shecodes.io offers basic workshop that helps in understanding the basics of HTML, CSS, and javascript. React, Responsiveness of pages. Explanations of lectures are very simple to understand, and assignments are fun to accomplish while improving skills and providing assistance on slack. the course was highly engaging with explanations that was straightforward. The whole experience absolutely lovely. Very thankful to the whole team!✨🎐

I just finished working on my second React project after completing the Weather App. As I progress, I've noticed that my understanding of using React has improved significantly. I now have a better grasp on deciding when to create a separate component and how to effectively refactor my code within those components. It's been great to see my skills develop as I work on these projects.

Having to create not one but two different weather apps using two different languages has been so interesting. From having little to no knowledge about react to learning and creating a weather app is fascinating. This React course has been my favourite out of all the SheCodes workshops. Thank you Matt Delac for creating easy to follow instructions. It's amazing to think of all the projects I've created, especially having no prior coding experience.
After a few mental breakdown and a lot of watching videos, lectures and readings, I finally finished SheCodes React workshop. I have learnt about React alot and it was super fun and interesting. I made a weather app which has light and dark mode. Although I left out the forecast for now, I will definitely add it later.

I am so excited to announce that I have built not one, but TWO weather applications! Through this workshop, I was stretched to the maximum. Learning new syntax was difficult, but I am glad that this React workshop has given me the confidence to understand and implement new concepts.
A very good exercise for coding with React!
By far, this workshop was my favorite one. I really enjoyed learning React and it made me realize how much faster coding can be using React because I have built two weather applications, one using only CSS, HTML, and JavaScript and the other one with React and although the latter seemed complicated at first but was much easier once you get the hang of it. Of course, thanks again to the SheCodes team and Matthieu for this amazing workshop.
Previously, I built my portfolio already, but this was an excellent opportunity to rebuild Portfolio with ReactJS. As Matt recommended keep it simple and clear, but make look more professional. SheCodes React Workshop has given me a lot of experience. In under six weeks, I learned a lot about React and then utilised it to build a weather app using JSX components, axios, and NPM packages. I discovered how to create functional components, and how React handles state management throughout the lifespan of a program. It encouraged me to continue my education and create a web development project. I'm eager to move forward with my journey.
I thoroughly enjoyed this project, it for sure gave me more confidence working with React.

For me, it was difficult to transfer the Html code from the previous project to React. The explanation was in the lesson after the task itself. Maybe this is the point of finding a way on other resources, but it was very difficult, because those methods did not suit me. I did it myself by trial and error. Of course, a huge plus is that you can turn to the team for help. I was going to apply in this case until I found an error. I have contacted many times on other occasions and the team is very polite, so don't be afraid to contact! A huge plus is the appearance of artificial intelligence, which helps to find errors. True, while there is a limit of 2,000 characters, and the code can be much larger 😅. In any case, I want to review the lessons again and consolidate my knowledge. Thanks for the opportunity to learn! 🥰

SheCodes React Workshop is been a great exposure to me. I learned soo much about React in 6 weeks and created weather app using JSX, components, hooks, axios and NPM libraries in React. I learned about creation of functional components and how state management is done in an application lifecycle in react and some best practices. It motivated me to learn more and develop web development project. Excited to continue my journey forward.
Very VERY fun. Now that I was more comfortable with the material from SheCodes Plus, I was able to have lots and lots of fun with complex features and really try to unleash my creativity on this one. The JS has now become a real logical challenge, it's incredibly fun (I studied Physics so I really like solving problems that are logical and/or mathematical). I cannot wait to go on to the next workshop and find out how React works. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
An extended add-on project that gives an extra practice on React.
This is the second project using React, following the Weather App. I found myself having a better understanding of using React, especially when deciding when to create a separate component, and how to refactor my codes in those components. On top of that, I feel more comfortable using .map() and conditional rendering, all of these techniques made my codes cleaner, shorter and easier to be read by myself and possibly by other developers. I look forward to learn more and deeper about React to create more sophisticated applications in the future!
Wow - you learn A LOT in this course. As always, Matt and she SheCodes team goes above and beyond. There's a lot of great challenges in this course, and it's nice to have the support from the SheCodes team. React was incredibly daunting when I first started coding, and looking back at where I started, it feels manageable and exciting now. I just loved this workshop! I've never worked with react before, but this was a great entry point.
Shecodes plus was a bit more challenging but with Matt amazing instruction's it was so easy to understand. I love that the team is always willing to help and I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to start my next shecodes react course.
In a nutshell: hard to grasp at first but so much fun!! Building a weather app in React was definitely a steep learning curve, but I really enjoyed the process and I was happy with how my project turned out. It is such a useful tool and I'm looking forward to the React add-on so that I can practice some more.

