This was definitely a challenge as it took me a bit longer to understand compared to the other workshops. But by using a project I have already built, the weather app, to help me understand React was very helpful. What also helps with motivation is knowing that React is relevant in today's tech world.
Learning react was definitely not a walk in the park BUT I enjoyed the challenge and the team continues to be a huge help! Excited to continue :)

Upon starting this workshop, I quickly realised React has a steep learning curve. However, Matt made the topic approachable and less intimidating through clear explanations and informative demonstrations. This workshop has been a great learning experience that has left me feeling much more confident in furthering my knowledge of React. The project was an excellent means of putting what was taught throughout the workshop into practice. It is also a great follow-on from the SheCodes Plus workshop, highlighting the difference between Vanilla JS and React.
I really loved coding with React ! The dictionary project was extremely fun to do, though with a new layer of complexity. Can't wait to see what is next !

After the React workshop, the Adds-on is definitely a must. You become more aware of everything you still have to learn about react but it gives you a necessary extra boost of confidence. The more you practice the better, specially if there are people guiding you and supporting you. Matt is a great teacher with a great team. I highly recommend to follow the full SheCodes program with every Adds-on if you are taking becoming a front-end seriously. From this course, I learned the basics of React and hope to use them in the future. I learned how to create components and highly appreciated the convenience of using them. They really structure the project in a very logical way and can be applied many times in the right places. And at the end of my efforts I've got an animated weather app! Before taking this course I had heard many negative things about React. However, as soon as I started coding and completing challenges, I realized that React is much better than vanilla JS because there were no long codes anymore (which was annoying to me) and I was able to categorize different parts of my code (It's more concise and maintainable). The SheCodes React workshop was well-structured (as in previous workshops); with comprehensible and easy-to-follow learning videos, multiple challenges, and a practical final project (updating the weather app). I would like to thank the instructor, Matt, for his excellent teaching and guidance. I learned so much from this course and I am grateful for the opportunity to participate.
Thanks to SheCodes team, I could build a sophisticated app, find solutions, and work at a level that I might never have dreamed of in front-end development! I am very proud of myself that I took this course of Coding without experience. Today I can build a responsive Website and host it to a live server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React with GitHub/Netlify.com. I've learn all this in the space of 6months with sleepless night with weekly assignment. Thank you Matthieu Delac for your help and always teaching us to take a break when we're stuck and SheCodes team for your assistance. React Application was very hard to work on but I kept going today done and dusted!

The course gives step-by-step instructions how to start with React, create components, use state, fetch data using API. Matt is a great instructor, he explains every little detail and how things work in a simple way. I had a little problem with deployment, and SheCodes team helped via Slack channel promptly. Very interesting course, react is definately a step up from what we've been learning so far. However, once you start to break everything down into components it all starts to make sense. Will definately be practicing some beginner projects on my own too.

React is an intense swap form Vanilla JS, but after the course React has become preference over Vanilla JS because after getting it down, it is a much more organized way to manage your JS. I am very appreciative for this course. Sad to be getting to the end of the workshops though!

Such a great workshop! It is key if you want to make your webpages responsive, aka good-looking in mobile devices, which is of course crucial if you want to become a front-end dev. As with the other workshops I've done so far, Matt explains everything in a completely understandable manner. I love how we can follow everything step by step, even what to do when we make a mistake! It gives us the necessary tools to do what we are supposed to with some confidence on the way. It's naturalness makes it more attainable. I also feel that little by little I manage to ask less for help, not because I know everything, but because I have the tools to find the answers I need by myself. I really enjoyed building the dictionary app. I have learned so much from the add-on it is not easy however I have a much greater understanding after doing the React and the Add-on workshops.
