I learned the basics in just one week, and I feel pretty confident in my newfound knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm looking forward to further expand my knowledge as I move on to SheCodes Plus workshop.

SheCodes Basics was a great jumping off point to dive into Plus. The modules felt like mini intensives, opportunities to explore concepts like APIs and frameworks in an easy to manage way. There's definitely a lot of information available online but SheCodes Plus was a helpful anchor to ground in without getting lost or overwhelmed. Before I even realized it had happened, I was drawing on knowledge to solve problems on my own and now when I branch out and read about coding on other forums I'm ecstatic to find that I can follow what I'm seeing. SheCodes has definitely helped me see the depth of my own inner well and start filling it with resources and knowledge.

With the SheCodes Plus workshop I have been able to expand my knowledge of HTML, Java Script and CSS. It has required a lot of concentration and time of dedication but it has been worth it. All the videos, slack channels and information sources available have been of great help. I will certainly continue this path of learning.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Plus after completing SheCodes Basics! Matt is a very good instructor, giving real-life examples that help to memorize & the support team is always very reactive and helpful. Being part of the community on Slack also helps to resolve problems, as other students often face the same issues. I feel now comfortable enough to code my own projects and try new things independently. I highly recommend this path to everyone!
SheCodes Plus has been enlightening. I've finally been able to see how to work with the API's and how they are used and to be able to apply them to my project has been a challenge!! I can't wait to see what I'm going to learn next!!
SheCodes Plus is really challenging. You get to learn how to integrate real data, work on your visuals so it looks nice on different devices and keep track of your coding so you can see your progression/changes. Would highly recommend this if you want to take things further.
SheCodes Basics was a great intro to coding and design, but SheCodes Plus takes everything you learned to a higher level. From learning to improve our designs with fonts, visuals & content positioning to learning complex functions and integrating real life data...this workshop really challenges you to step up your coding game!

SheCodes Plus was a rather enjoyable experience. Each section is broken down and explained clearly. You will end up doing some of your own internet research for answers but that is all part of the learning process. This course was a great challenge and will be worth it in the long run.
SheCodes Plus was definitely a step up from the Intro course, but Matt was very thorough in each lesson and the SheCodes team is very quick to help out whenever someone has a question. A wonderful tool to get a taste of the coding world!

Man, this was hard. I always knew SheCodes Plus would be harder than the initial workshop but I had no idea how much. However, I also had no idea how fun and interesting it would be! Despite all the challenges, occasional lack of motivation, work getting in the way, LIFE getting in the way, going back to my project and following Matt along was always very comforting. I've definitely learned how to code but I've also very much learned how to be patient (which is not easy for me at all). So if you're thinking about starting to code, if you've tried other workshops and never really followed through, trust me - this is the right one for you. Not only are the videos and the Slack community amazing, team SheCodes is absolutely the best as well. If you need help because your code isn't working, if you need extra extensions because life happens, they're all there for you and ready to help. 10/10 would do again, but instead I'll just move on to React!

After completing the basic workshop I decided to also enroll in the SheCodes Plus Workshop – and I would highly recommend it! It can be challenging at times but the SheCodes-Team gives you wonderful and prompt support regarding any questions. It really helped me further understand the world of coding and I am very proud to have coded a functioning Weather App.

WOW!!Coming from the basic workshop, SheCodes Plus is an accessible introduction to hosting, APIs, and has a perfect balance between 🥵and 🤯. What a ride! Some lessons are challenging; however, Matt and the SheCodes team do an excellent job at breaking down topics and integrating previously learned skills each week. This first contact with the frontend dev world has been challenging but also proved to me that I cannot wait to continue!
SheCodes Plus is an accessible introduction to hosting, APIs, frameworks, and repositories/version control. A few lessons in the course are challenging; however, Matt and the SheCodes team do an excellent job at breaking down topics into appropriately sized lessons and keep reusing/integrating previously learned skills each week. There were a few areas I wanted more in depth explanations as to why certain operators or bits of logic worked better than others, but for a course geared towards all levels of experience I can understand why that isn't a priority.
This was a challenging and exciting workshop at the same time. SheCodes Plus definitely challenged me to test my abilities and helped me learning new "tricks". I wish to highlight that it was a great experience!

