SheCodes is a great platform. I believe if a person wants learn coding, starting with HTML and CSS is a right choice and SheCodes is just the perfect place for it. I cannot believe that I have a real-life project of my own to showcase. I am forever thankful to the whole team for all the support. I was a great learning experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes workshop! The videos were very easy to follow and the mini-challenges helped to solidify my learning. I also loved the support system on Slack as it made me feel more confident when dealing with particularly challenging aspects of the tasks.
I couldn't believe I was actually coding! The lessons with the mini challenges were so incredibly helpful and the slack community to answer questions really made me feel like I had the correct support.

This is definitely an upgrade from basics! Learnt so much, had so much fun, definitely doable even with a full-time job. The information taught was done amazingly by instructor Matt and the team provided good support at every milestone of this course. Really appreciated that the course also included a typical workflow of front-end development and some tips on how to communicate your work to bosses!
I've always wanted to start coding. I've tried several (actually countless) online courses and unfortunately nothing was able to keep my attention for so long. In those, there are no interactions, no community. The most you can interact with those classes are by pressing play and pause on a video player - which might work for a few people but not for me. SheCodes is different. There's a community, there's support. They indeed start from scratch and that makes programming quite possible. And honestly, for me, this hasn't been only a life changing course but also an amazing self-confidence exercise. If you are reading this, you definitely can do it, girl!
What an adventure it has been learning from SheCodes! I could not believe how many skills I learned in a rather short period of time. Each assignment creates a space to practice what we learned in the videos. I loved how I was able to ask questions and connect with classmates in a separate service. It was great to have some extra support or be able to ask a question if I was feeling confused. With having many people, from many countries to talk and learn from, there was always someone or something that helped me understand our lessons deeper. I am grateful that each lesson is a video, which can be rewatched and paused as well as the Caption option since I have impaired hearing. I highly recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding and wants to explore this digital side of creativity.
Being furloughed, I was interested in growing my skill set to potentially change fields. I wanted to give coding a try knowing it plays a major role in nearly all businesses. I had no prior knowledge in coding and, honestly, i'm not even great with technology/computers in general and I was able to LEARN SO MUCH and felt so supported. Don't get me wrong there were times i got super frustrated, but the video tutorials were super helpful along side the support team you can ask questions to at anytime. Thats ultimately what led to my success in finishing the course, and i'm so glad I did.
The weather app was the second project I was able to realize through SheCodes. I learned such fundamental things as using APIs, using a hosting service to make my app accessible online and how to connect and update this hosting service with my code on GitHub. Besides that my understanding for Java Script was really broadened. At the same time this course was definitely much more complex than "SheCodes Basics" and I really struggled sometimes. When I got stuck the support of SheCodes helped out very professionally! Big shout-out to João and Bruno!!
I have always been interested in coding. I, unfortunately, was told I was not a good fit for coding when I enrolled in college due to my lifestyle (wife and mother of two). I decided to follow the counselor's advice and in 2020 completed my major in Creative Writing. Throughout my school years, however, I took some coding classes and came across SheCodes--a coding program specifically built for women! Now that I am more confident and have more time for myself, I signed up with SheCodes ^_^ The lessons are broken down in a way that makes learning to code approachable, and the final project truly involved all that I learned. The SheCodes support team was very kind, understanding, and helpful. It's an efficient and easy-to-follow program, I recommend it to all.

An excellent course! This course was very challenging and a big step up from the introduction course and I can't believe how much we covered in such a short period of time. Matt is an excellent teacher and I definitely made use of the real-time support and guidance from the other teachers more in this course than the introductory course. An engaging, exciting and fun course! The last 3 weeks have been challenging but rewarding - I have learnt plenty in a short space of time. Being surrounded by such a supportive community has made the topic of coding that much more enjoyable. I highly encourage anyone who is new to coding to enroll in this workshop. Not only is this course entailed with comprehensive content, you are also given plenty of opportunities to apply the content with the extra advantage of having this reviewed by peers and tutors.
The SheCodes workshops are fun and most importantly very supportive to people brushing up on new skills. The format is easy for me to follow and well paced- very doable even for someone with a full time job and long commute.
SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to coding. I loved how lessons were structered in a way to combine knowledge and practice. I took this course because I want to create my personal webpage to "show off"my Instructional Design and Training portfolio. I relearned HTML and CSS, from many years ago. (smile) Not only did I become familiar with the lastest version of HTML and CSS, I also became familiar with Javascript. (Wow). Learning these tools was very exciting. The structure of the course (micro-lessons) coupled with the exercises facilitated mastering the concepts. I know a little and now I'm dangerous (smile), however, I know I need to learn more. I want to learn more! With this format I know I can learn more quite easily. The support staff on Slack was excellent and provided timely feedback. I would highly recommend this course.
This workshop is a great intro to coding. I love that it gives you all the basics and a support team on Slack yet also teaches you to be an independent learner and do your own research.

