I had a lot of fun exploring the world of programming. It was a perfect balance between learning new things in a short time and exploring independently. The course was super structured and gave just the right input through the learning units. The homework assignments allowed you to check your own learning, which was motivating and made you proud. The support from the community was terrific and despite being online, you never had the feeling that you had to struggle through alone. As a psychologist, it gave me the perfect insight to delve more into the world of digitalisation and to learn more about the people in that field.
Learned more than I ever thought possible in the time frame. Matt is a great instructor, and the SheCodes community on Slack is very supportive and responsive.
Having done a few short coding courses in the past, I am so glad that I chose to do learn to code with SheCodes! Well paced learning and super helpful support team who are always on hand to help. I really loved the Beginners SheCodes course. Being almost sure that I won't be able to ever understand coding, I am not afraid of It now and did my first steps on the land of coding. At times It was challenging, but I got support from SheCodes in the chat and later on, after a couple of tasks, some of them seemed quite easy.

Got an email on my birthday that Matt and the SheCodes team brought out new course. The natural path was to join it. Five weeks later and I have yet again learned so much. Absolutely love the community and the support that we get from the SheCodes team. The short lessons makes is very easy to follow for someone like me that struggles to concentrate for long format lessons. 10/10!
I was very fearful of trying something so far out of my said "area" of studies, but i'm glad i did! And i'm especially glad i chose SheCodes to start this journey. It was a great experience working through all of the SheCodes Workshop. The newest Responsive workshop was very interesting and taught me many new skills that have been vital to my development as a Front-End Engineer. The flexibility of the course has made the journey enjoyable as commitments may change but you always feel supported in your learning.

I have only completed the SheCodes Basic course and already have learned so much, I am looking forward to leaning more in depth as I move into the other courses. I started with the introduction workshop and continued with Plus. While I highly recommend the introductory workshop to get an overview of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I was a bit disappointed with the follow-up course and wished to go more in-depth into the topics. Nonetheless, it's a great concept with great support throughout the course.
The workshop was great, I got to learn the things I was curious about and even build something small to finish it. The whole program sets participants for success and the support provided is great as well.
If you are complete beginner and feeling really overwhelmed with all the training out there for HTML, CSS and JavaScript - unsure where to start - then SheCodes is for you. Everything is broken down into simple easy to understand bitesize chunks. If you have a free 10 minutes you can easily pick up a module and complete it to the end. You can easily fit the weekly work required into your week outside of full time work and other responsibilities. SheCodes gives you round the clock support with access to their network of support staff and other learners. Just pop a question down and somebody always answers in no time.
The best coding workshop I've signed up for. Matt has done a great job turning what seems to be an intimidating skill into something small, concise and easy-to-follow steps. SheCodes helped me retain a lot of new information in a short amount of time. The support team has always been great and helpful as well. This workshop has been a great introduction to the coding world for a novice like me. I came in with no knowledge but an open mind and I have learnt a lo during my 8 weeks working on my final project. It is definitely challenging at times but you can always go back to the lessons and get help from the community and the team. I can't believe I finished my third workshop! Starting learning code was a good decision, I really enjoy the workshops, and I've learned so much with Shecode. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed but Daniela and João were always there to help! Matt's explanations are simple and super clear. Slack is a good way to debate our doubts and engage in a supporting and helpful community.
I'm basically with accounting background and eventually moved into testing line. So, I was very keen to join this workshop but at the same time was concerned to know if I can follow the coding language or not! Surprisingly, this workshop gave me a new confidence! I was so motivated to work on each challenges everyday on my own time. The support given during the workshop is great! I started to feel connected with apex app development work now. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is interested know/learn on how the coding works! If I can do it having little kid and full-time job anyone can do it.Cheers 😊
Incredibly challenging and equally interesting course. I am in awe with the potential of coding, and I particularly enjoyed learning React. SheCodes is an exceptionally good platform in guiding the learning journey of a coding analphabet as I was. The online support provided is exceptional and help you not lose your path in the forest of coding symbols.
There's a lot of info crammed into a short amount of time but it's done in a manageable way so that my brain didn't hurt too bad! It's pretty cool how I was able to amalgamate all the lessons into a final project. I have even able to make the final project related to my work as an elementary teacher. The support when I needed it was excellent but I do strongly recommend researching bugs and questions on your own because lots of additional learning happens this way! I spent way more than 5 hours per week but maybe this is because I nerd-ed out more than necessary? As with any new learning, would have to keep up the practice in order to maintain all this new knowledge. Definitely recommend!
I really recommend the SheCodes coding workshops! I started with the free coding class, then decided to do the SheCodes Basics, now I finished the SheCodes Plus!! When I was informed there would be a new SheCodes Responsive class, I remember I was already ready to take 5 week-long-course. While adjusting the curriculum with my own pace of learning, I challenged myself to finish the weekly homework earlier than the deadline. It was not easy to secure my spare time. after my full time work. By fully utilizing my early morning time before my work and minimizing my social and fun activities for my future, I was able to create the project about Climate Change successfully. Like other courses that I took, the learning journey with Matt, Joao, and other support staffs was not always smooth to carry on but definitely worthy to try again and again (but never give up). Like a quote "Your strength is your own knowledge." I would love to show my greatest appreciation to SheCodes as I believe I became intellectually stronger than before. Responsive course has taught me that we would need to consider the end users when developing any products. Nowadays, people would. check the information via mobile web and it is crucial for developers to make sure that the. webpages would be responsive and SEO friendly. Thank you again Matt and I am already excited to take another course from SheCords.

