I am a social worker for disabled people. I am following this course to expand my knowledge and let's see what it will bring me in the future. What I really like about the SheCodes course is how the program is designed. It are short videos where you learn new skills and afterward, there is a challenge which are really doable and if you have any questions you can ask the team or other students and you will have a really quick and helpfull respond.

About a month ago, a friend of mine mentioned how she was going to start a course in coding, created especially for women. I have to admit, at first I only checked the SheCodes website out of curiosity, but after the free coding class I was hooked! I had to try it! And let me tell you, I am so glad I did! Lately I have been trying to get myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible and this is the first time ever that I purchase and finish a course, completely unrelated to the field that I have studied in. After just having finished my final project, I feel over the moon, proud of myself and I look forward to continuing my coding studies in the nearest future. I have always wanted to move my career from retail/hospitality to coding as this is something I am passionate about. I had a very crude understanding of coding but nothing that could produce a product. Through this course I have gathered skills to create something I really like, that I could use to start learning more with an end goal of getting a job in development. The team and other students are lovely and helpful. This is a great introduction into coding.
I'm blown away that I've made it this far! I've gone from my only real computer and tech experience being typing quickly to now being able to code. Very fun and well-structured course! Coding has become my obsession lately and during this workshop, I have enjoyed so much creating my portfolio and bringing to life a responsive website, making it SEO friendly and also learning more about Bootstrap. I also feel like I finally know what I'm doing while using HTML and CSS. I've learned a lot and improved my skills so I can be more confident, Thanks to the SheCodes team. I started learning coding with SheCodes 6 months ago. I submit my final project today, and the journey has been life changing. 6 months ago, I had zero idea how to write an h1 but today, I submit a fully functional dictionary app I coded from scratch. I know I am going to miss Matt's guiding and instructional voice in my headphones. A giant thank you to the entire SheCodes team. Till we meet again!
This workshop has been eye-opening. I hope to continue and see the opportunities that begin coming my way when I've completed them all. Matt and the SheCodes team were extremely helpful throughout the course. I found this to be much easier than my MBA classes.
SheCodes has been great for getting a taster of HTLM, CSS and JavaScript to see if I liked it. I liked that I could do it at my own pace and that there were challenges after each lesson which helped me to practice. I'd recommend the short course to anyone who's not sure what to expect or whether you'll like it as you learn enough to give you a taster and see if it's something you'd like to pursue further as you'll need to invest quite a bit of time and effort and money if you like what you see and consider it as a carrier change. This React workshop gained me so much knowledge that I thought wouldn't be possible. This is my third course with SheCodes. I am so happy to be part of the students who benefited a lot from the program.Matt is a wonderful instructor. The team of instructors are speedy at answering any questions and resolving any issues that you may run into also! I had a lot of fun building my final Dictionary project.

What a journey! That wasn't easy but that was always fun. The format is perfect: videos are short, every step is cut down easy-to-digest new information & regular interaction with the group & teachers (Slack/homework) really helps with accountability & progress. Coding is somewhat addictive and I already can't wait for the next workshop. Thank you Matt & team.
While I am excited and thankful for the final weather app project, I believe that the Week 04 and 05 modules should be retooled. There is much to learn about JavaScript and it feels as though those two weeks in particular for Plus are too dense and could easily be broken into two sections each. If SheCodes could also experiment with how they display lessons, this would be beneficial for those that learn in different ways. Showing VSCode constantly while building the code but not showing how facets like different JavaScript rules or CSS declarations flow into each other became confusing in some instances. There was also a discrepancy in recording volume between the weeks and even modules within each week so sometimes it was difficult to hear Matt's instructions. The Team that works on Slack to answer questions and give guidance continue to be informative and empathetic, to which I am grateful. A cool piece to build, the overall presentation and class flows could use some updating.

SheCodes has completely changed my previous perception about coding. The workshop is structured in a way that is approachable and easy for students to understand the fundamentals about coding with good exercises to practise what you learn. There is also a great community out there where the SheCodes' team is quite responsive to your questions and you can also interact with other students and help out each other. I found myself spending more time in practising what I've learnt and I am eager to learn more. And most importantly, I have a lot of fun throughout the process!

I can't tell you how awesome SheCodes is, You should enroll workshops then you'll know what am I talking about. if you wanna start front-end development you've found the right place. I can't believe it! One more step completed! I'm proud of myself for having been able to build a weather app in the space of a month. This introductory course was well structured and easy-to-follow. One of the unique features of the course was teaching thought process rather than simply the syntax. What a great course! I learned so much information throughout these videos. I am new to coding and I feel as if Matt was very explicit on what needed to be done and WHY it works/why you do it a specific way. The team on slack also needs a shoutout because if you're stuck or have a question, they respond and help you in a timely manner.

I have been really pleased with my SheCodes journey so far. After completing SheCodes basic I knew I wanted to progress and learn more about coding and work towards a career change. I came across SheCodes one night just before bed as I searched for coding classes while laying in bed and got myself enrolled for the free coding class. After attending the free class, I enquired about the prices and was rather skeptical. I had so many questions racing through my head on whether I should commit myself to do this?, if it was gonna be worth it?, will I stay motivated to complete the package?(p.s. I was interested on the Pro package), why is it expensive do they do student prices?, despite all that I got in touch with the customer success officer and registered myself for the Pro package. The team is simply awesome. I wanted a class that is flexible, interactive, challenging and rewarding. Hands down, SheCodes is one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made for myself. I am wanting for more and more lessons every single day, It's just so interesting that I don't want to put it away!
