It's been a pleasant surprise enrolling in SheCodes workshop and now SheCodes Plus. I had no experience in coding whatsoever and it allowed me to learn a lot and be more prepared for a digital world. And most importantly, it feels like I have super powers now! Thanks to all the team.
SheCodes Plus was a great next step for learning how to code in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The weekly challenges and homework were not easy but were broken down into digestible pieces, and I was able to successfully complete the workshop during weekends and after work. Matt provides really clear and concise recorded lessons with follow-up videos to walk you through each challenge and assignment's recommended solution. If more guidance is ever needed, additional help is always available over Slack. I do not have a math or programming background, yet I was able to grasp the concepts and after completing the weather app project, I feel more confident in my understanding and ability to read and create code to build useful applications. I recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has completed the 3-week introduction workshop, and wants to learn more!
SheCodes was an awesome experience. After the SheCode weekend I got the code bug and wanted to learn more about it and more techniques. SheCodes Plus was the way to go, the classes are easy to follow, and you can watch them and work on your project in your own pace, which is great. Matt has the ability of explaining something complicated in the easiest way and has an incredible team working with him to ensure that every student feels welcomed and get help if necessary. It was a great experience, really fit people with no coding background at all.
I began this workshop because I wanted to see if I could actually understand it and like it. I had no idea what coding even was. I had heard about JavaScript and HTML but never knew exactly what they were. I was so nervous thinking "Well there goes my money down the drain. I'm not going to understand any of this." First week went so smoothly. Even my husband who knows a bit about coding was impressed how quick I understood how HTML and CSS worked. I caught on quick. Now JavaScript I struggled with it but after going back to the lesson and re-watching the videos and playing around with it, it finally clicked. The way that Matt taught was so easy to understand. I will definitely be doing the SheCodes Plus React! I enjoyed it so much that now I'm thinking about a career change. Thank you!

If you have even the slightest interest in coding, do the SheCodes Workshop! At first I was a bit skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the course as I've attempted to code in the past but it never stuck. Believe me, it's worth it! The videos are clear, concise and Matt makes everything as easy to follow as possible. The challenges and homework set out are one of the things that stick out for me from the programme compared to other learning platforms; They encourage you to practise what you've learnt and research things on your own. Another amazing perk is that Matt teaches you not only how to code, but also provides tips along the way of which resources are best to use alongside. It's been an amazing experience and I look forward to doing the SheCodes Plus workshop next!

I have always been curious and eager to learn. While, as a scientist I have been introduced to coding trough that spectrum (targeting essentially statistics), I was missing the development and creative side. SheCodes is, for me, the best way to start and learn coding. The platform, in addition to the great support by the team and other students, makes you feel highly motivated as well as making the learning process much faster. I'm so happy I came across SheCodes and I am so excited to start the next phase with SheCodes plus! 🤗

I am an accountant and graduate student by day and a newbie coder by night. My journey started a few weeks ago when a colleague challenged me to learn how to code. Up until that day I had always perceived the goal as too difficult and unobtainable for me, but that all changed when I stumbled upon a SheCodes advertisement on Instagram. Thank goodness I did because before that I had researched online and felt overwhelmed by the thousands of programs that can range anywhere from $99 to over $15,000. I took the free 60-minute webinar first and immediately was pulled in by Matt Delac's teaching style, the format of the course and how easy it was to follow along. The first week I felt just a tad bit intimidated, but each lesson really takes you step by step and I can tell that I have begun to absorb the information. It's exciting to wake up in the morning and feel eager to learn something new. This class is perfect for anyone with little to no background of coding like myself and also provides an amazing opportunity to network with like-minded women who are also looking for a challenge. I give SheCodes, 10 out of 10 and I cannot wait to start the next workshop, SheCodes Plus React. I went as far as starting a GoFundMe to get the cash to be able to take the next course. I've never felt more motivated!
I am a dentist by profession,and had been sitting at home during the lockdown of 2020. My mind was figeting with the idea of learning something new. Coding always fascinated me,but intricacies were also very intimidating. I joined SheCodes workshop to get an idea if I would like to learn this further, and at the end of 3 weeks I can say that this is the most simplified and in-depth course for a even a bigenner like me. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who wants to learn coding and has zero knowledge of it(like me). The fact that after each lesson we have to complete projects helps tremendously. I am looking forward to joining the SheCodes Plus workshop soon.