I really enjoyed this course. It is a brilliant introduction to coding which is delivered at a pace that you can manage and the videos really help you to understand the content. When you are stuck, you have the resource Slack where you can talk to other students, have your code reviewed and amended if you have any mistakes in it very quickly so you are never left stuck. In my job I create online content and upload it via a CMS every day and I thought it was high time I learnt how a website is actually built. Man but brain hurt after this workshop (SheCodes Plus) but it sure was worth all the headaches. Matt continued to do an amazing job breaking down every lesson and explaining how things needed to be/go that it made following along pretty simple. This one was a tough one (thank goodness for extensions) but I was able to get through this while suffering from horrible morning sickness ❤️
Highly recommended - I've discovered a new world! I love the classes and I like the fact that I can go back and revise what I've just learned is great! SheCodes Plus was really challenging but I can now say I understand what I wrote and I'm looking forward to the next challenge: React.
This is my second SheCodes course and I again loved it! As a working mom, SheCodes gave me the flexibility to work at my own pace while keeping on track with challenges and weekly homework. SheCodes Plus was very challenging since we deepened the coding languages learnt before. The construction of the weather app with APIs showed us the power of programming! During the intensive 8 weeks, I had ups and downs, but mainly overcoming difficult challenges made me proud of myself. Can't wait to start the Responsive course 🙃

I started this class because a colleague helping me with a project said he could eliminate 80% of my steps with a script. I had no idea this was possible and no idea how to do it. So, even though I have no coding experience, I decided to take a few classes. Even though I'm just at the Basics level, I now have a small understanding of what he wrote to make all of that magic happen. I'm ready for SheCodes Plus!
Having completed the SheCodes Basic workshop, I couldn't wait to start SheCodes Plus. I had learned so much in the first 3 weeks that I was excited to expand my knowledge and practical skills and this workshop didn't disappoint. The lessons were clear and easy to follow, with plenty of opportunity to practice and experiment with the skills being taught each week. The support team on slack have been super responsive and friendly too. I'm so proud of being able to go from a complete beginner to using advanced JS to build a functioning weather app in less than 3 months - thank you SheCodes!
SheCodes Plus is as great as the original workshops, just with more content.This part of the series refreshes you on the basic html, css and javascript learned previously, and extends upon it with more complex functionality and layouts (and how bootstrap can help). It also shows you how to use apis, how easy it is to use github and to host your own page. It has great explanations and examples, and you're encouraged to reflect on what you've learned which puts into perspective how far you've come.
Completing SheCodes Plus was such a rewarding experience and I cannot wait to dive into the next course (SC React) to put what I've learned so far into use! The lessons are easy to understand and divided into clear steps for easy implementation of new features and understanding how they work! The SheCodes Responsive course, though it utilizes a lot of the same front-end coding knowledge explained in the SheCodes Plus course, builds upon it and emphasizes creating sites with responsiveness and accessibility in mind from ideation through deployment. In today's world of myriad internet-connected devices and the diversity of users, I found this approach very helpful and important for new tech professionals. My portfolio site is ultimately more polished and my design sensibilities more aware of the audiences I may be reaching.
I have been wanting to learn how to code for a while now but was overwhelmed with all the options for learning. I am so glad I decided to try SheCodes Basics. I have learned so much in the past three weeks and I look forward to starting SheCodes Plus soon to learn even more!

