I would always recommend the SheCodes workshops. Even if I'm not an English native speaker or had any previous knowledge in coding, the lessons were understandable and easy to follow. Great introduction to coding! Before this course, I had little knowledge of coding. I had an interest to learn but I was hesitant about spending a great deal of money on a coding bootcamp just to find out if I liked it or not. I loved the 3-week program. The price of the program was great too! Matt is a great instructor with a supportive community. I'm planning on continuing with the SheCodes courses!

Having completed the SheCodes Basic workshop, I couldn't wait to start SheCodes Plus. I had learned so much in the first 3 weeks that I was excited to expand my knowledge and practical skills and this workshop didn't disappoint. The lessons were clear and easy to follow, with plenty of opportunity to practice and experiment with the skills being taught each week. The support team on slack have been super responsive and friendly too. I am still in awe with how much content is covered in the SheCodes courses! The curriculum is definitely challenging and complex, but you are supported and encouraged the entire time. Before the Intro class, I didn't understand how HTML, CSS, or JavaScript worked together, and now working with them simultaneously in harmony seems like a dream! Creating a fully functioning World Weather App is both humbling and exhilarating. Great workshops overall! I get fundamentals insights in React development. After this workshops I feel confident to build other React applications. Matt teaches me how to build a concept to deploy the app online. Also I have to mention it was a great support concept using Slack.
I can't believe how much I have learned and been able to put into practise in such a short space of time. It has been challenging but I've enjoyed every single part of it and the support has been amazing!

To start learning about coding was a personal (and professional) challenge. During these 8 weeks I actually had fund and learned a lot doing so. I would recommend this workshop to anyone willing to learn about coding! I work as a Technical Support Engineer and now, more than even, I feel even more ready to apply the knowledge I acquired in my day to day tasks.

SheCodes is an amazing program that does not only encouraging women to get involved in the ever-changing tech industry, but for being there to support students every step of the way with the real time support. My favorite part is that I can do this at home or anywhere on my own time, and whenever I choose. The new responsive program is amazing, and I've learned so much just in 5 weeks. Now, more than ever before - women have the perfect opportunity to step up their game in the inevitable world of technology; which is not only beneficial for brain training and problem solving for any individual, but SheCodes also provides a chance for women to develop an efficient parent support - for the women with kids, or mums to be! SheCodes Plus was an incredible roller-coaster ride, with ups and downs and full of excitement. I had a lot of fun (and got frustrated on occasions) going through the lessons and looking for solutions on Slack and other sources. Matt's videos are an excellent guide and the tech support goes above and beyond: João is a saint! Can't wait to start with SheCodes React!

After completing the first introduction course with SheCodes, i wanted to learn more. I have wanted to learn to code for a while but didn't know where to start. Matt's tutorials are very easy to follow and understand and helps us to complete the weekly homework and final projects. The support on slack is amazing and if you are stuck, you will have a reply within hours which has been a massive help. This course has been more challenging than the introduction course, but I am proud to have completed it.
I am looking at changing careers and always wanted to try coding. (I'm good with languages) :-). It was my first coding experience and I think tones more to learn. I just feel like I touched the surface. Great thing about the course, it is a hands on experience. I am pretty sure I want to continue with Javascript which is more challenging than HTML or CSS. I got frustrated on many occasions but in the end you can rely on Matt's solutions and tech support. I'm looking forward to React.
I enjoyed every coded string of this adventure! There was a lot of information so I'm definitely doing some revisions soon. Kudos to the Slack support team - they're always patient and ready to find that one missing letter/symbol/forgotten brackets that crash your code.

It was super intrigued and fun to work on two React projects in this course. Transforming all the ideas I had in the Plain JS version of the weather application to React was quite a headache for me, but at the same time really worth it. Special thanks to Joao for his support to get me out of React exhaustive loops. Also I find the what-to-do-next after SheCodes courses sent by SheCodes team very helpful. It's actually introduced me to Udacity courses to deepen my knowledge further in React.
SheCodes (& the SheCodes team) allowed me to explore programming starting at level 0. I have no formal experience and was very scared to begin and continue the other workshops. But Matt is very good at explaining and the way the videoes are cut and made is perfect for online learning.The team is supportive and responds quickly to questions & the community jumps in to help too. i was too stubborn to use them for help during the first course, but the SheCodes cominuty have been a lifeline during this workshop. im excited to start on my final workshop soon!
I've enjoyed it! There is a lot of supporting materials I could use, lessons are easy and I can always watch the video one more time in case I need a recap, so I am never behind with anything! 👍
This was such a fun adventure into the world coding! I feel like I've begun learning a new language - that of computers, which has allowed me to design my own projects! I'm a UX designer and took the workshop to learn how to code so I can better communicate and collaborate with developers. I was surprised how much fun it was to code! Matt is great at explaining important concepts and showing you how to code, but he doesn't spoon-feed you everything. He gives you the resources so you learn to research and trouble shoot. Of course there's a whole community of students and Matt himself on Slack to help and support you too when you're stuck. Matt is a rock star and I enjoyed SheCodes Radio while I was coding. It's been an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to everyone!