I'm so happy that I did this workshop! The workshop taught me much more than all I learned by myself in the past. I liked the compact videos which made it convenient to watch them after work. Every information was given to you step by step what made it easy to learn and to understand. I would definitely recommend this for beginners and I'm looking forward to the SheCodes Plus workshop ;)
SheCodes Plus is a very fun and easy way of learning. This course really helped me to understand JavaScript better. And when you need some help there is always someone who can help you on your way through Slack.

I really liked this workshop. It reinforced concepts I'd learned during my time as an undergraduate as a Computer Science major. I never gotten the chance to be formally taught JavaScript, so it was nice that this course introduced it. I want to become a front-end developer and I believe this online workshop will give me the knowledge I need to be able to get a job I plan on continuing on to SheCodes Plus React
After completing the first SheCodes workshop, I'm happy I joined SheCodes Plus! In SheCodes Plus, there's a great transition from the material in the first workshop. You never feel like you've missed anything. The pace of the course works well with the content. The material is challenging, but you can grow so much. It was really satisfying to be finished my project, and I feel more confident in my skills. As always, the lovely helpers on Slack are always there if you need clarification. Definitely recommend!

I became aware of SheCodes through Instagram and was at first unsure whether it would work. Then I took part in the Free Coding Class and that convinced me. Now I really enjoy coding and I have already learned a lot. When I have more time I will also attend the SheCodes Plus course.🤗👩🏼💻
SheCodes Plus is a great way to learn more advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after the first workshop. The weather app was a fun project to work on!
There were times I was frustrated and a little frightened because of the unknown, but those are the moments when I believe I learned the most. I believe it is true that anyone can learn to code. You have to be patient and not give up. You have to keep at it, keep trying, ask for help when you need it. Coding teaches you how to be a problem solver and that can be the most rewarding part. I have recommended this class to others. I love that it is a learning platform just for women. Thank you, Matt, for your contribution to closing the gender gap between men and women in coding. Please keep up the great work! I look forward to next week when I start the SheCodes Plus workshop
I must say that the last few weeks were very interesting and full of new discoveries. Who would have thought coding was so much fun and at the same time also frustrating. Especially when your own knowledge on the subject is lacking or you just need to find a solution to a problem that seams giant at first but then is just a typo (mostly). I am so happy I took the time this year to learn a new skill and try out coding back in April with SheCodes Workshop and continued with SheCodes Plus. I can not wait to see what coding future I can discover and learn some more about programming. Since I was a total beginner this basic course was perfect for me since the lessons were exactly my level. I have tried other tutorials before but ended up not finishing most of them because I would not understand the basics and was not knowing what I was doing. I can`t wait to start SheCodes Plus!
Having neatly zero knowledge of programming language before march 2020, in a couple of weeks through SheCodes and SheCodes Plus courses I managed to start taking my baby steps on the programming world. SheCodes Plus is a huge step forward, compared to SheCodes introduction. I would highly recommend taking this next level to get more confident and comfortable with CSS and HTML, but mostly to develop your JavaScript Skills. On SheCodes plus, not only you learn the tolls, skills and resources to be more independent in coding. You also learn how to use GitHub, host your projects online and, more importantly understand how these tools can also help you boost your CV and showcase your projects to potential employers! I cannot describe how helpful and how much did I learned during these last 8 weeks. It was extraordinary and allowed me to feel so much more empowered. Now, I can't wait to proceed with React! Again, I find Matt a really good tutor and the supporting Slack Team extraordinary. They have been an undeniable asset on this journey.
SheCodes Plus is a great way to make your introduction to Front-End Development. You'll learn a lot and challenge yourself while building a hands-on, fun and useful app as your final project. The lessons are clear and straight to the point. The Slack community is great to meet other coders and ask for help with your project.

It's such a wonderful thing to know that we are capable of always pushing ourselves more and more... I found SheCodes by chance. I was looking to reinvent myself and saw their ad on instagram and tried their free workshop. Right after the workshop I subscribe to SheCodes plus workshop. I knew I had found something that really enjoy the moment I finished the 1h workshop with Matt. I'm so glad I cliked on that ad. SheCodes is super user friendly, the community is great, the workshops are both easy and challenging just enough and you have great support. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try coding !
SheCodes Plus is what I needed to gain the confidence to pursue a career in front-end developing. Matt is an awesome teacher who is thorough and honest. I really enjoyed building the final project and I feel that my knowledge is solid and earned. My goal is to find a career in web development and continue gaining knowledge into software engineering and SheCodes is the perfect kick start.

