This is the third course in my coding journey, which is still full of joy, excitement and passion. Thank you, Matt and SheCodes team a lot. I am ready to conquer the last course - SheCodes React!!!
Having come across SheCodes through a platform I belong to on facebook (Portfolio 9 Community), I got so interested because I love to task my creativity in diverse areas of specialization. I cannot thank God enough for connecting me to SheCodes. All through the learning process, I was amazed at the simplicity of coding and with the help of the team members in putting me through when I get stuck, I must commend you all. I was really scared of learning how to code but Matt and the SheCodes team did such a great job at explaining concepts in a clear and comprehensive way. In less than a month I was able to create my own website! It feels amazing!
I'm so glad I took SheCodes Basics. It's a one-stop course to mastering the foundations of html, CSS and JavaScript. Before this course, I was looking to develop new hard skills for my career. I signed up for this course on a whim, never having had ANY prior experience nor exposure to coding. I truly had no idea what to expect. So I told myself "let me just try this and see where it goes". And it was one of the best decisions I've made for my self-development! Matt is an excellent teacher, and he balances just the right amount of teaching & challenging you to find your own answers. At times, I got very frustrated with learning Javascript in particular (it honestly looked like gibberish at first), but like learning any new language, it comes more naturally with time and repetition. This course was very empowering, and has opened up a whole new world for me. I had so much fun! I highly recommend to any women looking to develop new skills for their current career, or women even considering a career change. I also highly recommend if you're a creative person that enjoys problem solving. Thank you, Matt and SheCodes team!

When I decided to transition into tech, I had no idea where to even begin. I didn't know how vast the field was. Im thankful for Matt and his team for creating this workshop. Very easy and fun to interact with, especially for those who didn't have any development experience (like myself). This workshop definitely gives you an idea of what to expect, the very basics of front/back end development. I love the message behind the workshop! This was a fun journey, even though I had to stop a couple of times. However, the explanation was so great, that once I picked up where I left off, it was like I never stopped. The knowledge was wired into my brain!! Thank you guys again, this was really fun! For all those who are hesitant, this is the sign for you to sign up! You wont regret it !!!

The workshop was great. I had a small amount of coding knowledge going into it, but definitely learned way more than I knew and have better clarity on what to focus on next! The videos had plenty of tips and tricks to help guide you along the way, and if I got stuck, a team member or fellow student was quick to answer and take a look at my code for where I was making a mistake! I was very appreciative of this feature as many websites do not have this! Overall, I would recommend! I now look at webpages in a completely new light!

Thank you for building up the confidence to create my own ideas Matt & SheCodes team! I used to feel helpless that I had so many ideas of things to build, problems to solve, without the ability to do anything about it. Just a few short weeks ago, the thought of having to code an entire webpage seemed incredibly daunting. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, I see now that it is completely possible! This course was perfect that even a mom with a newborn could handle and an incredible introduction to JavaScript and API that I genuinely enjoyed! I'm currently on maternity leave and wanted to do something for myself during my time away from work while my son napped during the day. This course opened my eyes to the world of coding. As a Product Manager, I cannot recommend more than for all PMs to take SheCodes to better understand what our engineers do on a day-to-day basis for better collaboration and product development. Learning React was a journey, not always easy but very satisfying once things started working. I loved my journey with SheCodes, now that I completed all the workshops I can say with certainty that it is a wonderful bootscamp for anyone who might be a little scared and see code as daunting. SheCodes Basics has been such an enjoyable experience. I started with very little knowledge of coding and learned so much along the way. Matt is an excellent instructor and his team are readily available should you have any questions. I can't remember a uni assignment I enjoyed as much as our final project. If you're on the fence, just do it!
SheCodes Plus was really challenging workshop. There were days when I got really frustrated with coding, but as Matt always says you've got to take some time off and try later😤I am really happy to have started this coding journey with SheCodes team. This is ideal for anybody who is working full time and is happy to dedicate their evenings to this. The first week is the most intense if you have never done this before but then it gets easier. It's a great taster and I'm looking forward to starting the advanced course. I would recommend being strict with your timings so you don't feel overwhelmed but you can always extend the deadline if life really does get in the way. The fast response from the team on Slack and the ability to search other queries to help solve your code is so helpful. Highly recommend this course.
I learned so much and I'm really proud of the results of this program. I had to take a break to start over because life got in the way and I was falling behind - but the SheCodes team was so great and let me take my time. I came back able to offer my full attention and it was better than ever!
Coding would be advantageous for the HR. 😀 I am HR professional and I did it 😀 wow... If you are working as an HR in the tech domain, then having the basic abilities of how coding works makes sense. So that the selection of candidates can be optimised based on an understanding of how the candidate can benefit the organisation. This will largely reduce the time for the hiring managers at the second and later part of the process. Having HR analytics abilities is a must nowadays. If you are a technical recruiter working for a SaaS company, you can vet candidates with more insightful questions while screening them. I had such a wonderful time developing these skills and I'm super excited for the future! I am delighted to have finished SheCodes Basic Course where I've gained the required set of skills in #HTML, #CSS, and #JavaScript. I have really enjoyed learning the basics of coding throughout this excellent opportunity. Thanks to Matthieu Delac and the SheCodes team!

I truly loved this workshop! I started this workshop because I've always been curious about coding and wanted to learn something new. After completing the 3 week intro workshop I can honestly say I was genuinely impressed. The lessons were clear and easy to understand. The challenge assignments and homework were carefully crafted to optimize learning and foster critical thinking skills. Additionally, help was constantly available via the Slack platform and the SheCodes team responded to questions quickly. This course does take time to complete, but it is entirely possible to complete it with a full time work load (for reference I am a full time grad student and work part-time). I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop and continue to learn with SheCodes!

This course is really eye-opening. The approach is step by step, in an easy to follow up way. This is the first time I can create a web page, using HTML/CSS/Javascript - such tools that used to be weird for me. Thank you Mat and the team so much.
When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!
I found this course packed with information and I loved the style of Matt's explanations. With a full-time job, it wasn't always easy to find the time and that's why I was also thankful for the possibility of postponing deadlines. I am finishing this course with so much joy, seeing my own progress in coding and I am motivated for the next adventure learning React in the next course. SheCodes has been one of the best things I started in years. The video's are amazing, the community is great and it's a very easy and good start te learn how to code. and don't forget: it's so much fun! I think Matt and his team has found a great way of making coding fun and I celebrate the fact that they target women. And they do it realy well, with Cat's coding, lots of emoji's and even jokes. I highly recomend SheCodes to learn how to code, to get a new skill and to have fun!
I honestly never thought that understanding and writing code was meant for me, and I always dismissed it as something too difficult to manage. Until SheCodes, that is.The workshop has given me a brand new understading of coding and has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me! This was so much fun to learn! I looked forward to coming home from work every day and taking on another challenge and then ultimately building my very first app! Matt's teaching style is great and easy to understand and it is nice to be able to have videos and sources to refer back to. The team is also wonderful, with quick and helpful responses. There were times I definitely challenged, but I am so proud of what I have already accomplished and am excited to continue forward in my journey to become a software developer!

This was incredibly challenging. I really enjoyed learning more about JavaScript and API integration as well as learning how to properly work with Git and Github. Matt is a great teacher and I appreciate that there is a team that's willing to help you when you need assistance with your code. This is a great resource for those who are beginners but want to go more in-depth with their coding skills.
I'm incredibly proud of how much I learned and improved my coding in the past 8 weeks. This workshop was really fun but also quite tough, with many hours spent trying to figure out why my functions are not working.
