I recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on a coding journey with SheCodes, and I can't express just how transformative and enriching this experience has been. Learning with SheCodes has been an absolute game-changer, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to dive into the world of coding. From the very beginning, SheCodes creates a welcoming and inclusive environment, making it accessible to individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels. SheCodes was a good workshop for me as I have already learned how to code in school but never really understood why to use a certain element or how to use JavaScript functions. Even after delaying for months finishing up the lessons and projects, I have recently found myself going through everything fast as the lessons are very straightforward and fun, it has given me the motivation to get into coding again after a long burnout, therefore I do recommend it to anyone who has an interest or has been having difficulties on learning how to code.

Before I started the SheCodes workshop, I was looking for a task in which I could immerse myself and get into the flow. And I know that I have definitely found that in coding now. i have been wanting to do something different that can allow me to have the privilege of working at home when i had to, as a single mum.but most important is that i had always had interest in coding but did not know how to go about it, but then saw the recommendation about Shecodes. After a while joined the course and i have no single regret, glad i joined.
I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.

Learning to code with SheCodes was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I am so thankful to SheCodes, because it helped me uncover a genuine passion that I would have not discovered otherwise. Seeing the progress that I've made so far is really rewarding, and I am eager to continue improving my skills and knowledge with SheCodes! I highly recommend these workshops to anyone who's even a little curious about them.
I highly recommend this workshop to hone in on your skills in creating a responsive website using HTML and CSS, without the help of libraries, ie., Bootstrap, Bulma, etc.
This workshop increased my level of thinking as it relates to coding and it pushed me to do my best. There were challenges but I overcame them. I couldn't have done it without Matt and his team. Matt is an awesome teacher and the team on slack is just as good as they answered all my questions in a timely manner whenever I was unsure about something. SheCodes Plus is definitely worth it and I would 100% recommend it. It was fun! I am looking forward to what the future brings 😀
Taking this course was a truly amazing experience. Throughout the lessons, I found myself recalling many things I had studied a long time ago. I learned not only new concepts but also the importance of perseverance and effort in the learning process. Each day was an opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge that I'm confident will be of great value in my personal and professional life. I'm grateful with SheCodes Foundation for the opportunity to have participated in this course and excited to continue applying what I've learned on my journey towards growth and success.
