This new workshop with SheCodes was amazing!!! The more you learn, the more you want to know about coding. Being able to transform your own websites with dynamic interactions and live data was so much fun 😊 Can't wait to learn more about responsive web design and React!
I really enjoyed this workshop as much as I did the first one! It was a little bit hard to keep up with the schedule throughout this workshop as I just started my first full-time job last April but I'm so proud that I've managed to finish my project 😊 Matt did a great job teaching new skills and keeping me motivated to learn in every lesson. Can't wait to start the React Workshop already!
I absolutely loved the React course! Filled with knowledge, useful tricks and interesting challenges. It's not the easiest one but it's totally worth it. I found myself prolonging uploading the final project simply because I didn't want it to end :)
Completing SheCodes Plus was such a rewarding experience and I cannot wait to dive into the next course (SC React) to put what I've learned so far into use! The lessons are easy to understand and divided into clear steps for easy implementation of new features and understanding how they work! SheCodes Plus was definitely a huge challenge for me. As we dug deeper into JavaScript, there were definitely some moments of hair pulling, worrying and thoughts of giving up, however, something made me come back to it time and time again until I finally reached the end of week 8 and I was extremely proud of myself. The reason I kept coming back was due to Matts clear and encouraging teaching technique. Yes, it is hard and yes, I did consider giving up. Bottom line is, I didn't and I'm glad I kept going. I'm looking forward to the next challenge in SheCodes React...BRING IT ON!
The minute I started SheCodes Basics I was hooked. Writing code from the very beginning and figuring out how everything works has been so much fun. I finished the Basics class in January, then started SheCodes Plus in late March. The format worked really well for me, because I am currently a SAHM, so it was great being able to work around nap-times and in the evenings. Still, the weekly deadlines were also really useful to keep on track, which I think made SheCodes stand out for me. I also greatly appreciate that I was offered a discount, given I am currently not working. Creating this weather app from scratch was challenging at times, but Matt is a great teacher and I really value how much effort went into creating and planning this course. The video tutorials were always spot-on and I also loved learning about workflow and how to best organise your project. Building "Weather with Cheddar" gave me a lot of confidence, when I look back at the wireframe and now at the finished project, I can really see how far I have come. I know there is still heaps to learn and so many more problems to solve, but SheCodes Plus certainly gave me a solid foundation in understanding basic and some more advanced concepts in JavaScript. Thanks to everyone in the team for making this an overwhelmingly positive experience and also thanks to everyone in the Slack-community! I can't wait to start SheCodes React!
Great workshops overall! I get fundamentals insights in React development. After this workshops I feel confident to build other React applications. Matt teaches me how to build a concept to deploy the app online. Also I have to mention it was a great support concept using Slack.

SheCodes was a very intense but amazing experience. I never thought that learning coding would be this fun and that I could do such complex things as coding with React! I'm sure this will be a plus in my future career.
"ME TO MYSELF" learn to code! never hoo nice advertising; hoo nice 60 min intro; hoo nice 3 weeks basics; and now - hoo nice 8 weeks of "PLUS" Plus -> knowledge; Plus -> fun; Plus -> Challenge; I have Challenged myself to dive into too it. I did it with a full-time job/evening school/house renovation and ZERO knowledge - Took me a few weeks more than announced (broken computer ;-) -> not because of coding) but I did it, and now I'm proud. Although there's still so much to learn, I've already gained skills in HTLM, CSS, JAVA Script; I know what a VS code Editor and API are, I met Bootstrap, Github, and Netlify, and now I'm taking a "Rendez-Vous" with REACT.
I would never in a million years imagine that one day I would be building an application using React while integrating an API. This is crazy! I have to thank Matt and SheCodes team for this great achievement. When I enrolled at SheCodes I had a rough idea of how the workshops would work. Now I can confidently say: they work, they are great and I am so happy that I took the decision to learn how to code. Thank you, Matt and SheCodes team!
Wow! That was a challenging but very informative course! I really enjoyed it and can't wait to continue my coding with SheCodes React. The SheCodes React Workshop was a lot more challenging than SheCodes Plus, yet very engaging and Matt explains every step in a great way. The Slack Community also helped me a lot when I got stuck, which happened many times and provided great learning opportunities in every instance. SheCodes Plus was an incredible roller-coaster ride, with ups and downs and full of excitement. I started with the free intro class with Matt through SheCodes Basic and SheCodes Plus. Highly recommend following SheCodes Plus with React. React is tough but the course work is broken down well and there is that great community via Slack to connect to when the going gets tough. I really feel like I'll use React forever more now. I've gained confidence at my own pace with SheCodes.
I really enjoyed learning React with SheCodes. Everything was explained in detail and Matt was a great instructor as always. I think this is a great way to learn the basics of this framework and all the really hard stuff about setting it up and how it differs from Vanilla JS. I am looking at changing careers and always wanted to try coding. (I'm good with languages) :-). It was my first coding experience and I think tones more to learn. I just feel like I touched the surface. Great thing about the course, it is a hands on experience. I am pretty sure I want to continue with Javascript which is more challenging than HTML or CSS. I got frustrated on many occasions but in the end you can rely on Matt's solutions and tech support. I'm looking forward to React.

