SheCodes Responsive is an incredibly useful, yet challenging course. Learning about media queries, Flexbox, and metadata/SEOs was super interesting (and very helpful for my code)! It was a bit difficult to keep up with the amount of information and track the small details, but Matt and the team did an excellent job with the examples and guiding students through the final project.
Coding is fun once you get the hang of it. It requires a lot of focus and patience with yourself. I enjoyed the ability to learn on my own time, with the easy to follow tutorials. I watched the tutorials as many times as I needed too and took a lot of notes along the way to clarify things for myself. The exercises at the end of each lesson are good practice for your weekly projects.
I really enjoyed attending this workshop and learned a lot from the videos and by working on the challenges and the project. In the end, I was able to build my portfolio, which might require some editing but I am really happy with the results.
This course was really interesting and useful for me, the challenges at the end of each lesson were very useful and made us practically code and learn the whole material presented; The final project felt like a real project!
I feel really grateful for the knowledge and valuable experience acquired at SheCodes Plus. Matt keeps you motivated and inspired throughout the course, and the way he explains things makes it possible to build a fully functional weather app and enjoy the process. You quickly realize that learning to code can also be a lot of fun - I would often postpone going to bed, because I wanted to apply some new features to my project, or because I found out how I could improve my code and just couldn't wait till morning. So now I'm looking forward to my next step - SheCodes Responsive.
I really enjoyed building a portfolio website where I can showcase my previous projects and is also responsive on other devices. I enjoyed building it throughout the weeks while learning new things and seeing it come together!

A great course that builds on the introductory skills in the basic class. Instructors are helpful and very responsive through slack when problems arise. A great course to study at your own pace and build your skills with a project.

One of the things that frustrated me the most before this course is not being able to make my projects look good on any device. SheCodes Responsive was an indispensable part of my learning journey. As always, the lessons are super clear and exercises help practice and retain what we have learned. A not-so-good thing that I've learned is I'm terrible at designing!! Never happy with how the projects look but at least they work!
SheCodes Plus was very interesting and improved my skills. I enjoyed making the project and Matt's easy-to-follow lessons made it really easy to learn.
The structure of the workshop is very clear, and every progression is done step by step. Everything you learn is useful for the final project. Matt provides simple explanations in the videos, so everyone can understand, not matter their background. The challenge after each lesson really help to understand how to actually use what you just learnt. The community is very supportive and helpful when you struggle to move on during your workshop. I can't wait to take the next step!
Like many others, I started off knowing nothing about coding. The Basics course was thorough, informative and challenging (in a really fun way). It's not often that I feel a buzz when something isn't working on my computer, but when it was part of the exercises or my project, I really enjoyed it. Matt's lessons are detailed yet concise - great for learning something new with lots of rules. It wasn't long before things clicked in my head and I was able to problem-solve my own errors. My time on this course was well spent, and I only question why I didn't try it sooner.
SheCodes makes it very easy to follow along and learn at your own pace! I found the lessons and projects rewarding. There's plenty of help along the way too if you need it!

