I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!
I am a science teacher in my 30s. Since I was young watching my dad work I always had some fascination with coding but really had no idea how it worked. For a short 3 week course, it was an excellent introduction into coding. I am so proud of what I accomplished in a short time!

Prior to becoming a 7th-grade math teacher, I had a split second dream of working for Pixar. I had the math, all that I needed was the coding. I tried to learn on my own, but finding solutions to problems along the way itself was an obstacle. Several years have passed and I still had an interest in coding - that's when SheCodes came along. Excellent course for busy people. Matt is a natural and engaging teacher - he keeps the lessons challenging, but doesn't overwhelm with too much information in one go. New information and skills are built up gradually and logically - he really puts himself in the shoes of a beginner, but more importantly, treats you like a *capable* beginner. I've definitely caught the coding bug (so to speak!) and will be continuing for another few months of lessons.

When I took my multimedia master's degree I chose to take classes of "coding" HTML, CSS and PHP with SQL. The teacher was good but the truth is that I was very worried about getting the master's degree and I just memorized things. This course definitely exceeded my expectations! I didn't have any coding background and by the end of the first day I was able to understand basic html and CSS, and at the end of the course I was feeling like a real geek :)! I have participated in the SheCodes Workshop and I've really enjoyed the experience. As someone who never coded before, it was an intense weekend and I was uncertain of the results I would get from SheCodes, I got very surprised when in the end I was able to learn some new skills and put them into practice when building my project. Matt is a very good teacher and all the team was amazing! I highly recommend this workshop to women who are interested in developing coding skills.