I enjoyed learning react with this course
It was super intrigued and fun to work on two React projects in this course. Transforming all the ideas I had in the Plain JS version of the weather application to React was quite a headache for me, but at the same time really worth it. Special thanks to Joao for his support to get me out of React exhaustive loops. Also I find the what-to-do-next after SheCodes courses sent by SheCodes team very helpful. It's actually introduced me to Udacity courses to deepen my knowledge further in React.
SheCodes React was challenging. But putting in the hours paid off--I learned a lot for sure! This is definitely worth it for anyone looking to master the basics of React.
Wow! What a journey it has been learning to code with SheCodes. From the workshop to Plus and now React, I have learnt so much and created things I never thought I'd be capable of. I have found a love for coding and can't wait to continue my journey in this field!

I loved this course! After the free class and the 3 weeks workshop, I was hooked on coding and decided to go for the 8 weeks workshop. Working on the weather project was definitely challenging and a bit frustrating sometimes but then when everything came all together it was really satisfying! I'm taking all of the knowledge I've gotten from this course and I'm going to be going back through my previous projects from Plus and React and retooling them with the info I've gained through this workshop. As always, Matt explains things in a way that it's easy to understand and implement. If there are ever other SheCodes workshops in the future, I will definitely be taking those too.
I appreciate how well-organized all of the SheCodes workshops have been, and especially that I can work at my own pace. I feel proud of the things I've been able to create! However, I felt that SheCodes and SheCodes Plus were structured best, since we applied our learning to related (but not exact) challenges. With React, it was more like I would follow along and copy, though I could change the styling as I pleased. Still, I would recommend at least the first two workshops for those who are interested in trying out coding with little background to build upon.
Such an amazing journey it's been for me, from learning the fundamentals of Web Dev, to Vanilla JS and now React. After so many frustrating and expensive online tutorials and courses, SheCodes was a breath of fresh air for someone with no coding background like me. Matt is a fantastic teacher, he really knows his stuff! Every workshop is well designed and a lot of thought was put into these. Concepts are conveyed with examples and described in a simple and easy fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The lessons are super easy to follow, and homework and projects are great to put everything into practice by yourself. Couldn't recommend more!
SheCodes Responsive was super informative! I loved learning more about Bootstrap, how to use Flexbox, and ways to make my sites responsive and SEO friendly. It's encouraged me to revisit previous projects and make updates that reflect what I've just learned. Looking forward to starting SheCodes React!
SheCodes React workshop has been intense and super fun. I surely want to learn more about JavaScript and React, but now I have same solid base to continue my journey into coding.
React has been more challenging than the previous workshops but still very fun and enriching. It is unbelievable that just through 3 courses I was able to code 2 amazing react applications (dictionary and weather app). I definitely highly recommend it to anyone who hesitates. Even though I have full-time study and two part-time jobs I was excited for every class and every homework that Matt gave us. What more, my new employer was impressed by my coding skilled and sees it as an advantage (even though my job is more marketing and data oriented than IT).

