Great class, was very hands on and the final project was a challenging and rewarding. Highly recommended. I can't wait to take the Plus, and React workshops!
Every week offers a new challenge to learn and adapt to the languages of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Its program is a flow into the next step, that way you create what was just learned. Smart feedback loop. I feel confident enough to move forward into the Plus and React programs. Another Big bonus is the community that we connect with on Slack to find solutions while participating in each lesson.
After 11 years of gap, I started updating my knowledge about computers by doing some free courses, I was frustrated as there is no particular way. While doing these tutorials, I came across SheCodes workshop which matched my expectation to pursue my goal to become a front -end developer. SheCodes courses are well designed and easy to learn. In terms of easy to learn, the courses has not only learning tutorials but also some short challenges and solutions. I have completed SheCodes Plus and React courses and recently I join Responsive course. Through this I understand current Tech world about website-application design and development. Once again I had a wonderful experience with SheCodes. After completing the first workshop, I went onto SheCodes Plus and learned so much more! I would recommend these workshops to anyone interested in learning to code because they're well organized and broken down into digestible sections. Not to mention the support you can receive via Slack is super helpful. Excited to move on to the next workshop and begin learning React!

This course is incredibly useful and it's great to see the progress in building the app. It was challenging and fun at the same time. React is much easier to use and understand than VanillaJS, so I felt less overwhelmed in terms of notions and learnings. The lessons are well-structured and the Slack community is supportive in the case you feel stuck.
This course really challenged me compared to the previous two courses but I'm proud I made it through and I learned so much about React. The classes are easy to follow and I'm very happy that Slack is there is I ever get stuck on coding! :)
This workshop was awesome! I really enjoyed being able to expand my skills by learning React. I also liked being able to apply these skills to the already familiar project of the weather app. Having a community through the Slack was great in order to connect with others and ask questions.
SheCodes has become an outlet for me to learn and dive into the world of coding. After completing the SheCodes workshop, like many others, I was hooked! I continued on to SheCodes Plus which both challenged and humbled me but nonetheless made me want to keep pushing and learning. I am continuing my journey via SheCodes React and I'm excited and prepared for what's to come!!
Like the other workshops, React was fun to follow along with! I loved seeing my project come to life once again and learned a lot about React.

This workshop is amazing and coding with SheCodes was an awesome experience! The learning experience was off the chart, in so little time I got to learn a lot. It was extremely educational, practical and inspiring, with an amazing teacher (Matt) and all the mentors in Slack that helped us through every task. I had always been interested in trying out coding but it always seemed too difficult and complex. I can definitely say that enrolling at SheCodes is the best decision I've made. I am very happy that I finished SheCodes Plus with confidence and looking forward to continuing with SheCodes React!
As an alumni of SheCodes, SheCodes+ and SheCodes React I am feeling 100% confident about job searching with the skills I've gained in coding from the SheCodes programs. The React program was very difficult and rewarding. I would say that I definitely feel like there is more to learn, and I can see the potential that this language provides on the heels of JS Vanilla. Throughout my experience with SheCodes, I am more and more convinced that programming is a life skill.
I started my first SheCodes workshop back in August 2020 with no prior experience in coding. It's hard to imagine that I am now finishing my SheCodes React!!!🙌 I would recommend it to everyone. The workshop allows you to go at your own pace and to directly apply your newfound coding knowledge in interactive challenges/homeworks. Because of how amazing the workshop is built I manage to do it while working also as a nurse 👩🏻⚕️
It was pretty challenging and emotional time but definitely worthy! I gained really valuable skills that will definitely be useful in my future career. Now I'm sure it's something I want to do in the future. Thank you for this step and see you at the next one. I can't wait to learn React!

The SheCodes 3-week workshop was the perfect introduction into coding. Matt is a fantastic teacher - he explains everything so clearly, making it accessible to everyone (even complete beginners). The course content was well-paced, practical, and enjoyable. I honestly couldn't recommend this course highly enough, and I can't wait to start my SheCodes+ and SheCodes React courses and see where it takes me!

I really enjoyed this workshop and learning about React! SheCodes Plus was definitely a challenge for me, so transitioning into React felt like a breeze (at first), but I know there is still so much more to learn! If there's one thing I would want more of, it would be: more explanation on *why* things work the way they do. The video content is all super helpful especially watching Matt problem solve on the spot, as they come up. Whenever I ran into issues, I was thankful to have Slack as a resource, but I do wish I knew how to troubleshoot for myself a little better. I know that will come with more practice though, and I'm grateful to have gotten the basics down in this course and working on my final project! 🥳
Loved the experience and layout of the lectures. I am definitely pursuing a career as a Software developer! I've already begun learning more languages and I have enrolled in the React workshop.
SheCodes+ was great. Can't wait to dive deeper into more Java principles with the upcoming React and Responsive classes. This has been an amazing journey with SheCodes, going from someone with little-to-no coding knowledge, to someone that has been able to build weather applications in both vanilla JavaScript and React. I am very excited about the new Responsive course and look forward to continuing my coding journey even beyond the SheCodes courses. Another interesting module - definitely struggled more with React but I got it done in the end. I would definitely say there is a bigger gap between the lessons and project for react than there was with Vanilla.

