During the pandemic, I thought about a change of career and decided to give it a go at coding. Obviously, it's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy online. This program was exactly what I was searching for to kick start my new carrier. The workshop is fantastic and very well structured also provides good examples. In just 3 weeks I have learned so much. I would highly recommend SheCodes, there is a great team ready to help if you get stuck with a challenge. I can not wait to start the advanced course soon.

I was rally surprise to learn such complicate tasks in such easy way of explanation.Some of them I had study additionally in other resources but the basic concept of Matt teaches is understandable.I don't know if I would ever undertaken to do it ,but it's quite exciting and funny work with elements of creativity and fantasy.I recommend for beginners or complete dummies to take his course (even for men🤦♂️).Further I would like to improve my knowledge and practical experience in coding. I didn't think I would enjoy coding to be honest. However, I surprised myself by truly having fun with it. Matt made it simple and easy to follow steps. He was clear in all his explanation and he truly sounds like he enjoys teaching it. I would recommend this intro course to anyone interested in a glimpse of coding.
The three-week SheCodes workshop has been fun, easily accessible, and comprehensible. I have really enjoyed learning how to code, and would recommend this course to anyone looking for an introduction to coding.
The 3-week workshop was an amazing opportunity to learn the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Now I do understand the principles of these three languages. I did not know that coding actually is about creativity. The real fun is in trying and experimenting.The biggest advantage in coding for me is that I can see the actual result of my work. I honestly really enjoyed this work shop and I learned a lot. The lessons are so easy to follow and I never felt like I didn't have enough time to learn everything for that week. I would recommend to my friends. Also I loved the radio station. I plan on going further and taking the "Plus React" classes next 😊🤍

I really enjoyed this fast-paced 3 week course! Matt was super easy to understand and made concepts relatable in layman's terms. Although the homework for each week started out simple, it built up to challenging aspects which was great for learning. Would recommend this to anyone who needs accountability to learn.

I've always been intrigued by coding but it always seemed so "big and scary". I work in Marketing and was seeing more and more employers requiring HTML, CSS, and Javascript knowledge, and I didn't really know where to start. This being said, I'm so glad that I stumbled upon SheCodes. Matt is very relatable, and makes coding a lot less intimidating. The lessons - although sometimes challenging - are easy to understand, and I was always able to get help whenever I needed it via Slack. Thank you so much to João for always helping me when I get stuck and providing really detailed answers to my questions, as well Daniela for always checking up to make sure my experience is great! Overall, I really enjoyed this course and I recommend it to anyone who wants to dip their toes in the coding world!

I'm really glad i took the time to check-out the free workshop because it made me feel that more comfortable with enrolling in a beginners 3 week course with Matt, founder of SheCodes and awesome teacher. The information provided is explained thoroughly and all the necessary tools are provided. The lessons and challenges were so engaging they kept me hooked to my laptop for hours. The beauty of participating online though, is having the flexibility to study whenever i had the time. There is always someone available to help or advise. I learned loads, I still cannot believe I have created a fully functional app all by myself!!! I was worried the online course would not be sufficient or lack support, but I am pleased to confirm this was not at all the case. Coming into the workshop I had no prior experience at all, but Matt made it easy to understand each lesson. Working full-time, it is hard to find courses that fit your schedule but SheCodes is different, you can watch the videos on your own time. Would definitely recommend it!
Can't believe I did it! I am so bad with logical and maths stuff from my childhood and I would never thought I could understand coding. Nothing is impossible, and actually it doesn't ask for same skills than scientist stuff. Matt's courses are really clear and I loved doing exercices step by step to understand all the pictures. I am a computer science student and I join the SheCodes community over the summer because I wanted to learn front-end programming. I lacked confidence even knowing back-end, but taking these workshops gave me so much confidence programming in front and back development. I would recommend these classes to anyone at any programming level you may be at. Awesome community, instructors, and content.