I could never have imagined in just 4 months I would go from knowing literally nothing about writing code or front end development to coding an actual functioning app in React. I really enjoyed getting to know react. the course is well built and very well maintained. The videos take you step by step giving all relevant information. I do wish the course was longer and had more react tools and gave more than just the base.
Taking the foundations built in both the first and second SheCodes courses, Matt deftly explained and applied the same concepts in React, showing both the extent of what we had learned and the complex applications of what we could now do. I feel much more confident in my ability to apply what I've learned in past courses and better able to approach the problem-solving aspects of coding, along with now having a solid understanding of the framework and capabilities of React.
I learned SO MUCH in this course and it was great to see it come to fruition in the form of a working weather app! Excited to continue building on my skills in SheCodes React!
The React workshop was by far the most challenging thing, but also the most fun part of my journey so far. It was full of hours of trying to do the same thing different ways and it failing, as well as the joys of finally figuring out what I wanted to do and having the rush of making a part of the app work well. I recommend this workshop to those that are fine with failing twenty to thirty times before succeeding, because you will hit many walls, at least I did. I will continue what I learned in React and will further hone my skills with other projects.
I started in the beginner workshop months ago. I have taken my time to complete SheCodes Plus. In the months since my last review of SheCodes, the available resources for students has dramatically improved. I love the new interactive cheat sheets available! SheCodes React was challenging but so incredibly rewarding. I loved getting the opportunity to learn another aspect of coding. I hope to continue on this journey with coding. This was a great intro to JS and working with APIs! Pretty easy to follow, and challenging enough to be interesting. I had a lot of fun working on my final project, and I'm eager to learn more about React and responsive development now.

I really LOVED taking the SheCodes React course! It gave me all the tools I needed to build an app from the beginning to the end, using everything I learned in SheCodes Basics and Plus, in addition to learning how to streamline all my code in React. I love this method of learning, with Matt's videos in which he explains and shows the whole process, and also the challenges and homeworks, that allowed me to practice and learn, and also prepared me to the final project. I'm looking forward to getting on SheCodes Responsive!
This course gave me a way better understanding on how react components are created and communicate with each other, than when I tried to learn React by myself. Even though some parts were tricky to follow, especially when a different API needs to be used than the one displayed in the course, I really enjoyed completing the challenges and both of the final projects.
I knew nothing about React before this course, and now I am a huge fan. As someone who tries to keep things organized, I liked the efficiency of building UI components into a huge library. I can see why more and more developers are using it! While this course was a challenge, it was one worth taking. I'm glad that SheCodes added a second project to this course because I felt more confident the second time around and I had a lot of fun creating it. I'm so proud to add two new projects to my portfolio.
After starting my coding adventure with SheCodes Basics I've decided to continue with SheCodes Plus and SheCodes React. It's impressive the amount of things I had the chance to learn. The module about React was definetely the most challenging but at the end I was so happy and proud to submit my 1st React app built from scratch with Matt's help.

Not going to lie, it was a bit of a struggle for me to grasp how React works at first, but with each challenge, it all came together and actually became a lot of fun. I was so excited to see there was not one, but two projects to work on for this course. And as usual, the SlackChat provided a lot of support and help whenever I got a little stuck. Learning React has been such an adventure, I have really enjoyed all of the workshops that Matt created. I am probably like many people who tried to learn how to build a website by picking up bits and bobs of knowledge and examples of code here and there through various means including online tutorials. I really struggled with this approach and building something, like I had to for a couple of university projects, tended to be quite frustrating. With SheCodes I finally found a method to learn in a structured way where each step builds logically on the previous steps. Now that I have finished the basics course I can't wait to get on with SheCodes Plus and React 🥳🤓

Definitively not easy as I thought. During this course I went through a few challenges but I am happy I didn't give up. I gain a more deep understanding on programing. Specially JS with the help of Matt Delac (our instructor) and João Lopes (our tech instructor) I was be able to build a app from scratch. I gain lot of knowledge and new techniques. I am looking forward to the next course React. After finalizing this course it gave me much more confidence. I see myself in the future thriving on this career path. Thank you SheCodes team.

SheCodes does it again. Another great workshop. When I finished my React workshop and worked on other coding projects I really felt like my responsive design needed some work, so I was thrilled when this workshop got introduced. Matt [as always] is a fantastic teacher and this workshop has improved my skills as a designer of ten-folds.
Learning react from Matt was the best decision! It wasn't the easiest, but it was fun to learn. I learned how to find and solve problems throughout the workshop, and found myself enjoying doing it.
This is such an excellent workshop: Matt is a wonderful instructor who makes all these concepts really accessible. I've watched a lot of online React tutorials and no one else is quite as good. I enjoyed the fact that the short videos were easy to understand , the knowledge shared was up to date and the questions were always answered within hours. Wow! I can't believe it's been six weeks. Time flies when you are having fun. React is fun to learn and use. I like how Matt elaborates each process step by step and doesn't skip to introduce us to the basics first before jumping into the more complicated ones. A lot of things I learned from the Javascript workshop made a lot of sense after learning React. I can't wait to start the next workshop!
