SheCodes Basic is a really good starting point for those who want to learn to code. The lessons are divided into short and digestible topics that will allow you to build your coding foundation. Matt and the team does a good job of explaining concepts to those who don't have a strong coding background. I highly recommend this workshop!
I was struggling to learn code on my own, and I found this program after reading an article from another SheCodes graduate. I was surprised by how easy it was to understand after watching Matt go through the explanations a few times. I am so happy that I signed up for SheCodes, and I would recommend the courses to any other beginner coders out there to give it a shot.
Great workshop. I really enjoyed it. I learnt a lot and I reached one of my 2021 goals. I wanted to build a responsive portfolio website and with this workshop, I reached that goal. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn how to make a responsive website.

I'd recommend SheCodes Basics if you want to see if coding is for you. I knew nothing about coding and learned a lot in a short amount of time! The cheatsheets with every lesson were a helpful reference tool. Matt is an upbeat and enjoyable instructor.

Would definitely recommend anyone to continue with the courses after finishing "Basic". This workshop offered a lot more depth. To be honest, it was far from easy getting to the finish line of this workshop. But we did it thanks to the well structured workshop, great teaching from Matt and help offered via Slack.
I highly recommend taking workshops through SheCodes. I took the basics not knowing anything and am now able to build a webpage from scratch. I'll definitely continue to take workshops from them in near future to expand my knowledge on coding.

I absolutely loved this introduction course! It was the perfect balance of challenging and encouraging, with the lessons very clear to understand and the challenges and homework pushing you to use your initiative and test things out. Would definitely recommend if you're at all interested in coding; so much fun and so satisfying to learn a new skill. Hopefully I can carry on coding now!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this course as it has added depth to my coding skills. It was easy to understand and follow, just like the SheCodes Courses I have take before and it was fun to complete the challenges. The final project in particular allows you to get creative if you want to. I would recommend the Responsive Workshop to any SheCoded Plus graduates, because it teaches you a variety of methods to improve your code and your website especially if you would like to make them mobile-friendly, which is basically a must nowadays!

I would always recommend the SheCodes workshops. Even if I'm not an English native speaker or had any previous knowledge in coding, the lessons were understandable and easy to follow. The instructor Matt does a really good job! And if you need further support with your code, the slack community is awesome and helps you out.
I have really enjoyed SheCodes Basic, and I am looking forward to powering on into SheCodes Plus! The videos are short and sweet, the content is very concise and Matt explains these abstract concepts in a way that is understandable and easy to grasp. I'm not going to pretend it was easy, I'm not going to pretend there weren't times that my laptop nearly went out of the window, but have faith because eventually this will all click with time and practise. The most beneficial part of this course for me was weeks 7 and 8 where we could code along with the videos to build the final project (I highly recommended doing this step by step with the videos rather than trying to do it all at the end). When I was working on the early stages of this course I never expected that the Javascript would be the part I look forward to doing the most, but it really is witchcraft and Matt is so right, it makes me feel SO powerful.

Out of the three SheCodes workshops I have completed, I can safely say that the SheCodes React course was the most challenging and rewarding. The two projects were not easy but with Matt's clear and concise explanations and Joao's assistance, I feel like I now have a solid grasp of React. This workshop has given me a new lease on coding and I am excited to continue my coding journey in React. I am proud of how much I have learnt in such a small amount of time. However, the most valuable skills that this experience has provided me is 1) Believe in yourself 2) Google, google, google! Thanks for all the nice lessons Matt. A lot of times it was quiet hard and I had to take a break, but I never felt like giving up. Eventually I got through and even really enjoyed the lessons. I've been working with IT students, who are currently developing the MVP for my startup idea. And, it bothered me that I was so reliant on them to make small adjustments on our webpage. Such as; correcting spelling errors, or making certain words bold. I also thought it was poor use of valuable resource for these software developers to spend time on these minor tasks. So, I wanted to learn basic coding, so that I could contribute on the technical side of the business. This course has demystified coding for me, and I have truly enjoyed working on the final project. I'm so proud of myself for having learnt something new, and 100% would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in getting started with software development.

SheCodes was great because the videos are very clear and self explanatory. I could understand and while watching to the videos, I was working on my codes and practicing what I was learning in class. I took it at my own pace and I recommend it for someone like me, who works full time and has a non stop toddler at home.

I have avoided coding for years as I thought it meant you had to be good at maths (which I certainly am not!) but after watching the free introductory course, I was hooked! Matt is fantastic - he explains everything clearly and the videos are only 5-15 minutes so they are the perfect length. I have really enjoyed the challenges, it's great that you get the opportunity to put theory into practice at each step. I would 100% recommend this workshop to fellow beginner coders!

I truly recommend the course! Really think that its structure and set of information that you go through are amazing! Also, despite a full-time job and other responsibilities, I managed to fit the lessons, the individual challenges after them, and the weekly homework, so the self-paced aspect is a really big advantage! This has been by far one of the most challenging, but rewarding courses I have taken so far! I would definitely recommend this, as it is an indicative example of how much you can learn by dealing with coding. It's not always going to seem simple, but it's astonishing how much this perception can change, once you start understanding how many things you can do by familiarizing yourself with the possible solution for each challenge!

To start learning about coding was a personal (and professional) challenge. During these 8 weeks I actually had fund and learned a lot doing so.