SheCodesPlus has been both a fun and challenging journey for me! I enjoyed the fact that I could watch the video lessons as many times as I needed and I could even go back to them after a while in case of doubts! SheCodes provides a great opportunity to develop a feeling for the world of coding - compresensive descriptions, personal feedback and support, lessons on demand. It is really fun to test one's own recently learned skills in small challenges and to be able to detect mistakes. SheCodes provides an insight into the WorldWideWeb from the other side of the computer.
I had no prior experience about coding before but I learned a lot in SheCodes. I never really had the confidence to finish this course but the workshop was really beginner friendly and the support of the SheCodes team from Slack helped me to push through despite the frustrations! I would like to improve the skills I learned in the next workshop!

I also appreciate that he does not share too much information, so I am never overwhelmed. Sometimes it was so good to hear from him something like "You do not need to understand this right now." I really enjoyed SheCodes' lessons and challenges and the friendly community. Matt and the SheCodes team are great at helping and supporting you when you need it. I registered to SheCodes Basic workshop 3 weeks ago and I feel it was a very good decision. I truly recommend SheCodes, because I am a very visual person and for me details like the platform which is very well organised with beautiful colors and designs, the classes are well explained specially topics like JavaScript which are usually a bit hard to understand, thanks Matt for explain it in an easy way, the homeworks are supervised weekly and also we received help of our mentors and you can even have a reply a Sunday which I though it was not possible. I thank SheCodes, Matt, Daniela and mentors for making a very friendly, didactic, supportive and beautiful program.

I really enjoyed this class! I had absolutely zero coding experience, and I will say this class was a bit more challenging than I anticipated. If you are someone who needs a lot of repetition, like me, you may be spending more than 5 hours a week working on this class. Matt is a great teacher who makes coding easy to understand, and provides a great deal of resources for students. The slack chat with technical support is very helpful as well. I feel very excited to continue my journey in tech and have already recommended this class to several friends!

After completing SheCodes Basics, the SheCodes Plus course was a steep learning curve – but I knew I had support every step of the way. The in-depth lessons of this course have helped me understand how to connect CSS, Javascript, and HTML to work with one another, as well as how to integrate APIs effectively. All in all, I've gained new and practical knowledge. If you're someone looking to take your coding skills to the next level, I highly recommend this course!

I am so happy I found SheCodes! I had been learning how to code on my own for a few months already. And though I did learn quite a bit, I was struggling a lot. I felt lost in this new world, and it was very easy to procrastinate. I didn't think I could code. I had not used a computer in years. This course was so simple to navigate for me despite my lack of using a computer. The structure of this course is easy to follow. Although the challenges are, well, challenging, I had an immense amount of fun expanding my knowledge in this new-to-me industry. Love the support from the team as well! Can't wait to use my new skills for a career change!

This workshop was amazing! I really appreciate the fact that the course is pre-recorded, as it gave me freedom to do things on my own pace. Lessons were very informative, clear and straight-up to the point. I would reccomend SheCodes to anyone who wants to start coding, as it is an incredible introduction to three coding languages! Having completed shecodesBasics, I really enjoyed it and decided to take the next step to ShecodesPlus. This one was much more challenging and it took me much longer than expected (due to being on maternity leave and looking after a young baby full time!). The team are very understanding and supportive and I genuinely don't think there is another course out there like this one. Thanks so much to the Shecodes team for producing this course for people like me! Definitely taking it even further and going on to do React as I've learnt so much already and keen to learn more!

In the past two months, I was trying to build my online portfolio. It was painful. If I had done this course before starting my own webpage, the whole process would be much easier than it was. I have tried to learn coding from the many free online courses, free sites and have bought books over the years but nothing has helped me grasp the concepts and stick with my learning the way SheCodes has. Everything just makes sense now, I felt I had full, guided support and having paid for a course I felt more committed to completing it. I work, am studying for a degree and have demanding family commitments but could fit this course in around all that as it is so flexible.