I am so glad that I could finish the SheCodes React workshop! I have followed all the workshops on SheCodes with passion and it helps me to gain confidence not only in coding but also in my career! Due to SheCodes I overcame my fear and I am sure it plays a role in the fact that I found my dream job during my SheCodes journey. Even though it is not related to coding, the strong attention to detail is a strong skill required in my new job, so I am very proud of myself for acquiring those skills. SheCodes has been an amazing experience. I was studying electronic engineering in my home country, where I took some computing classes. Even though I found these classes interesting, I didn't develop a passion for programming back then. It was just until I came to the US that I started building up a passion for this amazing career, and SheCodes played a huge role in this. If you've found programming interesting before, I highly recommend you SheCodes; this course is going to make you fall in love with coding. You'll acquire many skills in JavaScript, HTLM, CSS, bootstrap, a very useful and highly demanded library of JavaSript called React, and so much more.
It has been so interesting learning about React and continuing my coding journey, but it has definitely been the most challenging workshop so far! Matt's lessons are very well structured and informative and I was able to follow along and use the techniques in my project. A big thank you to João for all his help via Slack!
React is surely a developing resource worth to learn and try out, although there were many times I wanted to give up on it, as it looks slightly more complicated and less intuitive at first sight than what I had previously learned in the JavaScript modules. But, overall, it gave me more insights on what coding's endless possibilities are and more experience on how to advance into coding. Nedless to say, without Matt and João's help, developing a functioning weather app would not have been possible at all. Thank you guys and thanks to all SheCodes staff for your support! All the best!
The SheCodes Plus was an intense but rewarding experience. Matt is a great teacher and the challenges really set you up for the final project. I'm very glad I was able to follow it and finish it even while working full-time! Can't wait for the React modules :)
After doing SheCodes plus I could not wait to do SheCodes React, I have learnt even more and this has cemented my interest in code. There were times I was scratching my head but when it clicks into place you feel a great sense of achievement. Matt's way of teaching and the structure of the program really help to guide and support you.

I have never ever considered a career in tech but with everything that's been going on with the economy, I wanted to learn some new skills, skills that are in high demand. I came across the SheCodes a few times and even signed up to the webinar a few times without attending. Yup... I know. I finally decided to give it a try and at least listen to the free intro course. While I was watching Matt code, I said to myself, " I can do that!" So I finally decided to take the 3 week course. I found myself surprising drawn to the lessons and I found the challenges, though frustrating at times, almost like a strategy game. I like this coding thing and so I'm deciding to pursue the React Plus training program to keep this momentum going. I thought that Matt was a great teacher. I did like that he challenged us to do some research on our own in order to complete some of the challenges because it's just real life. I feel that I will be empowered to be able to find solutions on my own if I need to. When I couldn't figure it out however, I was always able to find help through Slack. Invaluable! I would recommend this program to anyone interested in something challenging and surprisingly fun.
Definitely tougher than previous workshops. Need to plan out the structure and flow of your components before getting stuck into the code. Still undecided if React makes things easier than vanilla JS. Good taster exercise.

SheCodes Plus workshop was far more challenging for me but I enjoyed solving the puzzles. I am considering moving to the next workshop SheCodes React.
Omg, what a ride...! This course was fun to do, a bit difficult sometimes, if I'm honest, but I got to know React and to work with it. I was scared at first, but now I feel more "confident" writting code in React that in Vanilla JS! Now it's time to keep improving and learning, this coding thing has no end! ✨🤟🏻🚀

I'm a still a little dazed from actually completing this workshop. It was potentially the most challenging but also rewarding thing I've done so far! Luckily React is only 3 weeks, I need a break :D would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to dip their toes into coding though, just be ready to have your mind blown...

I love love love this course! It not only taught me to code in React but to become more patient and more precise. It's cool to watch Matt figure out the code on spot, this means to me that even Pros still need to figure out the best way. I liked the react workshop, but I think it was vague in some moments. I felt they didn't explain very well a few subjects. So, I think some classes should be taped again with more explanations.
Thanks to Matt and the rest of the amazing SheCodes team, I've gone from knowing next to nothing about coding to being able to program a fully functional weather app in React in the space of just over a month, it blows me away how easily Matt is able to make coding understandable and I am extremely, extremely grateful to him and the rest of the team for giving me life-changing skills! Can't recommend SheCodes enough!

I definitely recommend this workshop for those who work better and are more motivated with deadlines. I learned a lot of different things and was able to build a weather app with React. If you are new to coding, this will be a good workshop and introduction. Also, there is always a live chat with other students that can help you if you ever get stuck.
SheCodes Plus has been an exciting and easy to follow pathway for creating my first folio project. SheCodes workshop has been amazing start to finish. I can't believe that I have learned so much in so little time. This is definitely a great investment. SheCodes React was just as good as the first two courses. Very professional video lessons and I also like homework with deadlines. Like much else new, you often come across something you do not fully understand or it does not always succeed in solving the task, but if you have some issue then SheCodes team are always ready to help through Slack. I would especially thank João 🙏. I want to know if he has time to sleep at all 😄 because he always responds quickly to all of us. Personally, I would like SheCode React to be more in-depth and last longer or for one more course to be offered where you work on another project, so you can improve your skills.
I always felt so curious about shecodes.io and I was even thinking of taking the full Frontend course, even already working as a frontend developer, just to get involved in this experience. So it was a really nice surprise when I discovered the React course! It was a perfect match for me. Really love it! Nice work :)

This coding workshop with React was challenging and offered many useful materials, yet it was fun and exciting to go through the whole course and create your Weather app at the end. Joao was super helpful and supportive in troubleshooting through Slack. The tutoring videos were informative as well. Not sure if the contents are unlimited to access after the finish, but I've tried to take note as much as I can throughout the course.
SheCodes React has been so great to learn, every course lesson is so well planned and clear and easy to follow. It makes learning some pretty complicated stuff super accessible and fun! Im so happy that there is now another course so I can continue my SheCodes journey
This has been the best coding experience of my life. I always wanted to learn to code, and after having my first baby I thought that dream was long lost. I still can't believe how easy was for Matt and the SheCodes to teach us how to do our projects. I'm very happy, I'm about to start the React course now!