During this workshop i learned so many new tools and now i feel confident using them. The final project took a lot of work but the lessons are so easy to follow so i never felt stuck. Now i am excited for the next one!!
100% recommend! Besides some Python courses during my studies in Business Administration, I had nearly no experience in Coding. However, for the SheCodes Basics, no prior knowledge was requested. Both, explanations and the course structure were clear. I finished the course in 1,5 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks. However, I found that the first week of classes took significantly longer as it had more classes and challenges as opposed to the second week. The third week is primarily concerned with the creation of a personal project which was a lot of fun. Additionally, the community is amazing and so helpful when one is stuck with one of the challenges. Even if you are not looking for a job in tech I would highly recommend this course as part of building fundamentals and self-esteem. I will be looking into additional courses.
Coding has always been such a 'scary' or rather, an intimidating thing for me. Something I wanted to get started with, but would think "I don't know if I'll be able to get it 😵💫.", but I DID! SheCodes Workshops are structured in a way where you're being guided, while at the same time, you're being empowered 💪🏼. Matt and the SheCodes team provide you with projects as you move through the lessons (lessons that are very well put together and easy to follow, btw), and not only provide you with a platform to connect with the team if and when you might run into a hiccup, but the option to interact with other SheCoders is available 👩🏻🤝👩🏽. The SheCodes 'Front-End Cheatsheets' were also helpful 👀.
SheCodes was a wonderful experience as a beginner! I come from a background in Healthcare and have always thought of tech and coding as intimidating; however, the lessons per week were well executed. Matt was able to teach the concepts with good detail and there was a lot of resource available, along with support on Slack. I thoroughly enjoyed how the pace was scheduled per week but you could also go through them at your own pace. The combination of lessons with the small challenges, weekly homework, and the final project allowed you to test your knowledge and skills. You are also taught how to use the internet to look for solutions or more explanations to the different concepts in HTML, CSS and JS, which was good practice for real world application. Overall, my experience doing the Basic Workshop has given me a new confidence in my new skillset in HTML, CSS and JS. This experience has filled me with excitement and looking forward to more opportunities in programming. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team!

A really good course for giving a gentle introduction into coding. Getting the chance to do a project and have feedback has been great and the support of other coders and staff is really useful.
This was a challenge for me but I am very proud of myself for completing the workshop. It was nice knowing that there was always help just an email away whenever I was stuck. Practice makes perfect and I can't wait to use what I've learned to build some great projects in the future.
It has been an exciting two weeks for me. I've been trying to do this on my own for a long time now but SheCodes has made coding easy and fun for me. SheCodes Plus is a thrilling challenge that I enjoyed from start to finish. While there is a lot of content, Matt breaks it all down into small chunks and challenges that drive home the principles needed to complete a project I never would've thought I could create.
After doing a series of workshops with SheCodes this course was cherry on the cake! Helped me to organise my projects in a responsive portfolio and updated my skills on bootstrap.
Matt Delac is very good at explaining complex concepts, and I can't wait to advance further with the React-class. I particularly appreciate that the workshops are based around specific projects, because it makes it easier understand how we can apply what we've learnt "in real life". It's been challenging, but so much fun! And, I highly recommend Shecodes.
SheCodes Basics was so fun! I honestly enjoyed the lessons and I felt I was able to get creative with the project at the end of the course. I can't wait to learn what's in the other workshops I signed up for!
I loved doing the 3-week program! I had been contemplating a career change for a while but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do or how I was going to go about it. When I tuned in for the free class with Matt, I was instantly hooked. I could try it, see if I liked it, and if I did I'd have the option to continue my learning. After completing the third week and finishing my project, I already want to learn more to get even better! I love SheCodes and would definitely recommend trying it out for anyone on the fence.
I took a Linux Systems Administration course which includes scripting. When I was successful at writing my first script to build an apache web server, it gave me so much joy that I was successful. My instructor then suggested to me that I could look into coding since I like writing scripts. So, I developed an interest in learning about coding. So far, I found this coding workshop interesting because I learned a lot, and I could practice my creativity in the final project. After a long day at my fulltime job, I found myself still having so much passion for learning how to code because the topics were mentally captivating. I am thankful for the opportunity to sign up for this workshop.

I'm so excited about doing my first real project. I always thought coding is so hard and I can't do that. But now I see, I can. Learning with SheCodes is pretty interesting and absolutely easy. All videos are clear and you can understand the lesson very well when you finish homework and watch solution videos.

