I had the most challenging yet fun time learning the basics of Front End with SheCodes. I'm impressed I actually got to finish the project which couldn't be real without the amazing SheCodes team assisting during the whole learning journey. Some of the parts were especially hard to understand, but Matt made sure each lesson has a detailed and step-by-step explanation. I will have a bit of rest and definitely jump to the next advanced chapter!

SheCodes Basics is a good starting point for those interested in coding. The lessons are bite-size thus easily fit around a busy schedule. The final project is a culmination of what you've been taught but also allows for some creative freedom.

I recently participated in the SheCodes Plus coding workshop, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. Despite not being in a physical classroom, and somewhat challenging, the instructor did an excellent job of creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. The workshop was structured in a way that allowed for plenty of hands-on practice, with coding exercises, weekly homework and final project that challenged me to apply what I had learned. The online format allowed me to work at my own pace and revisit material as needed, which was incredibly helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this online coding workshop to anyone interested in learning to code or looking to improve their skills. The quality of instruction and the interactive format made for an enjoyable and rewarding experience that I would not hesitate to participate in again.

The world clock project in this add-on was beyond fun to code and also one that allowed me to stretch the skills that I have already picked up. I loved this challenging little project. This workshop was very important in order to create a responsive webpage as part of another project during my path with Shecodes. It really helped me to improve and develop my coding skills as a Front-end developer.
Creating this hobby project was quite fun and has helped me feel more confident in my coding skills! This mini-course taught a few more advanced HTML, CSS, and Javascript skills. Learning how to create a CSS grid, animations, and a dark theme toggle was especially useful and exciting.
I really loved the React add-on project! I got a better understanding on how React works and everything seems to fall in place after i finished this project.

It was a more difficult task than it seemed at first. But it turned out to be extremely interesting and useful. As someone with little to no experience in coding prior to attending this program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum. I have really enjoyed my SheCodes Basics experience, the platform worked really well with my preferred learning style of hands-on, allowing me to get stuck in with the experiential practice. I found it challenging in a positive way, spending hours immersed in focussed problem-solving and feeling a great sense of achievement upon completing the tasks. It was also great to see the elements of HTML, CSS and Javascript come together for the final project!

It was a very simple project but with a lot of different techniques being applied. I think it was over-simplified at times - I know that if I wouldn't have a bit of previous knowledge (I mean deeper than she codes basisc) some concepts would have been confusing. Also I think it should have proper english captions, instead of the automatic ones.
I never thought that coding was suitable for me - I never had much of desire to computer sinceses. If only I knew how wrong I was! The second I started working on my project, I couldn't stop:) Cant wait to begin my next workshop. Thanks SheCodes Foundation for this amazing oportunity💙
Everyday is a testimony, every solved code for me calls for celebration. I remember attending the first free session with Matt and I wanted to cry. I understood nothing. I was filled with fear. However, with a strong and dedicated mindset, I proceeded to apply. Today I am happy with the amount of knowledge I have gotten from the BASIC course. That mountain I saw? It was not really a mountain. It was a heap of sand that looked too high from afar. I cannot wait to move forward and grow more within this tech journey. As I said in this project, I say again: It will end in #WomenInTech.
I took a hiatus from my project on SheCodes. But when I returned, I found it easy to relearn some of the basics/pick up where I left off.
SheCodes was really fun and was very educational for me. Matt was a wonderful teacher who was very encouraging and made everything easy to understand. I feel that I learned a lot in such a short period of time. SheCodes provided a lot of great resources to put your own spin into your homework and own personal projects. It was a great experience for me to be able to learn alongside so many other women.

I found the SheCodes basics workshop to be both challenging and motivating. I looked forward to the time I set aside to work on my lessons throughout the week. I liked the predictable format of the lessons and how the skills are broken down so when I got to the project and needed a refresher, I could easily access a specific lesson. In addition to the lessons, there is a variety of other support available such as the SheCodes "cheatsheets" the MDN website and the slack chat.
I loved this workshop since you can take a more insightful and profound view of coding. Everything was very well explained, and I loved the little exercises. The final project was one of my favourites I have done up until this point. I would 100% recommend this workshop.

Comparing myself with how I felt at the beginning of the course and now, I feel satisfaction and gratitude. Satisfaction from the fact that I can make a site, make it contact the user. I'm a recent Electronic and Electrical Engineering graduate from University College London (UCL). My journey into computer science started during my studies, where I delved deeply into Machine Learning. I loved it, so I decided to venture out and see what else there was to learn! I was looking for a bootcamp and then landed on the SheCodes workshops. I immensely enjoyed every minute of it. Not only was it a great introduction into web development but it helped me tap into my creativity. I built projects of my own alongside this course, using the knowledge from each lesson, which I'm very proud of. I'm looking forward to completing the entire bootcamp!