Hello, everyone! I am Elizabeth Romo and I wanted to share my experience with completing the SheCodes Workshop, it has been a learning experience. I honestly did not know anything about coding, but I was ready to learn and dive into this new coding world. It truly has been amazing I have learned so much in just three weeks. I like to look at coding like architecture, which is what I majored in. It starts off with the foundation and then the floors, walls and all the materials and components that go into a building, just as similar in coding there is the body, the head and the three languages (CSS, HTML and JavaScript). The coding world is so similar and different, but unique in its own way. Seeing a page come together gives me a great satisfaction. Knowing that I made it and that I could accomplish anything. So, go out there and start your own coding experience. I truly recommend it to everyone.

I had some periods of frustration, more than I had expected with this project. This program is not for beginners. I should have invested more time reviewing tutorials online for JavaScript and CSS. There are free ones on the MDN website that aren't instructor led like Matt's program. I would not recommend them to learn from start to finish, but they are a way to test what you know and find solutions to what you don't know. My recommendation to anyone taking the SheCodes Plus program is to make sure you are comfortable with Javascript before moving into this more advanced workshop. I am looking forward to SheCodes Plus React, which I have already paid for but I need to work on my JavaScript skills a little further before venturing into the more advanced workshop. Although I am taking a little break, for now, I will still be studying and working on JavaScript so that in the next month or two I will be ready to take on the challenge of SheCodes Plus React.
For someone with zero knowledge in coding, I highly recommend this workshop. The instructor is very knowledgeable and tries to explain the topics as simple as possible. It makes me happy every time I am able to solve the challenges on my own. :)

SheCodes is a great platform to learn how to code! I started the workshop with zero background in coding, but the whole crew did a great job of making the lessons (and coding in general) fun and easy. It is impressive how structured and systematic the lessons were. There was a lot of room to challenge what was already taught, but at the same time, solve what was encountered the first time. I enjoyed every bit of my three-week workshop and I definitely recommend SheCodes to every woman who wants to learn something new and useful. 👩💻
The SheCodes Plus course has no doubt been challenging, however building on the skills I learned in the SheCodes Workshop to make a functioning weather site is an incredible feeling. The team on Slack are very helpful, and SheCodes have been very accomodating to me as I started a job half way through the programme! Would recommend this course to anyone who wishes to stretch their brain, whilst being able to build a project from scratch.
SheCodes plus was a great experience! I loved putting my basic HTML skills to the test and improving on those skills. Working full time and then coming home to be a full time mom, SheCodes let me learn at my own pace. The videos are easy to follow and Matt explains everything in a way that writing, reading, and understanding code is almost second nature now. For anyone looking to expand on their currently knowledge or picking up so new mad skills, I would 1000% recommend SheCodes! I can't wait to start my next course!

Matt Delac's SheCodes program has been an amazing tool to help me learn the basics of CSS & JS, along with a refresher of basic HTML. His step by step instructions are easy to follow, and the challenges alongside each self-paced lesson & the weekly homework are incredibly helpful in reinforcing what you learned each week. I definitely felt a sense of accomplishment and joy after my final project! I highly recommend this beginner course series for anyone who is curious about the world of coding.

Never in a million years did I think that I would enjoy coding so much! Matt and the team made everything so easy to understand and help was always on hand over on Slack if ever I got into a jam. The challenges were so much fun and I loved creating my own page from scratch for the final project. As a graphic designer I am always asked by clients if I can create web pages and I am so happy that I can finally add coding to my skill set. I highly recommend SheCodes workshops! I've been wanting to learn how to code for years, but had trouble finding the time. I was able to complete this workshop during weekends, and the material is challenging but Matt is able to breakdown complicated topics for beginners to understand. When I was feeling pretty stuck on a couple of homework problems, SheCodes staff was quick to respond and assisted me over Slack. Now that I've completed SheCodes Plus and React, I feel more confident, knowledgeable, and look forward to learning more!