Making webpages more responsive takes a surprising amount of patience, but it was helpful to see Matt model how to build responsively and get the help of the team on Slack. By the end of my project, I started to feel like I was getting the hang of problem-solving. It's nice to have so many projects integrated into the workshops so I can put new learning into practice.
Totally loved this course! I used to build websites from scratch when I was around 12-years old yet over 10+ years, I just somehow didn't continue with this hobby anymore. With this 3-week course, I wanted to find out if this love for coding was still there and it definitely is! The way Matt teaches is so engaging and motivating, plus the Slack channel with fellow students ensures you can keep each other accountable in completing the projects. My next step? Signing up for the more advanced course for sure. Thank you SheCodes for restarting this fire in my belly :)
I've been somewhat interested in coding / web developing for a few years now, but learning everything by myself resulted in quite a mess in my head. SheCodes finally helped me make it all make sense! In addition to the very basics I've known, Matt and his team taught me many new tricks and possibilities that I'm sure will greatly improve my future projects. Every part of the course is designed really well, and even if you struggle with getting something work there's a huge support net made of SheCodes team and other students eager to help you figure things out. This course got me totally hooked on coding and I hope I'll be able to continue to progress!

Just like the other courses, it has been a great experience. Especially the additional project at the end was nice to still learn some new details within the react framework.
This was the best experience learning to code for me. I was an absolute beginner when I started. Before I took this class, I never imagined I would be able to code. Matt does a great job of starting you off small, so that you feel victories as you go along to keep you motivated. All of the information about the programming languages was up to date information. This is much better than trying to go it alone. I enjoyed the final project so much and I would recommend SheCodes to any ladies I know that want to learn.

I would highly recommend taking part in the SheCodes workshops! As someone who had never coded and had no knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript before starting my first coding workshop with SheCodes, I found the workshops very informative and more importantly, enjoyable. I had a wonderful time learning how to code and putting what I had learned into action. I felt proud seeing my progress throughout the workshops and completing my final project on my own. If you are hesitating whether or not you should join the SheCodes workshops, I would tell you to go for it. Starting my coding journey with SheCodes was a great decision! Tutorials are clear and easy to follow even for an absolute beginner. I had a lot of fun completing this course! I had a few weeks in summer where I didn't have much to do and this was the perfect way to spend my free time! It was cool to see how I could actually use what was taught during the 3 weeks while doing the final project and understand why things didn't work sometimes. I plan to take the next course when I have some more free time in the future!
I work fulltime, and have a very active life besides work - the workload per week fits me just right, I could literally keep on forever with these lessons. If you're as much of a perfectionist as I am, you'll even have enough time to really dig into it and make your project your own - I love it! Looking forward to improve my coding skills even more, with additional SheCodes workshops. (@Matt You have to keep releasing new workshops so I can just keep going forever. 😂)

I'd wanted to learn how to code for a long time and I'm so glad I finally gave myself the chance! Although there is still much to learn, I feel so much more confident around code and I know it will serve me well both in my current career and in the future. This course was *so much fun*! Challenging at times, sure, but never too much so because I knew that if I ever needed it, help was just a simple click away. Matt's videos were helpful and fun and the Slack community would respond to any question I had, no matter how stupid it was, within a couple of hours. I really recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into coding. It's so rewarding to see your final project functioning as it's meant to!
SheCodes Plus was definitely more difficult, and frustrating, than SheCodes Basic but it was so rewarding to complete the final project! I definitely recommend the Plus workshop if you're looking for more of a challenge.
SheCodes Plus was a bit more challenging than SheCodes Basic, especially with three heat waves and a toddler at home. 😅 In the end, I needed all three extensions… But it was also incredibly rewarding! I learned a lot and it is so much fun to master all those little challenges that come up during coding. When I finally submitted the weather app I had built (the final project), I couldn‘t help but feeling proud of what I had created and of how far I have come since I started my coding journey. Now I'm excited to start the next workshop and learn how to make sites responsive!😁

