This was one of the best investements I have made for myself! Super proud of everything I have learned, it was really eye-opening to see for myself how all web pages are built, I mean we use them everyday so I enjoyed building some! The course is written in an easy to follow order, very understandable especially for a complete beginner like me, it's very easy to jump from a lesson to another and feel like you are learning so much. I loved having a community of individuals who are starting on the same path and I loved having the support from the team, it helped massively when I didn't know something or I was stuck! Coming to the end of Shecodes Plus and building a weather app for my final project wasn't easy but it was definitely worth it. Shecodes has been phenomenal in the style of teaching and the wealth of resources made available to support women learn how to code. I never could have learnt coding if it wasn't for Shecodes. So I would recommend it over and over again to any woman out there who has access to a laptop and who would like to learn how to code.
The SheCodes plus workshop has been a lovely learning experience! Challenging at times, but always fun. I've really enjoyed working on my project which definitely is more comprehensive compared to the Introductory Workshop project. I absolutely love the classes! As someone who is new to coding, I was intimidated by the idea of learning a new skill, but the instructors have been incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. I'm so happy that I could finish this journey. React was so strange at the beginning but it got better and better after learning each course. She codes was straightforward and very easy to follow along. The supportive community makes this program work! Hoping to continue onto further lessons.
Building a project step by step along with Matt has been great, I'm really proud of my work! However, two main challenges I had with SheCodesPlus: 1. The JavaScript concepts are oftentimes not thoroughly explained, it remains for the most part quite superficial, you WILL need to dig deeper on your own. I personnally studied with a bunch of Youtube videos and a Codecademy course in parallell. 2. Towards the end of the project, everything revolving around API needs to be updated. In Matt's video, he uses an older API than the one you're supposed to use. So it's quite tricky to follow his steps and understand everything. The Slack chat can be really helpful in this moment, which is very nice. All in all I'm happy with my work, happy with my progress, and the support on Slack is great. But I remain slightly disappointed by the video courses which left a lot of questions unanswered. That's the beauty of code, you might say. The learning never stop!
Truthfully, I never thought I would one day learn how to code, let alone learn how to work with multiple languages synchronized together. I am immensely proud of myself for achieving this feat and grateful for Matt and the SheCodes team for every bit of help and support they provided. I cannot wait to go on and keep learning and growing with this new skill - here's to future projects!

As all previous workshops, SheCodes React was super interesting and full of valuable information! I learned a lot of things that will surely aid me to start a career as a front-end web developer. New concepts are introduced in small portions to make them easy to understand and practice with the daily challenges. And even though there are deadlines to lean on, if your life really gets too busy (like mine did), you can always come back later and continue/ finish the course when you have the time. The tech support will still be there for you as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn about React JS or just continue their coding journey. I was in Tech Sales for around 12 years, but I always knew that was not my happy place. After I took the first SheCodes class, I finally realised that my real passion is not selling Tech, it's being in it! I decided to switch careers and I've never been this motivated and happy. As a designer with an education in UI/UX and strong interest in front-end development, SheCodes Basic and Plus were valuable resources on my journey towards refreshing my knowledge of HTML/CSS and Git, as well as picking up new ones in JS, APIs, and more. The lessons were clear and concise, and I liked that the platform allowed me to view and review the SheCodes videos, notes, and other recourses at my own pace. I'm so glad I enrolled in She Codes. The structure of the workshops are fantastic, I love that I am able to learn when it suits me but with the discipline of a weekly deadline. Studying coding with SheCodes has been a fantastic experience for me. I just started two weeks ago and knew nothing about coding. After two weeks I am delighted to say that I confidently have learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. These classes are full of fun, intrigue, and sometimes intensity. I mean intensity, positively. The pre-recorded lessons are excellent. However, video recordings alone are not enough to convey information. Hence, in order to learn faster, you need to listen attentively, take notes, and practice rewriting codes repeatedly. In spite of the fact that I only asked one question and found the solution before receiving a reply from the team. There is no doubt in my mind that the SheCodes team is awesome. Their support is always available to students, and students can count on them at any time. Prior to enrolling in the course, I had a lot of doubts about whether I should invest money in SheCodes. As a result of taking the classes covered in the first three weeks, I can say without a doubt that this has been the most valuable investment I have ever made. In addition to that, I also had concerns about payment and wrote an email to Matt elaborating on this topic. Upon receiving a response, I was offered a discount and the option of making monthly payments, which was very comforting for me. As a side note, I'd like to mention that I was neither paid nor pressured to write this testimony. It was entirely my wish to do so. First of all, when I got my courses I wasn't sure to start and what if I couldn't understand and result in just disappointment. But when I started to learn with this great and flexible schedule, all those feelings disappeared. I highly recommend this platform, just do it and start it. A really hectic week. Very challenging, very informative. I've learnt so much from Matt's classes, the program is very supportive. I also love how the team isn't spoonfeeding, and leaves room for you to consult other resources such as Google in order to find ways to deal with other challenges as well as be creative. Genuinely loved every step of the way.
Doing this course has really helped me feel like I'm finally getting somewhere with coding. I liked how the course was designed and all of the necessary support was available.