No one is kidding about React, it IS hard work, BUT...Matt takes the time to show you step by step how to build it and explains why it works the way it does. He even shows you possible incorrect solutions and why they are not the best choice. It will test your patience but it feels so exciting when you figure the puzzle out! As long as you follow your coding right along his teachings, you WILL succeed :D
A very good way to start learning about react!!
This is the first time I was being introduced to Node.js and React.js. My goal was to rebuild the Vanilla Javascript Weather App to a React app. I needed to refactor my codes into different components, in a way that they would appear clearer, but still maintain the same, or even better performance. I was introduced to useState and useEffect, which are confusing at first, but so powerful. Overall, I understand why React.js is used by most developers thanks to its effectiveness, and this is a must-learn as a front-end developer.

SheCodes Responsive is the third workshop that I complete. I have enjoyed a lot this one in particular because it allows me to practise all the previous knowledge and understand better how it works. I will continue with SheCodes React Workshop and I'm pretty sure that it will be challenging but very gratifying at the same time. Totally recommended
Just finished my last workshop and I feel that I learnt so much through the last months, but I know there is so much more to learn. I will sign up to React add-on and SheCodes extra to gain even more skills. SheCodes is a great way to start coding. Now I'm able to use my coding skills at my job.
This is a really fun workshop and final project! The React concepts were explained well and the challenges and final project really help you to understand the potential of learning/using React. There is also the opportunity to incorporate all the skills learned on the previous workshops as well. At this stage, I had to turn my brain over, since the logic of React is different from javascript. But Matt explained everything in great detail and gradually brought everything up to date. After completing this part of the course, you will have an understanding of the React framework and you will be able to create a beautiful application. I'm very glad to be here.

React is a bit challenging at a first glance. But when you get deeper it becomes so easy to solve complicated tasks, which would be a liitle puzzled if you solve them with pure JS. I would definitely recommend SheCodes Workshops. Matt as always explains everything in easy way. SheCodes team is always ready to help. And newly created helper Athena AI is awesome. Huge thanks for providing free workshops for women in developing countries. I'm happy to be a part of the coding world now and I'm going to go futher in it. And good luck to everyone!

This is my last SheCodes course, and probably the one I liked the most. I was a little puzzled during the study, but it was exciting to see the differences between React and pure JS, how simple changes make huge difference. I would definitely recommend React to anyone who enjoyed vanilla JS. My coding journey doesn't end with SheCodes, I'm happy it was a big part of my introduction into the coding world. This has been such an exciting and challenging journey!

I recently finished the workshop where I learned how to develop a Dictionary app using React and 2 different APIs. While I found React to be challenging at first, with practice and persistence, I was able to create a functional app. We learned how to integrate 2 APIs (one for word definitions and another for photographs) into the app and how to display the results in a user-friendly way. One thing I appreciated about the workshop was that the instructor provided us with all the code we needed to follow along, but also encouraged us to customize the app and make it our own. Overall, the workshop was informative, and challenging, providing valuable hands-on experience.
The React Dictionary project was my favorite. Great final project building on everything we have learned and practicing further React skills as well as gaining experience with connecting multiple APIs.

The react module was a real challenge for me. I often get stuck in code. I understand that this is only the beginning, and there is a lot of new knowledge ahead of me. And it's scary. But I'm already on this path and I like it.
I wanted to learn the React course for a long time, but due to the incoherence of the content, it was postponed until today, when I was able to learn the basic content of React very well in two weeks and redesign the weather forecasting project with React. This is my fourth SheCodes workshop, and my learning curve has been incredibly steep. I started out with zero knowledge, and SheCodes has given me tons of knowledge and more confidence. SheCodes has given me the confidence to play with code and explore existing libraries and frameworks. The React workshop was terrific; it tied together everything I've learned and pushed me to challenge myself. The instructor is incredibly resourceful and talented and explains things in a simple-to-understand and unique way. The Slack team is ready to answer any question 24/7, and there is a massive community of women with the same goals and ambitions. I cannot recommend these workshops enough!
I honestly didn't believe I could make it to the end of this course because React is not as easy as it has been so far. But once again Matt proved that anyone can do it! Throughout the course I felt that I was accompanied and that little by little I got there! and guess what? I got it!