A great intro to HTML, CSS and JS, with the added bonus of a great support system for any troubleshooting, which was hard to come by. I came into this with no prior knowledge of coding and have already signed up for SheCodes Plus.
This was my second workshop with SheCodes and this was just of great of an experience as the first. Before SheCodes, I had no coding experience and wasn't sure I could be successful at it. SheCodes offers in-depth explanations, a community, and real-time help on any questions you may have. The most exciting part of it all is knowing that I am investing my time in a course that works to empower women like by giving us more access to coding and support in whatever stage we find ourselves in!
Everything is systematically and well explained in the videos. I really appreciated the support of the team and other people taking the course in Slack. This time, it required a bit more time, which unfortunately I couldn't dedicate enough of due to increased work load. Overall, great course!
The class was great, easy to follow, and the workload was just perfect for people who have a full-time job. I loved the short lesson videos. These make it easy to work on the class for short periods at a time. There is also support available to answer questions when you get stuck on something. I highly recommend it.
SheCodes Plus workshop is definitely much more challenging and demanding compared to the previous SheCodes Basic. Working step by step every week on your weather app, trying to understand more deep and complex Javascript you soon realize how amazing programming is 🤩 Thank you very much for this experience! Great support if you want to get an idea of what coding is and how it works. I will definitely continue coding! At the moment I study Marketing Management, but definitely see myself working with data in the future. To me, a good (future)marketer should understand how websites work and how customer data is gathered.

This course is incredibly useful and it's great to see the progress in building the app. It was challenging and fun at the same time. React is much easier to use and understand than VanillaJS, so I felt less overwhelmed in terms of notions and learnings. The lessons are well-structured and the Slack community is supportive in the case you feel stuck.

It was a very interesting workshop, I have learned so much. It is not easy and it does get very frustrating a lot of times but on the other hand, it does give you a huge sense of accomplishment when you see the final project finished. This course unlocked a new set of frameworks that helped expand the possibilities of code for me. I was happy to discover that many of these developer tools are accessible to anyone who is willing to learn. After watching the free coding sessions with Matt, I decided to take a chance and invest in myself. I have been wanting to learn coding for years. As a young mother of two boys, I understand the need to stay challenged and relevant in the work-force. Coding is the future and will continue to be in high demand. I want to do everything I can to stand out and continue to advance in my career path. Supporting my family is must! SheCodes is a program that I've been able to easily follow and grasp at my own pace. Not the mention the community and staff are super supportive. Highly recommend! The way that Matt explains is easeful and makes you feel confident to keep going on it. Also the team is very supportive. Can't wait to move on to React and Responsive!
Another great adventure and next learning step with SheCodes is completed! In December 2020, I couldn't even imagine myself coding a responsive weather application and now I have it in front of me working well! I would like to say big thanks to Matt for his well structured learning videos and chalenges. Also, thanks Joao for your support on slack. Definitely Shecodes workshops open the mystical door of coding to complete beginners ;) As another new workshops have just been introduced by Shecodes team (Shecodes Pro) I'm considering further learning:)! Even though I don't have any plans of changing my career path into front end development for the moment, I believe I gained a valuable knowledge, trained my logical thinking and extended my horizons.
As a beginner I didn't expect to get this far in 3 weeks, given I had no previous knowledge in design, programming or anything to do with IT. The structure of the course is perfect; clear and you can easily manage your time since the lessons are short and concise. I can't wait to start the next course at SheCodes! Thanks for all the support from the SheCodes team and everyone on Slack! 😊
I highly recommend this coding workshop. I was new to coding and felt in love with it because of SheCodes. I learnt a lot. It was challenging but there is a community to support you and it motivated me to go on. I am going to continue with coding for sure!
I was always "afraid" of coding, but with SheCodes Workshop, I saw how easy it was and made me feel empowered and ready to learn more! Matt explains everything with such patience, and I was greatful I could do it at my own pace. The chats with other women and the SheCodes staff also made me feel that I was not alone, and that I could have any question solved in a matter of hours. Amazing support.
