The React Add-on project was a great way to learn how to 1) fetch data from multiple APIs and render it in the same application and 2) go through the process of trial-and-error-ing different public APIs that best suit your application.

Understanding how React works, especially its component system, was a real challenge for me. I had an amazing experience creating my own React word dictionary app! Working with React allowed me to build a dynamic and responsive user interface, while integrating APIs for word definitions and image searches added a real-world functionality to my app. The step-by-step guidance and support I received while developing the app helped me gain a deeper understanding of React components, state management, and API requests. The most exciting part was seeing the app come to life with each new feature I added. From displaying word definitions and phonetics to fetching related images, every step was rewarding. Matt puts everything we've learned from SheCodes Basic, SheCodes Plus, and SheCodes Responsive into two big React projects. It was challenging but also really fun to see my code come to life. If there is one thing I have taken away from this second project, it's that the best thing to do when one gets frustrated, is to step away for a few moments, relax or do something else, and when you return the answer often times just comes to you.

I really enjoyed this course which is a continuation of learning how to use functions when creating a web-site using react. The instructions are clear and but also challenging so that you can learn as much as possible whilst working through them.

Ooooof, this was much tougher. Not so much because of the material itself, that was fine, more so because I had to supplement a lot of Matt's Lessons with my own research due to how recent end ever-updating React is. I believe this, more than any other SheCodes Course gives us a true taste of what working as a developer is like. Suffered but earned satisfaction from this one.

The SheCodes workshop has not only taught me HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and many more technologies. The responsive add on is a nice extension for embeds and a clearer understanding of grid usage as well as learning little side skills in css. I'm ready to move onto more advanced layouts and the next workshop - React ✨

When I say React showed me flames! It showed me flames! There were moments when I just felt like shutting my laptop and calling it. But I took breaks and rewatched Matt about a dozen times and I managed to get it down. I need to code more using react to better understand it but I now have a good basic understanding of it. The most understandable video lectures with step-by-step creation of projects contributed to a fairly easy perception of completely new and unfamiliar things for me. Responsive assistants and a community of students helped to resolve difficulties and issues. The last React workshop had a bit of a struggle, but in the end it worked out. Of course, it still takes a lot of practice for theory to become my skills, but a start has already been made.
React is definitely tough to learn but Matt simplifies things and explains them very well. I am so proud of my React weather app!

Even when learning React was tough, it was great to deepen my JS knowledge and study one of the most important topics in front-end development nowadays. The way the classes are organized and the help of the team were key to completing this level.

The SheCodes Responsive Add-on Course has taught me more about grids, tables, and filters. It was a challenge to make the entire site responsive, but it was fun learning new ways to code in css and html. The travel project is one of my favorite projects so far. It was my third course with SheCodes and another exciting journey to the coding world. This one was quite tricky however, I have learnt a lot about React and enjoyed using VS code (React)
I feel so happy and motivated to have learned how to code using React. I thinks that the program is very well made and structured, and the projects and exercises are designed to really help to turn all the theoretical knowledge into (very enjoyable) hands-on experience. I definitely feel driven to continue learning and keep working on this field.
I love SheCodes. I started out as trying to teach myself and I was at a point where I wanted to test my skills and learn more to round out my learning. SheCodes has been a great fit, and is the best out of all of the bootcamps and other programs that I have researched and looked into. The flexibility of the program and the community is just awesome. This course was the most challenging but also most rewarding of all the SheCodes courses. I did for the first time also come across some hurdles which I needed help with solving. This is the third SheCodes workshop I have completed, and it has been the most enjoyable so far! Having previously accomplished the SheCodes Plus workshop, I was excited to take on another challenge and further enhance my front-end development skills. This workshop is an incredible introduction to responsive design, multiple-page hosting, SEO, and more. Not only were the homework exercises engaging, but the final project was the most rewarding experience I have had (so far) learning with SheCodes. The online portfolio is an excellent way to showcase your coding progress and demonstrate the range of knowledge gained throughout the workshops. I can't wait to move on to the next course: SheCodes React!
SheCodes React is a great course to begin learning about react.js. With the information taught, students can learn how to use APIS to build sophisticated apps & projects, like a dictionary app & a weather app. It was very educational and taught me a lot. I'm excited to hopefully use react.js in my career in the future!
I did a lot of outside research and worked with other engineers to make my react projects, so I could write better code and get a better result than the course project but I did enjoy making this applications!
I highly recommend this course as it serves as a valuable supplement to your coding knowledge. I learned a lot about making my code responsive across various devices, not just computers. Additionally, it taught me how to enhance the overall appearance of my code. This journey is not over, as I am enthusiastic about learning the React course as well. I was most excited to learn React and I definitely went a little rogue, but it was a lot of fun.
I enjoyed this course quite a bit. Learning React does feel quite advanced and like a more sophisticated way to code. However, for me, it felt like sometimes new topics weren't made very clear or not expanded upon enough, or sometimes it felt like the instructor was fumbling with their explanation a bit and that made it harder to follow (which I find odd since it's a pre-recorded video, so it should be easy to edit). That could just be my personal experience, though.