SheCodes Plus was definitely a huge challenge for me. As we dug deeper into JavaScript, there were definitely some moments of hair pulling, worrying and thoughts of giving up, however, something made me come back to it time and time again until I finally reached the end of week 8 and I was extremely proud of myself. The reason I kept coming back was due to Matts clear and encouraging teaching technique. Yes, it is hard and yes, I did consider giving up. Bottom line is, I didn't and I'm glad I kept going. I'm looking forward to the next challenge in SheCodes React...BRING IT ON!
The minute I started SheCodes Basics I was hooked. Writing code from the very beginning and figuring out how everything works has been so much fun. I finished the Basics class in January, then started SheCodes Plus in late March. The format worked really well for me, because I am currently a SAHM, so it was great being able to work around nap-times and in the evenings. Still, the weekly deadlines were also really useful to keep on track, which I think made SheCodes stand out for me. I also greatly appreciate that I was offered a discount, given I am currently not working. Creating this weather app from scratch was challenging at times, but Matt is a great teacher and I really value how much effort went into creating and planning this course. The video tutorials were always spot-on and I also loved learning about workflow and how to best organise your project. Building "Weather with Cheddar" gave me a lot of confidence, when I look back at the wireframe and now at the finished project, I can really see how far I have come. I know there is still heaps to learn and so many more problems to solve, but SheCodes Plus certainly gave me a solid foundation in understanding basic and some more advanced concepts in JavaScript. Thanks to everyone in the team for making this an overwhelmingly positive experience and also thanks to everyone in the Slack-community! I can't wait to start SheCodes React!
Although the SheCodes Plus course and Project were quite challenging, it was really great to see how all the elements were slowly pulled together to create a weather app!
I have no background in coding and I feel that now with SheCodes Basics I have a better understanding on what it is and how to read it, I feel that with the knowledge that I acquired I can easily create some simple newsletters for example. I liked that the learning videos are short and instructive and that almost each lesson has an exercise. Looking forward to start SheCodes Plus 🤩.
SheCodes Plus has been a gratifying experience from beginning to end. The units are very well structured, and the pace and content are very digestible. I would definitely recommend it to anyone getting into code and expanding their knowledge.
With the SheCodes plus course I gained more confidence with JavaScript and the workflow of creating, testing as well as launching an app. I hope to use the skills I have learned to continue towards my goal of becoming a front-end developer.

I started with the free intro class with Matt through SheCodes Basic and SheCodes Plus. Highly recommend following SheCodes Plus with React. React is tough but the course work is broken down well and there is that great community via Slack to connect to when the going gets tough. I really feel like I'll use React forever more now. I've gained confidence at my own pace with SheCodes.

It's been quite a challenge getting here, between school and work, coding has become a hobbie and an activity I like to do. I signed up for SheCodes Plus because I wanted to test my coding skills, and yet learned and enjoy all the programming. :)))
SheCodes Plus took me on an incredible coding journey where I explored a little bit of API, Github, Hosting, and Bootstrap worlds. I am extremely grateful for having been able to experience developer workflow on my own. It equipped me with the tools and knowledge necessary for progression in the IT sector and increased my appetite for learning more and more.

After years of planning to learn how to code I've finally started doing it. And it's all because of SheCodes! I loved the introductory video which explained everything in such a simple way that it gave me a feeling that I can totally do it. And here I am. I've just finished the SheCodes Plus and I feel hungry for more. All the workshop is so well planned, very detailed explanatory videos and the challenges was just the right thing for me to start learning how to code. And I know that I won't stop here.
The SheCodes Basic's Workshop was enjoyable and a great introduction to coding. I already had basic HTML and CSS knowledge but not Javascript. For this reason, I was very scared of this coding language, but I'm very surprised. In my personal opinion, I've learned a lot in this time and now I feel much confident in my abilities. I appreciate how well-organized all of the SheCodes workshops have been, and especially that I can work at my own pace. I feel proud of the things I've been able to create! However, I felt that SheCodes and SheCodes Plus were structured best, since we applied our learning to related (but not exact) challenges. With React, it was more like I would follow along and copy, though I could change the styling as I pleased. Still, I would recommend at least the first two workshops for those who are interested in trying out coding with little background to build upon.
If anyone is curious about coding, I highly recommend Shecodes! I've learnt so much in three weeks its incredible. A big thank you to matt and the Shecodes team for being there every step of the way. Can't wait to start Shecodes plus. 😀

I completed the basics course and loved it so I saved up to do SheCodes Plus and it was definitely worth it. I've learnt alot over the past couple of weeks, the course is really good at building your knowledge and ability bit by bit which made learning alot easier and more enjoyable.
SheCodes was the perfect opportunity for me to enter the world of coding. I've been intrigued by the idea of coding for a while now, but didn't know where to start. I truly enjoyed and learned so much throughout these 8 weeks. The way the course is divided and how task oriented it is, really makes some very challenging concepts feel much less overwhelming and more approachable. Although I think I will forever find JavaScript complicated, SheCodes Plus made me fear it a bit less. Oh and I still love sheCodes Radio!

I was pretty hesitant on dipping my toes into coding despite having interest in it. Then I stumbled across Matt's free Intro To Coding course and felt inspired to jump in. I'm so glad that I did. This course was A LOT of fun and it dissolved all of the preconceived notions I had! The course was easy to follow and help was always one post away. I'm really looking forward to SheCodes Plus. Yay!