I've always been so curious about coding, but never took the step to commit to a course to learn more until recently. Now I've completed the SheCodes Workshop, I can't believe I left it so long! I am so proud of what I've achieved and it's completely demystified everything I thought about coding. I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who's ever wanted to test the 'coding waters'. The classes stretch and challenge you - all at a really good pace - and the support which is available beyond the workshops, is so helpful. I found this course very useful to create a very complete app to add to your portfolio. In terms of difficulty, I think this course is suitable for a novice that has some notions of the topic and wants to learn more, and not so much the absolute beginner because it may get lost very easily. Other than that, the support you get from the technical team (aka João!) is amazing and the staff, in general, are super nice and supportive. Let's keep coding!
SheCodes gives you the opportunity to get a taste of programming. Matt gives a great introduction and shows you how easy programming can be and how much fun it can be. Also the helpful tips and support from the whole SheCodes team was great. For me, it was a wonderful opportunity to discover a new passion and I will continue to explore programming.
SheCodes Plus was a bigger challenge with new layers of complexity. After finishing the weather app project, the feeling is amazing seeing the final results. With all the support from the SheCodes team, it has been smoother sailing.

The program started off with a review of introductory HTML, CSS, and Javascript and then proceed to improve upon those skills. At times, the course was challenging and the support of the SheCodes team gave me the support I needed to complete the more challenging tasks. I am incredibly proud of the Weather App I've built using HTML, CSS, and Javascript and I look forward to continuing to learn more advanced components.
I have learned so much in such a short space of time. I never believed that this language was even attainable for someone like me. Last year I joined SheCodes for the very first time and did the first two workshops coding related that I've ever done. More recently I needed to refresh my skill set and update it in order to embrace a more complex challenge, that's why I enrolled in the "Online Responsive Development Workshop". I learnt a lot of new technologies and now I feel capable to build a unique online portfolio on my own. Even though my design competences are not the best, now I feel comfortable with the creation of a website and everything related to its structure. Once again, I have to thank to Matt Delact and SheCodes for giving us this opportunity to learn that much. With your powerfull lessons, the organized and detailed program, the homeworks and constantly support, I think it is not possible to dislike it. I do recommend it to everyone!

I remember taking coding classes at school as a kid, but I never enjoyed it as it was boring and mundane, and as a result never sought the interest to make a career out of it. However, enrolling and taking Matt's classes and learning simultaneously with his instructions, as well as the immediate and constant support from staff and fellow learners at Slack, made my coding journey so refreshing and exciting; I learned so much more in 3-4 weeks than I ever did in a year as a fifth grader. I definitely see the value coding can give my career, and I hope to go further and take more advanced courses with SheCodes.
SheCodes Plus has been amazing at the very least, I had a lot of fun while learning valuable coding skills and working on the final project. There have been times when I felt stuck and frustrated but the community here at SheCodes is so so helpful and supportive and it is sure to get you back on track. Joining SheCodes is one of the best decisions I've made in a long time, for myself. It has been really challenging and sometimes frustrating, but the SheCodes team really gives you all the tools and the support you need to succeed and it has been absolutely amazing. Matt is an incredible teacher and explains every step in a very good way and the weekly homeworks and challenges takes you to the goal step by step. It is also a nice atmosphere where it is okay to fail and try again, that is what learning new things is all about. I recomend SheCodes to anyone who want's to learn how to code!
Not going to lie, it was a bit of a struggle for me to grasp how React works at first, but with each challenge, it all came together and actually became a lot of fun. I was so excited to see there was not one, but two projects to work on for this course. And as usual, the SlackChat provided a lot of support and help whenever I got a little stuck. Learning React has been such an adventure, I have really enjoyed all of the workshops that Matt created. I am really glad I took Shecodes 👩🏾💻 instead of self-learning. Learning the basics through a guided video as well as having support from the Shecodes team and classmates really helped 🤝🏽when I was confused 😵. And for all those who are terrified of coding because you think math ➗➕ is involved... it's not (or at least not at this level). Like anything else, it's just a new language that needs to be learned and understood. If you have the time ⌚, I would recommend taking the workshops given. Recently, I go on my websites as usual, but now I start to the different elements behind the scenes. These workshops have really opened up my mind to a new computerized world.
This is such an excellent workshop: Matt is a wonderful instructor who makes all these concepts really accessible. I've watched a lot of online React tutorials and no one else is quite as good. The support provided over Slack is also invaluable. If you're even remotely curious about development, you ought to sign up!
Easily the best workshop I've done in a long time! I became addicted to finishing the short lessons and found it so satisfying to complete a few challenges in one sitting.
