In a stressful and now and then challenging everyday life, I'm glad to have found Matt & thus SheCodes & his team - or rather the advertising has found me through the algorhythm on Instagram ;) - so this suggests that my interests match. The course is wonderfully designed - and although I've had touch points with the basics before, I'm very happy with the " bite-sized" lessons and follow-up mini-exercises and weekly tasks. I love the course. I found the lesson with Matt particularly good as he isn't following a strict script. If he makes a mistake or something doesn't he shows how he would really handle it. It shows us the reality of coding. I am also very impressed with the whole company, the team and the work they put into the courses, the challenge and all the extra like the sheCodes upload, the colour and gradients, the challenges every few weeks,... it really shows their passions.😉

I really enjoyed the developer program. I felt like I was learning from professional developers, and I was able to make real progress in my skills. I now feel confident that I can contribute to professional projects with engineers and creative teams. I especially appreciated the hands-on projects. These gave me the opportunity to apply what I was learning and to see how it all worked together. I also found the mentor program to be very helpful. My mentor was always available to answer my questions and to provide guidance. Overall, I had a great experience with the developer program. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about software development. The skills I learned were HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. One of the challenges I faced was understanding the syntax and vocabulary. This was a new language for me, and it took some time to get used to it. SheCodes is the best, I am really proud of how much I learnt from Matt's classes. The course is Challenging, very well paced for beginners. I was anxious at first however, with time I enjoyed it. The team's support is out of this world.
It was immensely hard to make myself go against the flow and finally try doing what I actually secretly always aspired to try my hand at: coding. And I'm thankful that at that moment of decisiveness it was SheCodes I found. Firstly, I understood that what kept me back the most was sheer fear of the amount of basic understanding of how the industry actually works. Navigating through it itself is quite an ordeal if you ask me, as there are so many fields and specialities and pipelines and skills required depending on the former mentioned and later omitted etc. But during a free introduction class which I was kind of sceptical to take at the beginning, Matt managed to keep it short, specific and really easy to wrap your head around. Yes, this was just a tip of the iceberg, but now that it has been reached, I felt like I could somehow see myself a person who goes on this adventure. The feeling was refreshing and, surprisingly, it never faded during the whole Basics Workshop. Here comes the "secondly". I was so happy to observe and experience how SheCodes works as a platform. Starting with design and going all the way to how neatly and user-friendly both the classes and the support are organised. The whole learning process just feels so natural and chill, the possibility to ask for an extension along with short and easy-to-understand lessons made this workshop somehow fit me like a glow. Last but not least, the content of the lessons is remarkable by itself. True, you will only hone some very basic skills, but if you want to continue learning these same skills would work as a pretty solid fundament for your future achievements. Still, if you want to join the workshop just for fun or for challenging your brain, you will complete it with a very real and very your own landing page to boast about (or to even use, why not) anyway. A win-win situation, if you ask me. To wrap it up, I want to thank Matt and SheCodes team for making entering the industry easily instead of gatekeeping it from beginners. Also, I'm endlessly grateful for the chance to study for free at these dire times! SheCodes must be known by everyone just for its Foundation program alone. And to all these still wondering whether to try it out or not: do not hesitate, you won't regret it.

However, I best channeled that energy by pushing myself to learn more and do more, and soon enough, the fear and frustration, added to the excitement - it motivated me to keep going. This has been a life-changing experience. I never thought I would embark on a journey to learn how to code because, in reality, opportunities like these are far too few for Black women, where I'm from (earth) and I am truly grateful for the opportunity and the doors that this course will open. I am sad this chapter is finished but extremely excited for what's yet to come!! This has been the most engaging online course I've ever enrolled in. I cannot thank Matt and the SheCodes team enough!
I decided to continue my SheCodes journey and work towards my Front-end Developer certification. It is exciting to learn more about coding and creating web pages. I never thought I would like coding, but now I absolutely love it. Thank you to Matt Delac and the SheCodes team for the inspiration to become a Front-end Developer.

Learning React has been a genuinely enjoyable experience for me. It has made my code cleaner and easier to follow, which is fantastic. However, I won't sugarcoat it—there were definitely some challenges along the way that made me scratch my head. But hey, that's how we grow and learn, right? Another excellent workshop delivered by Matt Delac. His teaching style and enthusiasm have made the learning process even more enjoyable. A big think you to all SheCodes team, you all awesome. 🙂 In conclusion, I'm so proud of the progress I've made in learning React, and I'm excited to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.
