It is so cool how much you can learn in just 6 weeks. Starting from a rough scribble to getting to an actually functioning online application and being able to read API descriptions. I can highly recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop for anyone who is looking for a practical guide to start her coding journey.

I didn't think I was wired to be able to understand or write code but this workshop proved me wrong! The lessons are broken up in a way that's really easy to understand, and there's ample opportunity to practice what you learn. Little has been said about how gratifying it is to fix a coding bug or when you get a function to do what you want it to. I had a lot of fun in this Intro to Coding workshop and would definitely recommend it to others!

I've always enjoyed coding! I find it very creative and it's just fascinating how much you can achieve with very minimal software or tools. I was introduced to it years ago at school. I remember that I really liked it but have since forgotten a lot. When I saw SheCodes advert I knew straight away that it was a great opportunity to get back into it. The course is affordable, well structured and very engaging. I really enjoyed communicating with other women on chat. All of the questions get answered promptly and the admin staff are very helpful. The course has not only covered all the basics that I've forgotten. It has also given me some great tools I didn't know were out there as well as clarified some of the aspects I didn't fully understand when I first came across coding. I would very much recommend SheCodes :).

I really enjoyed my three-week course at SheCodes. I started the course because I wanted to know if coding could be something I enjoyed, and to learn something new. I have found the methodology of the course particularly good to learn. The structure between informative videos and challenges to be completed peak your interest and help you learn at an adequate pace. I also feel the content of the 3-week course was adequate for complete beginners to immerse themselves into coding, but at a level that anyone dedicating a bit of time could follow. I would definitely recommend SheCodes for people that want to start their coding journey.

I believe this program is a wonderful initiative in bridging the gender gap in programming, and would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to gain experience in this field.
I recommend this workshop for two reasons. Matt knows what he's talking about! He's gives us lots of tools and resources that I would not know about if I did not take the course. João is truly a miracle worker. He has helped me every step of the way and I honestly think I learned the most from him. As a total noob, seeing how he would fix my code and how he would make things function is both educating and inspiring.

Although I already had experience with HTML and CSS, the workshop explained to me the theory behind the code that was used, which up until now I only did it mechanically, without fully understanding the reasons behind using it. I was really scared about learning JavaScript, since it was the first time I worked with it. Having challenges after almost every lesson, was also a great way to retain the knowledge. I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone and I'll probably come back and enroll in other course to improve and increase my coding skills.

I didn't have any coding experience and to be honest I thought coding wasn't very interesting. That all changed when a friend of mine recommended this workshop and I decided to give it a chance. I must say that it was worth it!! I liked it so much more than I thought I would and the structure of the workshop is really well done for beginners. In the future, I hope I can learn more about Coding, as it is very useful nowadays, and this workshop gave me the basis for that.

I liked Matt's instructions and the challenges associated with each lesson. His tone, the tips, the support from the team are really on point. I like the fact that all the way through we have to come up with solutions on our own. My only constructive comment would be that sometimes the lessons did not necessarily guide us in the right direction, which can lead to wasting time looking for the right thing to do or searching for the necessary information. Overall, I loved the presentation of the content and the energy of the team and I 100% recommend signing up!

The SheCodes introduction course provides you with a good introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The lessons are easy to follow and at the end of every lesson, a challenge awaits you. In order to finish the course, you are required to create your own website. I can highly recommend this course if you want to gain your first coding experiences. I loved the course! I want to take another! I was very impressed with this course because I don't like to take courses on the internet, and I saw the ad, it caught my attention and I signed up, but I didn't know what to expect. I started the three week course, and I was always very attentive with the videos and exercises and Matt explains them very well step by step so you don't get lost and he can take the course with ease. The platform that handles "slack" helped me a lot when I didn't understand something, I put it there and they solved it for me. The course is highly recommended.
This intro level course was very approachable and straight-forward. I learned much more quickly than I expected, and am energized to do more! This is a solid course that covers the basics of coding in an easy, comprehendible way for beginners such such as myself. I learned a lot not only from Matt, but from previous students through the platform Slack; having a place to communicate with others and ask questions while going through the course lessons was super helpful and informative.
