The Basics Workshop did an excellent job of making it very easy to learn and practice what was learned real time, to set the student on the path of basic web development. I have already been able to easily build upon what I learned to make the page appear and function differently according to my liking with simple google searches on JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I highly recommend this course to any one who has even the slightest interest in learning to code, and to those that fear they cannot learn. Thank you Matt and SheCodes Team!

I found the workshop fun and engaging. It has allowed me to get a better understanding of the terminology, concepts and tools used within my current position as a product owner and working alongside tech teams. The bit-sized lessons were easy to understand and pick up. I also liked that there were small challenges which we had to build upon existing knowledge from the lessons and learn new things via learning by doing.

SheCodes Plus was really fun even through all the pains of having to delete my code cause it kept breaking and having to pick the color,themes,functions that should be on the app. In my opinion Matt is really a great teacher. It is truly amazing the amount of progress it si possible to do when you have a good teacher like Matt who is precise and meticulous and is able to demystify code so well. I was surprised at how much fun I had during this workshop! Matt gives great and clear explanations and the team is very present when you have a question. I even registerd for the next level! I really recommand this workshop if you want to have a taste of what coding may look like!
SheCodes made what seemed to be so complex to me, quite the opposite thanks to Matts amazing detailed videos, and a great team from slack that helped with any questions throughout the course. The videos clearly demonstrated all the elements that go into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and even paced students to figure out some details on their own. This course is very motivating and I can't wait to learn more!

This is now my third course through SheCodes that I have finished. I have absolutely fallen in love with coding! Thank you so much to Matt and the whole SheCodes team! The videos, explanations and challenges are all great. With every lesson, I feel as though I am getting a bit more competent and figuring out more of my own bugs. Even though some parts are challenging, someone from the team is always ready to help on Slack. I cannot even believe I built my own website! When I asked what is coding, everyone said that it is a difficult profession that requires knowledge of mathematics. I have always stayed away from this profession because I am not good with mathematics. One day, when I saw the SheCodes advertisements on YouTube, I looked and started to wonder if I could learn it myself. And after 1 week of research, I saw that the best is SheCodes. Since a started the first course with SheCodes, I knew it would become a passion and addiction for me. That's crazy how i can't spend a day without thinking about coding, how to fix bugs. I registered for the SheCodes Basics workshop just to get an understanding of front-end development. The course was super interesting! The way it's being taught throughout 3 weeks makes it very easy to keep up even if you have a full time job. The fact that for each section there are videos not only to teach you but also to show what the challenge is and to give a thorough explanation of the solution is extremely helpful! SheCodes Basics was the perfect entry-level coding course for me! I admit I started the course with doubt - "Will I be able to follow? Will this be easy enough for me - a complete beginner?" But after the first few lessons, I fell in love with coding, how creative it is and now I can say that I truly enjoy doing it. The course is well structured - I enjoyed 'challenges' after lessons (helps to cement the new knowledge) and the fact that after each 'challenge' we had an explanation video on how Matt would have completed it. Matt Delac is a great instructor - he gives clear instructions and a lot of tips on how to become a better coder throughout the course. The SheCodes team is very helpful and I enjoyed the SheCodes Slack community.
Never have I ever sit down for 3 hours straight just to study or learn something. Well I guess now I know what I really love to do. Matt Delac is so good at explaining everything. He teach us one by one, and he even show the solution after we submit our homework. Such a great guy with a great team. When I'm stuck and need help, the team they help us straight away. Past eight weeks in React Workshop have been my last with SheCodes, but not least. It was not easy sometimes, but once you get a grip on it, the whole new world will suddenly open. The lessons are well structured. As always, the whole team is here to help. It is definitely a great addition to the Basic, Plus and Responsive and I am proud to showcase my project in the future.
As a person who got Maths Phobia and almost zero knowledge of science subjects, I never thought that I could code. Thank you Matt for making coding super understandable and the kind help from SheCodes Team, I acquired some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript:) The challenges after every lesson are very useful. It keeps the students on track and allows us to revise them immediately. I have lots of fun with coding and could never imagine that I am hooked after two weeks! Not sure how far I would go with this new hobby but will take the rest of the workshops for sure!

It was quite a journey for me from the beginning until React. I can see that there's still a long way to go on this path which I'd like to keep going and try my best. I honestly cannot believe how much time passes when you are having fun! I enjoyed every lesson/challenge and I made use of other materials provided. Sometimes, i get stuck on challenges but it only allowed me to learn more. Also the team on Slack are super helpful. Looking forward to more projects to come as I intend to become a full stack developer.

After finishing SheCodes Basic in December, I really enjoyed diving into an app environment and making it work. Because Basic was very easy for me, I underestimated the intensity of this course, but the team is super helpful and patient with every question you might have. I learnt a lot about JavaScript and although I normally work with Python, it was great to learn more JS. Before SheCodes I really struggled in connecting the dots in terms of front-end, back-end and full-stack but after every lecture you get this "aha moment". Even though I'm more a back-end person, it was super helpful for me build a first app from scratch. I'm looking forward to the next courses. ☀️🥰🌻
Seeing my progress over the past few months has been so rewarding. This course really taught me about making a multiple page website that looks good on a laptop, tablet, and phone! Along with learning more about bootstrap. Matt and the team here are very helpful whenever you encounter any roadblocks. I have enjoyed my journey so far! I have always wanted to learn to code; at least basics. Before applying to SheCodes, I have tried couple other platforms but I used to get boring and gave up right after the first lesson.I was thinking that I will never be able to learn it. I never would have thought I'd learn so much in such a small space of time! The projects are really fun and interesting, and key processes are repeated, so you find yourself becoming familiar with writing React code and debugging quickly. I'll really miss this journey! Thank you SheCodes team! :)
React is not an easy technology and in the beggining I was having a hard time getting used to it, but when you get the hang of it, it's great! I did this course while working and still didn't feel very tired because the way it is structured allows you to go at your own pace but to still have clear objectives. For people who want to learn how to code and have no experience, this is a great place to learn. Matt and the team are great, always ready to help.
I didn't have a concrete reason to start learning code, but when I saw the Instagram ad for the free seminar I was intrigued and had to try it out. Turns out - I love coding! The SheCodes team have put together a very well organized course in introductory coding that is easy to follow and has a great outcome. Highly recommend SheCodes Basics, it requires some time management if you're working too, but it is totally manageable, so take the risk, you definitely won't regret it.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

As an absolute coding beginner, and someone who normally gravitates towards live-taught courses, I was very impressed with how easy it was to follow along with the video lessons. I only had a couple of questions throughout the workshop, and I was able to find the answers on the very active Slack threads, where the support team are very responsive. Looking forward to the next workshop.

Matt is an engaging instructor, and the lessons are easy to understand and put into practice while remaining on track. There's a number of coding tools for self-service. The customer success team and teaching assistants provide support and encouragement when needed. There's also a global community of students available to help. If you're slightly curious about coding, I highly recommend it!

SheCodes basic is a great way to learn what coding is. Some tasks almost drove me crazy, but Matt's repetition that coding is fun kept me going.
