledge, I felt that my knowledge increased a lot and it was not so complicated for me. In addition, the support of the team always helps you get ahead.
This workshop was hands on and I had so much fun learning how to code the final project. It was definitely challenging at times, but Matt and the team were very helpful and quick to answer any questions. I can't wait to begin the next workshop!
Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.
As an absolute beginner, my experience with SheCodes was great. I was afraid I would not be able to do it, that I would find it too hard or get stuck or just bored of it, but it was the opposite. Thanks to a great team that is always ready to support you and Matt's very clear lessons, I managed to get through all classes and challenges and I actually understood how much I like coding. This is of course just the beginning, but I have found something challenging and fun that I really enjoy doing. I suggest to everybody who is interested in coding to give this a try and not be afraid: it is gonna be a rewarding experience.

As someone who has always had an interest in coding and tech but never knew how to get in (and having left school!) I really thought I would never be able to learn a skill such as this. I always thought that programming is something that is very hard to understand, but as soon as I started, I realized that actually, it is very interesting and creative! It was an incredible experience building my own weather app with the SheCodes team. It's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy on the internet. I've taken different courses before, and they ended up with disappointment. By recommendation of my manager, I've found SheCodes. I have learned amazing things, challenged by the weekly assignments and meeting the deadlines, and as a result, I've refreshed my memory on HTML, CSS, and Java. Before taking the workshop, I was able to do many things on my own, but the beauty of SheCodes is Matt explains every single thing with the reason behind them. In the end, you know which method you need to choose and why you are choosing it. I loved SheCodes and would recommend it to anyone. I had fun and enjoyed this workshop very much and I am excited to continue my journey. I had some experience in coding before this workshop so for now it wasn't as hard but now I know that there is so much more to learn and learn. I think SheCodes was very easy to navigate and understand. Also, the visual design is very pleasing. And thanks to the SheCodes team for being very helpful and friendly.
This workshop was a great introduction to help me exploring the coding world. I am thinking of career switching and found out about SheCodes through Instagram. I love that the course is divided into separate parts and the deadlines definitely motivated me to stay on top of it. Matt did a great job explaining the components of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but also giving us a challenge to explore parts of that on our own. The SheCodes team is very responsive and helpful, which is a huge plus.
When I first began the workshop, I wasn't a stranger to coding but even when you are a computer science student and know the basics of coding, there are so much more that you can learn with SheCodes' workshops. Initially, I thought IT technology or programming was far beyond my dream. I badly wanted to learn coding but was not sure where and how to start. When I saw my brother coding, I used to get frustrated thinking that I was so laid back and unknowledgeable in the filed of IT development. But SheCodes helped me to dream again, to be able to say that "I can also do Coding". I love coding. Thank you Matt and the team ❤️.
I was admittedly a bit skeptical at first, but I'm now left pleasantly surprised! Matt's explanations of the basics have filled in the gaps in my prior studies, which I'm really happy about. He seems to know how to go into just the right amount of detail without going overboard. Attention to detail can even be felt in the UI/UX of the SheCodes site itself, which contributes to an effective learning environment. I've worked in other coding communities, but I've not felt as safe, relaxed, comfortable and motivated in learning to code as I do here, particularly thanks to the fact that it's not male dominated. Thanks very much to Matt and the SheCodes team! I'm looking very forward to knocking out the rest of the workshops 💪
Amazing workshop , Enjoyed every minute of it . I started to Learn coding recently , from online courses. Then I came across the SheCodes page, It got my attention :) I'm so happy about my decision . Just finished the first part -Basics- . Can’t wait to move on to the next workshop . I found the lessons so helpful and well-structured. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team ^_^
