I started She Codes courses 2 years ago, and since then I pursued a career as a frontend engineer and already had the opportunity to work with two different companies. I believe I can say that this course completely changes your life. So, when I saw this new extension with AI, I got excited to try and it did not disappoint. It was very fun to build the project while very useful to learn more about using the new technology.
This project was a step up, but going through step by step with repeated practise really gave me confidence to relax and trust myself to be independent. Super satisfying when it all works smoothly. Lesson by lesson I can feel myself getting more and more comfortable with JavaScript especially. The bite-size learning chunks is what it's all about. Really looking forward to the next workshop! Took a lot of motivation to finish the project. I'm not very creative but this was fun.
With this Plus Add-on, in the first part of the workshop, I was able to learn more about HTML inputs, labels and select. The second part was more focused in Javascript and how to build a world clock using moment.js as a final project. Personally, I found this super intuitive and really fun to create.
This was such an interesting, up to date, project. Brought back my love for poetry and involved AI which is quite an unique combination.

After completing SheCodes Plus, I continued onto the Add-on module that became available. This has allowed me to refine and develop all the skills that I had previously learnt in SheCodes Plus but also allowed me to add to my knowledge, enabling me to create a project that contains all of my existing skills and new skills combined.

I really enjoyed the course. I feel I’ve learned quite a bit in a short amount of time and I’m impressed with my final project’s result. The course is structured in a way that the difficulty is increasing gradually and you never feel like you are struggling. Really appreciated the Shecodes support in Slack and the possibility for students to help each other.
The workshop keeps proving to be great! The structure is very clear. The weeks are all different, some can be more challenging than others, but the satisfaction of seeing your project come to life bit by bit is invaluable! Starting the final project from scracth is very useful, so you get the feeling of how the whole process works from step 1 to end and get to practise the basics again.

This is my second course completed with SheCodes - and just like the first, I have found it to be such an incredibly well thought out and well taught module. I have enjoyed learning about grids, transformations and how to change whole themes of web pages. I'm really proud of my final project using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and can't wait to get stuck into more coding as I continue on my SheCodes Max journey.

I liked this section of the workshop, but a bit different from the other workshops where you had to build your own project. This workshop gave you an option so I opted to essentially follow Matthew to replicate his. This was not my favorite workshop and could have skipped it if I knew the layout.

This whole experience has been an exciting one for me. I really enjoy learning, and having an experience like this one where I can utilize the new info and actually see it manifest physically has had me doing backflips! I have enjoyed myself a lot and I literally cannot wait for more. The challenges had me excited to learn more and do even more coding. I have gained more confidence in my ability to grasp the content. This course is definitely more advanced and at times, there was a lot of problem-solving along the way! I still have a long way to go to be able to code on my own, but overall it's really exciting to see your project come to life in step-by-step increments and I cannot wait to learn more.
I would definitely recommend SheCodes! It gave me the opportunity to learn something from scratch and create very interesting things. I started with no idea about anything, and had a lot of fun in the process, seeing the projects come to life. It was a very nice experience, with a lot of learning and growth, that I would recommend to other women. Not only to teach them something very important and useful that will give them more opportunities, but also to empower them.
In this course, I learned how to create a project starting with a prototype, build an HTML structure, and use advanced CSS with Bootstrap. I also learned how to keep my code clean and clear. Learning responsiveness was challenging in the beginning, but I got through it. I enjoyed the course. Highly recommend it!
I have completed other programs before but I didn't gain the self confidence I needed to apply what I learned into building projects. After completing SheCodes plus, I gained so much confidence in myself and my ability to code. What I struggled with before, was creating functions and know where and how to call them, after building the weather app with SheCodes(I created so many functions) that they are now my best friend (lol). I now look forward to creating projects to add to my portfolio all thanks to SheCodes Plus!

SheCodes Responsive has taught me all of the things that I wished I could have done with my projects from SheCodes Basic and especially SheCodes Plus. I recognise there are other workshops that could, no doubt, teach the same content, however, the means in which SheCodes delivers this program of learning is effective for how I learn. The delivery of a lesson, followed by a challenge with a marked result and a solution provides the learning examples for me to properly understand. One of my favourite things about SheCodes is that even Matt struggles to get code to work for him sometimes, and he is a professional developer. This gives me confidence in my own ability (as it shows anyone can make a mistake, regardless of how advanced they are) and I appreciate that Matt could have gone on to re-record these lessons but instead shows us how he fathoms out these issues. Overall, SheCodes Responsive has certainly been a great learning experience and I look forward to undertaking React as well as the further 'add-on' projects 🥳
