I would Highly recommend this workshop! I wanted to know the basics of programming and now I feel that not only I learned the basics but I could actually apply them in a project that I am proud of. I will continue my learning with the other courses! Being a liberal arts major, who has zero background in anything tech, this 3 week course gave me an opportunity to discover a skill I never thought of gaining. I enjoyed how beginners friendly this course was. The fact that that it was only 3 weeks long, it was easy for me to commit. I enjoyed how each lesson had a challenge and homework which made me feel productive and wanting more. I appreciate how thoughtful Matt was when creating this course as it allowed me to feel less intimidated of tech especially coding. I recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to step out of their comfort zone!

I wouldn’t recommend the workshop to people who already been through computer science class especially React. On the other hand I highly recommend this workshop for people who want to learn React or take their first steps into programming / development. I had fun during this workshop, it was nice to challenge myself and to try new things, as well as to improve my knowledge. The team is always ready to support you, even with problems that I had created myself by creating the project differently than requested, because I wanted to challenge myself a bit more. Thanks to you all, it was a fun time.
I would certainly recommend SheCodes. After having been interested in programming for a while, I followed a course but I got stuck on JavaScript. I didn't want to give up so I decided to give it one last try. Thanks to SheCodes, I now 'understand' JavaScript: I can see the logic behind it. The explanations are very good and you can practice everything immediately by doing the tests. All in all, I really liked this course.
This workshop really helps me to understand more about coding. From now on I could have easier communication with my peers in development and therefore understand them better. It is really rewarding to create a page from scratch. I am strongly recommended at least the first workshop, very accessible, easy and interactive.
I started to first workshop out of curiosity and I never thought I would find a new path in my life, today I know I have a new skill in something that for sure is the future. I love the practical way of learning and I totally recommend it. I cant wait to start the React workshop.

I'm very glad I took the entire SheCodes series. I strengthened the skills I already had and I've still learned so much, even though I have taken a few intro coding bootcamps. Honestly, React doesn't seem nearly as intimidating now as before I began the React workshop. In general, there are are quite a few things I'd already run across before while learning JavaScript but I didn't fully grasp them until I took these workshops. Matt walks you through the lessons in a very approachable way and the slack community definitely keeps you from feeling like you are on your own to figure things out. I highly recommend this series to anyone wanting to learn JavaScript and React.

The different challenges and the knowledge taught throughout the course is really practical and there is a gradual build-up to the final project. Man... what a wonderful journey! Learning with Matt and his team was the best choice and investment of my time and efforts in 2020. I am very grateful for all that I have learned and truly recommend SheCodes to any woman in search of a change, new skills or an entrance in the world of web development. I started with the 3 weeks SheCodes workshop as a complete beginner in any area related to IT and tech. Matt's explanations and the lesson structure are very valuable and easy to understand and most importantly, guided step by step. Highly recommend this React course. As with the previous courses Matt delivers easy to follow, comprehensive lessons and challenges that gradually help you build an understanding of React. I personally found Javascript vanilla difficult to use and implement. However I found React much easier and simple to work with.

I completed the introductory course and loved it! It definitely sparked my interest in coding, so I decided I would continue with the plus course. I can honestly say this was the hardest challenge I have even done. At times I got discouraged, but I kept at it and in the end I triumphed. Matt did an amazing job explaining all of the information. I took the three week SheCodes Workshop. I absolutely would recommend it to anyone who had little to no experience with coding, and also needed scheduling flexibility. Over the course of those three weeks I learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, and used Visual Studio Code. Each lesson was short in length, less than 10 minutes on average, and easily digestible. I really liked that I was able to move at my own pace while still having enough time throughout the week to meet our weekly deadline for assignments. There are several people available to help you with any errors in your code, and to answer any questions you may have about a lesson or concept. You cant beat it.