The SheCodes Basics workshop was really fun! I was surprised how much I looked forward to watching the videos and completing the challenges. It felt really empowering to understand something I had always assumed just wasn't "for me". Women are rarely encouraged to explore areas like coding so I really appreciated this environment and safe space. The problem-solving and creative elements were my favourites...I spent a lot of time playing with colour gradients for my final project! I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone looking to explore something new!
This has been quite a journey. Learning how to code in React included a lot of frustration, but mostly with positive feelings when my ideas came alive. Thank you for this experience! SheCodes is an easy way to learn to code. Matt explains it well. And when I didn't completely understand the explanation in the video's, luckily a search on the internet made it clear. I really loved doing the final project; it all came together and I could spend hours without watching an instruction or making homework. I wanted to learn coding but I always thought it was complicated to learn. That’s not true at all! Matt makes it so easy to understand, and the practical exercises give you time to try and learn at your own pace. There’s a great team and an amazing community that can help you whenever you feel stuck with the coding as well, and I think that keeps you motivated 💗. This was my “summer challenge”, to learn something new. Now I’m able to code my own projects using HTML, CSS, and JS !!

I wanted to make my SheCodes Plus project mobile-friendly, so I had a look into responsive development a little early - but this course helped to explain some of the things I'd started to explore, such as the sizing elements in Bootstrap. Whilst I felt the course could have been condensed a bit, I'm glad I did it.
It's been such an amazing journey with all 4 workshops at SheCodes. I cannot believe all the amazing projects I've completed. React was very challenging and I got lost so many times but it's fulfilling when you finally get it, so I'd say it was bittersweet🤣 but worth all the pain.
I have to give it up to Matt and the excellent SheCodes Team for setting up this Responsive Workshop!!! 👏👏👏I found it to be the most challenging of all the courses, mostly because, I chose to build my Front End Developer portfolio for the final project. Another great course! I decided to use my final project to make an author website for my mum - it was amazing to be able to confidently work on a real-life project, and I had a lot of fun making the content adapt to different screen sizes. Looking forward to returning to JavaScript in SheCodes React!
SheCodes has been a great resource to get me coding at a pace I can control with enough structure to keep me focused on completing classes and projects. I had to take several months off but was able to jump back in with relative ease. Glad I can play back my former lessons as refresher and they are always there if I need them in the future. The introductory course to coding is highly recommended if you want to learn in an interactive way. The way the course is set up triggers your motivation and the ability to complete your project. You learn technical language and tools to use. The time spent on the course has gone very fast since it has been a lot of fun and caught my interest very much. I look forward to applying my new knowledge to my job as a tester, and would recommend the course to others who are interested in coding. 😀
I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes Basic course and I was so surprised I could learn so many things in such a short time. I went from having absolutely no idea of what css was, to happily coding my very fisrt project in just a few weeks! A huge thanks to Matt and the entire SheCodes team!
As a Business Analyst and working with developers, I found it important to have a better understanding of coding and to see what can be done. SheCodes Basic allowed me to discover this world and gave me the basics I needed. For my final project I wanted to create a site that represents my resume which will then help to apply for my first job in IT environment.

I’m happy to share that I have finished my Weather App project for SheCodes Plus. Or it would be more appropriate to say ‘decided to stop with it for the moment’ xD Since the way I’ve been seeing it - it’s pretty more than I was expected to submit as homework. I tried my best to make it already responsive, though this topic will follow in next course only. And it’s firm 80% of what I wanted it to be, inclusive of: - themes and layers are changing based on weather conditions - clouds animation depends on wind speed - fonts react to day / night - the cities options are populated from Google API - basic settings of theme and units are available, along with GPS position saved due to localStorage - there are some pretty Bootstrap elements - I’ve picked up some funny pixel-style visuals for loaders and found exactly the same old-school games font I was looking for - and again… it’s already pretty responsive to different viewports. That was a challenge, especially the responsive part. And another opportunity to double confirm that knowing your target it’s already half way. Googling a right question it’s already half an answer. I haven’t figured out yet why there are issues with GPS on iPhones and some Bootstrap elements on certain iphones only, so let’s head to SheCodes Responsive and check whether there are the answers I need. (My precious) That little Ghibli tribute was done from the bottom of my heart. I learned so much during this workshop. Every lesson+challenge feels like a fun game and it's so gratifying to be able to build a website as a final project. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in coding. I had so much fun learning and designing.
