This last workshop (React) was a tough one. But when you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot of fun. I would definetly recommend SheCodes, because it gives you a great roadmap to learn pretty advanced techniques. I have learned a lot and had fun while doing it. This was definitely a challenging course but I'm glad I worked through it. There was so much to learn in a short amount of time that really pushed me to my limits. I studied computer science in college about two years ago but eventually dropped the classes because I felt I couldn't understand or keep up with the materials. I must say that the Basic's coding workshop is extremely beginner friendly, efficient, and affordable. Before I almost gave up completely with being able to learn how to code and move forward into tech but now, I have my confidence back! I've learned so much taking the workshop and would HIGHLY recommend! I'll be enrolling into the sheCodes Max workshop soon! Thanks Matt and the entire she codes team!

I have got to admit, starting out was ROUGH, for me. I am completely new to the world of coding and to say I struggled, is an understatement. I wanted to throw in the towel, 2 days in, but i'm so glad I stuck with it. I've learned so much, and i'm actually enjoying myself now. This was my final SheCodes course, and probably the one I enjoyed the most. I had fun learning React and solving problems while working on my two projects. If I were to look back to when I started, I can appreciate how far I got and while my coding journey doesn't end with SheCodes, I'm happy it was a big part of my development into the world of coding. 👩🏻💻 Matt explained the concepts clearly and I would definitely recommend the React course if you already enjoyed vanilla JS.

I can recommend this workshop to everyone! Make sure you take the time to focus on the assignments. Once you know how to work with it, it is really fun and great! I caught myself making adjustments and playing with the final project as you can freestyle and create beautiful pages. You lose track of time enjoying this. All lessons are explained well and are easy to follow.
This is my 2nd SheCodes workshop. I would recommend this workshop if you are looking to advance your basic knowledge of coding and web development. I really enjoyed learning more complex elements of JavaScript that I didn't know before. I must admit that I felt a bit of disappointment at the very last lesson. Throughout the entire workshop, I was expecting to learn how to add code to convert the weekly forecast for our weather projects into Fahrenheit & Celsius. Instead, the last lesson has us removing the unit conversions entirely from the web page & saying that it is too complex to do for this workshop. I would have really liked to see how to do this. Despite that, I am proud of the web page I built and found this to be another great workshop!
SheCodes has been an amazing experience. I was a little hesitant at first, as I learnt to code in a statistical software during my masters, but I unfortunately did not enjoy the experience. Nonetheless SheCodes has been an amazing experience. The lessons are very interactive and Matt does an amazing job of breaking down the concepts related to HTML, CSS and Java Script. I loved the fact that staff & students were readily available to support with any questions that I may have regarding my code or certain topics. I have throughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone who is interested in learning about the field of coding.

This part of the workshop was much more challenging and some lessons were even difficult to grasp but it was very well explained, I only had to watch the lesson again and practice to get the handle of it. Highly recommend this workshop to everyone! I find React more interesting and fun as I learn through the lessons. I've gained more knowledge about how React works with the advanced features. The workshop are definitely challenging sometimes but with all the resources and help that you can get from online and Slack, I find it very rewarding when I was able to figure out the codes and debug the errors.

I haven't played around with HTML or CSS since making MySpace skins as a teenager. This course was a great refresher to dust off those skills. And I learned a brand new skill with the introduction to Javascript. The lessons were short and straightforward so the time commitment was very reasonable while working fulltime. The challenges for each section helped you build off of each previous lesson, showing how HTML, CSS and Javascript can be used in conjunction. Highly recommend for beginners and those who need a refresher!

Started with SheCodes Basic and then took SheCodes Plus. SheCodes Plus was a huge step from the Basics and found myself frustrated at times, but the support from the SheCodes Team was always there. I learned so much from this course and would definitely recommend it. I look forward to practicing what I learned but I am so incredibly proud of what I achieved.
What I particularly like about the course is 'step-by-step' approach to teaching and mentoring. The course is split into lessons, each comes with amount of information just right to understand and use. A lot of scaffolding and support from the team really help to make new complex ideas easy to comprehend. Every new thing I was learning I put into practice right away while working on the course project. By the end of the course, I had created a working web app and it was even a little sad to finish the project and the course but I also have a great feeling of accomplishment. I would definitely recommend this course 😊✨

SheCodes Basics was a comforting introduction into the "intimidating" world of coding. I had ZERO prior experience with coding and a lot of programs do not start you off from absolute scratch. This is what made SheCodes a great experience for me because it starts you off from a level of zero experience so you don't miss any foundational knowledge.