After attending college for Graphic Design and Web Design and Development I continued my education with a few private colleges across Ontario. Unfortunately, I felt like I didn't retain some of the information I had learned in JavaScript it's a bit more complicated to learn than HTML and CSS. I came across SheCodes and thought it would be a great way to review my skill sets during the pandemic and continue to prepare me for a Jr. Front-End Web Developer position that much better and it has, I'm looking forward to continuing with SheCodes Plus and SheCodes React. SheCodes supplies you with videos to follow along to and it makes a huge difference for me in retaining information.

The workshop was great! Every subject was divided into short videos, which made it very easy to understand. If you want, you can pause the video, speed it up or slow it down to match your individual pace. I can't wait to start with SheCodes Plus!
I really enjoyed the introduction to coding with SheCodes! I had been thinking about changing into product management for a long time but wasn't sure if I would like the coding aspects of it. I was really doubting if I would be able to do it and what's more important if I would enjoy it. These last few weeks have been extremely interesting and exciting for me. I had so much fun learning and creating new things. I find coding very rewarding as you see the results of your work almost immediately. I especially loved the final project as you get the chance to create something on your own and get to be really creative. The videos provided by Matt were very easy to follow and I learned a lot in such a short time! The community provided by SheCodes is great as you can both find help and help others! It feels like a safe space to ask any questions if you ever get stuck and you always get very quick feedback from the nice SheCodes team if the other girls can't help you out. I would absolutely recommend SheCodes and I am so much looking forward to continuing my learning in SheCodes Plus!
After participating in the "SheCodes Workshop", I became eager to learn more about coding, a world I had never stepped into before, which is why I decided to do the "SheCodes Plus" one. The classes are well structured and easy to follow! The information is provided progressively, so you don't feel overwhelmed. Also, Matt shares plenty of tools, tips and tricks that will help you better understand how things work! I'm also very thankful for the team and all the volunteers, who were always very kind and helpful, and for our slack community, ;)! The SheCodes Workshop was an AWESOME experience! The course is broken down into bitesize pieces, and the challenges at the end of each lesson were really helpful with practicing and reinforcing the content as you learn. Matt is truly a great teacher and is able to explain JavaScript in a way everybody will understand. SheCodes Plus was the coolest challenged i've had in a long time. The way the lessons are interlocked makes it really easy to learn at your pace. This workshop has definetely opened up my interest in programming. Would definetly recomend!

This is a wonderful 3-week course! The lessons were surprisingly easy to follow along with on my own, and I liked that there was a community of other women taking the course that I could turn to for help if I needed it. I had very minimal experience with coding before SheCodes and wasn't certain that it was something that I would enjoy doing, however now after taking the intro classes I'm certain it is something I would enjoy pursuing as a full-time career. I was also pleased with the price for the courses - other coding bootcamps I've researched are a lot more expensive, so I was happy SheCodes was something I could do without "emptying my wallet." The instructor, Matt, was good as well in terms of being able to create clear, concise lessons and videos to follow along with. I found I didn't have a lot of questions or wasn't lost often because I wasn't struggling to understand what was going on. I'm excited to continue on to SheCodes Plus! to learn more!

This was my first time dipping my toes in the coding-waters. I honestly didn't know what I was getting myself into and worried that I would never manage to keep up. I found this introductory workshop so easy to follow and enjoyed seeing the results of each challenge. I had a lot of fun completing this workshop and intend to upgrade to SheCodes Plus with a very real confidence in my abilities!

I did a SheCodes Workshop last year and loved it so much, I decided to apply to SheCodes Plus. I wanted to practice more, to know more about code and the logic behind it. This three-week course didn't only give me a good basic introduction of front-end development to enhance my UX Designer role, but also made me find out how cool a SheCodes online workshop is! The learning materials are well structured and prepared in manageable lengths so that tackling the tasks and weekly challenges are fun even for someone who's working full-time during the workshop. SheCodes Workshop is an exceptional place to learn the basic coding HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I have been trying to learn by my own with free platforms before knowing SheCodes and basically I was only memorizing codes and not understanding how to combine html and css at the same time. With SheCodes Workshop you learn by doing since the very beginning and it is the way how we really absorbe knowledge. Matt Delac explains concepts on a simple and concise way. He also organized and made interactive exercises where you have to investigate yourself some codes. I will definitely upgrade for SheCodes Plus.

