Due to the pandemic, I lost my job and I decided that it was time for me to do a job for me. I spoke with a friend about her job, as a Front End Web Developer. Shortly thereafter, I stumbled across an ad for SheCodes. I loved the message that was being expressed. I signed up and have loved the challenge. I have always been an individual who gets bored easily with jobs that don't challenge me. I have loved this experience thus far. I started with the introduction workshop and continued with Plus. While I highly recommend the introductory workshop to get an overview of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I was a bit disappointed with the follow-up course and wished to go more in-depth into the topics. Nonetheless, it's a great concept with great support throughout the course.
Challenging, rewarding and a fun experience! The small challenges help you test your knowledge and practice what you've learnt. Matt is a great teacher and keeps you motivated throughout the whole course. I love the workshop's flexibility, which allows you to manage your time and organise your learning in a way that suits you. It provides you with the basics of front-end development. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is curious about the world of coding and/or is starting out!

I decided to take part in SheCodes because I wanted a platform that really empowers women to take charge in their adventures of learning how to code. I found the lessons very informative and helpful. I think there was a fine line between helpful and challenging. It was challenging enough that I had to do research to explore the topics and really have fun with the different languages. I highly recommend this program for anyone on a budget and wants a more intensive experience.

I'm basically with accounting background and eventually moved into testing line. So, I was very keen to join this workshop but at the same time was concerned to know if I can follow the coding language or not! Surprisingly, this workshop gave me a new confidence! I was so motivated to work on each challenges everyday on my own time. The support given during the workshop is great! I started to feel connected with apex app development work now. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is interested know/learn on how the coding works! If I can do it having little kid and full-time job anyone can do it.Cheers 😊

So far, i've learn so much within the past three weeks!!! I have never thought I would be able to learn another skill in my late 20's and especially something like this! There's a lot of info crammed into a short amount of time but it's done in a manageable way so that my brain didn't hurt too bad! It's pretty cool how I was able to amalgamate all the lessons into a final project. I have even able to make the final project related to my work as an elementary teacher. The support when I needed it was excellent but I do strongly recommend researching bugs and questions on your own because lots of additional learning happens this way! I spent way more than 5 hours per week but maybe this is because I nerd-ed out more than necessary? As with any new learning, would have to keep up the practice in order to maintain all this new knowledge. Definitely recommend!

Build a weather app from scratch which I'm very proud of. Cost me a lot of hours, sweat and tears but i succeeded. Implemented different Icons and colors to make it more fun. I'm really happy now with the result. Highly recommend this workshop for anybody who is interested in coding. It's hard work and very frustrating at times but total worth it. Can't wait for the next workshop to begin.
I have loved every part of the SheCodes workshops. I have now started an access course on computer science and so can go to university in 2022. I would never have been confident enough to do this without SheCodes! Highly recommend

Coding is something I have wanted to learn for some time so I did quite a bit of research online, but I kept coming back to SheCodes, so I booked myself onto the free 1 hour session one evening. I was completely engrossed and couldn't wait to start learning properly. I was really drawn to SheCodes as everything is broken down into bite-sized sections, and as a complete newbie, this really stood out to me. I love the fact there are lots of shorter exercises to complete after most of the lessons with a longer homework piece at the end of the week. Being quite a practical learner, this is by far the best way to help me understand. Love how there is a community on Slack, where everyone can help out, as well as the experts if you get really stuck. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants a taster of how websites work; but be prepared, you may good hooked!
Signing up for the SheCodes Plus workshop is probably the best decision I've made this year. After a free lesson with Matt, I knew I had to try it. The first workshops were wonderful. I immediately got into it. But SheCodes Plus made me feel really confident with my skills and I developed amazingly. Creating a weather app was very difficult at times, but I had so much fun doing it! I would recommend them to anyone, especially one who claims that coding is not for her. You never know!
