I would highly recommend SheCodes and I'm so happy that I took the leap to dive into the world of coding! I've always found coding very intimidating and hard to get into. However Matt really breaks down and explains each lesson articulately so it's easy to understand. Then doing the challenges really helps solidify that I understood each lesson. I've really enjoyed SheCodes Basics! Can't wait to start the next workshop!

SheCodes is amazing. In just 3 weeks I've felt like I've gotten a good foundation on the basics of HTML, CSS, and JS. I honestly cannot wait to jump into the next level and keep learning. I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!
SheCodes has done a wonderful job at equipping me with the best tools to pursue a career in programming, I have really enjoyed each workshop from beginning to end, could not recommend this programme enough. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and exploring this new stage in my career!

After finishing SheCodes Basic I immediately started with SheCodes Plus. Eager to learn more I completed the course and gain so much valuable knowledge in just a couple of weeks. From Bootstrap to Hosting and working with APIs. It was definitely challenging at times, but so much worth it seeing my weather app come to life. I can only recommend it!

Matt is an engaging instructor, and the lessons are easy to understand and put into practice while remaining on track. There's a number of coding tools for self-service. The customer success team and teaching assistants provide support and encouragement when needed. There's also a global community of students available to help. If you're slightly curious about coding, I highly recommend it!
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Starting out as someone with no experience coding, I appreciated how each element of HTML, CSS, and JS were broken down into small, easily digestible lessons and then being challenged to apply the material immediately to solidify the content. I've wanted to change careers for a long time but have felt stuck and discouraged at the prospect. After seeing ads for SheCodes I decided to take the free class on a whim, thinking what do I have to lose? I never thought coding would be something I could do but I liked the free class so much I signed up for Basics right away. The lessons were easy to follow and the challenges were really fun. I can actually see myself working in the tech field now and I definitely plan on continuing my education through SheCodes. I started working in the hospitality industry years ago while completing my University degree. When I graduated, I wasn't very sure what direction to go so I decided to travel the world instead. 🌎 After working my way up in the hospitality industry while globetrotting, I realized I have a love for software and processes. I decided to take the risk and switch industries! Since then, I feel like I'm finally able to apply my education to something I'm passionate about. It was actually a client of mine that recommended I sign up for SheCodes so with the support of my Manager, I decided to take the leap and start learning how to code. Jumping into the SheCodes Plus workshop after the SheCodes Basics was both challenging and a lot of fun. I was a bit skeptical to start this course. Afraid that it would be too technical and I wouldn't understand much. Turns out it's definitely like what I've read from other testimonials, a great way to understand the basis of coding. I had been putting "Learn to code" on my resolutions for the past two or three years, but I would start and immediately get annoyed when I did not understand something. It always felt like they call it a beginners course but it really wasn't, so I felt defeated most of the time. But, with SheCodes, I felt like the structure of the courses and the way lessons are conveyed is so easy to understand, and the transitions from one topic to the other are so smooth. This was quite life-changing because now, I feel that I get how programming works, and the things that seemed abstract before, now make sense. On top of that, there is round the clock help in case you need it, this is something I haven't found with other online courses either. So absolutely, I recommend this platform.

Hello! I'm an academic librarian and I wanted to take this workshop to brush up on some of my coding skills. I thought the beginner workshop would be a good step in that direction and I was right. I could easily adapt the course around my work schedule and I would recommend this to any of my colleagues.
This course is one of the best for absolute beginners. It is really simple to understand and the challenges are fun! I highly recommend it!

I loved this workshop. I created a weather app from scratch which was awesome. I learned to use a lot of amazing features of javascript and I enjoyed every minute doing so. Totally recommend this one.
Been taking this program alongside another Bootcamp program and trust me, Matt gave me such an easy time all along. As a matter of fact, I used this module's challenges to practice some of the things I could not understand in my Bootcamp. I'd highly recommend this program to anyone. Did I say, anyone? yes! Especially beginners.
I really enjoyed this module of the SheCodes program. It was really fun to start thinking about the ways in which you can make a website you host responsive, rather than just having it remain stagnant and run the risk of it looking less than ideal in the mobile-sphere. Overall, I would recommend it.

Before this course, I was looking to develop new hard skills for my career. I signed up for this course on a whim, never having had ANY prior experience nor exposure to coding. I truly had no idea what to expect. So I told myself "let me just try this and see where it goes". And it was one of the best decisions I've made for my self-development! Matt is an excellent teacher, and he balances just the right amount of teaching & challenging you to find your own answers. At times, I got very frustrated with learning Javascript in particular (it honestly looked like gibberish at first), but like learning any new language, it comes more naturally with time and repetition. This course was very empowering, and has opened up a whole new world for me. I had so much fun! I highly recommend to any women looking to develop new skills for their current career, or women even considering a career change. I am a woman who wears so many hats, and the way the course is structured is perfect for me. The chapters are not overwhelming, and Matt is a very good teacher. Community support is also a big plus as if you're stuck; it doesn't take long to get help. The assignments are very practical applications of the concept discussed in each chapter. I had to extend my classes many times because of different circumstances, and the program was flexible enough to finish the course at my own pace. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn how to code. I am looking forward to my next workshop, SheCodes Plus! 😉

In only 3 weeks I can say that I understand how coding works whilst working a full time job! I love how the lessons were broken down for a total beginner. The sequence of skills and tasks were logical and accessible. I also appreciated the tips on best resources to problem-solve. There is also some flexibility with the deadlines which I definitely needed. All in all, I would highly recommend SheCodes!

The workshop was great. I had a small amount of coding knowledge going into it, but definitely learned way more than I knew and have better clarity on what to focus on next! The videos had plenty of tips and tricks to help guide you along the way, and if I got stuck, a team member or fellow student was quick to answer and take a look at my code for where I was making a mistake! I was very appreciative of this feature as many websites do not have this! Overall, I would recommend! I now look at webpages in a completely new light!

I was scared to NOT understand all those symbols and words coding languages are consisting of, well, not anymore: 10 out of 10 times I would recommend to join SheCodes if your goal is to really learn and start coding by yourself! The workshops are easy to understand and follow, the slack crowd is the most supportive. I am shocked and proud of myself :)

This course was perfect that even a mom with a newborn could handle and an incredible introduction to JavaScript and API that I genuinely enjoyed! I'm currently on maternity leave and wanted to do something for myself during my time away from work while my son napped during the day. This course opened my eyes to the world of coding. As a Product Manager, I cannot recommend more than for all PMs to take SheCodes to better understand what our engineers do on a day-to-day basis for better collaboration and product development.