I do believe it's never too late to start pursuing something you always want to do and it's happened to me with coding. This time last year I would not see myself to be able to create a web page from the scratch and today I'm publishing my very first coding piece of work 🤩 Thank to this pandemic for giving me more free-time to seriously focus on coding and with SheCodes, my self-taught coding journey has been so much easier. A big call out to Matt and João who have been so accommodating and patient to address all of my inquiries on Slack including "silly" ones 😂🙈🙏. I started by attending SheCodes Workshop on a weekend with the main goal of discover more about the coding world and then I decided to attend to SheCodes Plus. Everything is explained in a simple and attractive way. Highly recommend if you are considering to start a career in the coding world and have a deeper knowledge about it.
SheCodes Plus was a great learning experience! In just a few weeks we're able to deepen our HTML/CSS/JS knowledge, use GIT and GitHub, (finally) understand what an API really does, and put the development workflow we learnt in practice by building a weather app from scratch. Many thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, who were amazing throughout the whole course.
I really enjoyed completing the SheCodes Plus program. Matt has a straightforward teaching style that makes understanding complex ideas feel easy, which is really empowering! An extremely interesting program and the flexibility to do it whenever we have the time is great, as I work during the day and did it mostly at night or weekends! SheCodes Plus was a great challenge and a rewarding experience. Every week includes courses and exercises that allows you to learn and to build, step-by-step, your own application. SheCodes team was very helpful when I had questions and they check on your evolution during the course. I would like to express gratitude to Matt and his team for all the knowledge that was shared. SheCodes Plus is a great course for those who want to get into the coding world and have no experience. Not only you learn how to code, but also how to plan and improve your workflow so you can make great projects!
This has been the most rewarding experience in a really long time. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. The videos and challenges are very practical and easy to follow. I am continuing my experience with the SheCodes Plus React.
SheCodes Plus was an awesome way to learn about something I love, and actually accomplish something on my own. Matt is a great teacher, and it was really easy to follow the talks and get stuff done!
I have attended SheCodes, SheCodes Plus and React and it wasn't always easy but it was worth every second! It's the most rewarding feeling when you start figuring out a language and are able to create whatever you want.

I really liked SheCodes Plus course because you can build your own vanilla application end to end, while learning step by step with classes and challenges. At the same time you can ask for help and help other people in the same course, which is great!
SheCodes plus was amazing! The course structure was perfect, I was able to follow the reccommended deadlines throughout the whole course. Then at the end I was also free to take longer to finish the final project. The video tutorials are very clear and the challenges provide the perfect base to cement the ideas learned in the tutorial. I am so proud to have a project that I can use for my portfolio. Thanks Matt and the SheCodes team!
SheCodes Plus gave me a chance to learn more about coding and really fall in love with the process of building something from scratch through a few lines of code.
I had zero knowledge about coding before I tried SheCodes. Now I know the basics to create my own website! The fact that this course is only for girls, it makes you feel very comfortable to ask questions, help each other and helps teambuilding. I'm really looking forward to start Shecodes plus as soon as possible!
I've continued my coding journey with SheCodes Plus following SheCodes beginner course. Overall it was a great experience which I learned a lot and got to work on very challenging projects. Thanks to SheCodes now I can build stuff from scratch!

SheCodes Plus was great because I could develop what I initially started in SheCodes - Lisbon. The online platform was very well organized. The rewatchable Tuesday classes, the challenges videos + the exercises sequences helped me a lot to prepare myself to do the weekly homework. Never in my life I thought I could actually be capable of building a proper app, with real time information. This workshop sometimes was "sweat, blood and tears" but when I got things done and working it was a huge feeling of accomplishment! I strongly recommend this to all women who want to have a real understanding of what really is Front-End Development and its frameworks. SheCodes gave me the tools and now it's up to me to keep on learning! It boosted my confidence to pursue this as a career change! Thank you Matt, João and all the SheCodes staff!

Matt is a great instructor. He presented all of the information in a way that was easy to understand. I feel that the material was structured very well with a good balance of live classes along with the convenience of learning at our own pace at home. I enjoyed the whole experience - learning, the homework, the project...all of it! I will be looking for the SheCodes Plus availability that will fit my schedule soon.
SheCodes workshop is a fast-paced crash course program that gives you a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and is the perfect place to understand whether coding is for you without committing too much time or money. SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) . Thank you all! I am looking forward to learning more about coding in the next program I got enrolled into - SheCodes Plus - and to build an app at the end of the program.
SheCodes Plus has been an enlightening experience! I've been able to play with my creativity and build amazing things. It has been a challenge al the way through but it definitely feels like a huge accomplishment at the end!
