The whole program was well structured and easy to follow with fun challenges and projects to submit. I would strongly recommend it anyone who wants to start learning coding.
Such a great course! I thought I would never learn everything I needed to know by the final project but in the end it all came together! I love that the course videos are always available to re-watch and the resources are really helpful too.
My favorite part of the SheCodes workshop was learning by doing, especially with the final project - you get to actively understand what you are doing, not just passively watch coding videos. A challenging course that would be worth taking for any woman actively seeking a career in development. Definitely more of a challenge and time commitment than the SheCodes workshop; the road was long but I am glad I was able to deliver a project I was happy with.

This was so fun! I was able to apply everything that I have learning during the first workshop, plus other new features that will definetly be very useful! During the classes I was able to use tools and procedures that are applied in "the real world". After completing the final project I was very proud to have built an application with so many awsome features. Once again, Matt was an excellent tutor, and the whole SheCodes team were super nice. Can't wait for the next step :)
Learning process went smoothly. I enjoyed working on the assignment in each chapter, this helps me improve the knowledge I have learned from each class immediately. I am glad that I could figure out how to solve the problem for my Final Project of this workshop! It was a fun experience!

I am so grateful for this small workshop. I am a high school student with a relatively heavy workload and still managed to get all work in on time. All lessons are taught thoroughly which means that weekly challenges will be very easy to complete and I virtually needed no help. However, I always knew that I could ask for help anytime in the Slack chat. The final project demonstrates a person's creativity and really challenges your acquired knowledge. All in all, this course was highly rewarding.
When I saw about the sheCodes workshop, I've decided to sign up in their account and that was the time when I've watched Matt Delac's video. I was so amazed on how he explained everything and I felt that I absolutely want to try. Luckily, I have a background in programming, so I've chosen to enroll in sheCodes. I have no regrets at all! During the course I've learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Editor, API, Github, Bootstrap and Hosting. Coding will test your patience, but they are really well organized in excellent content of projects with time frame. By following the course, I was able to learn and build on the concepts with minimal frustrations. They prepared people to carry out skills in the actual world. I am very much confident enough with my accomplishments in coding, thanks to sheCodes team.

I love SheCodes! I decided to take the SheCodes workshops during Quarantine, and it has been a great way to grow my knowledge of coding and have something productive to do with all of my extra free time indoors. I would HIGHLY recommend these workshops to anyone who has wanted to learn more about coding, the videos are easy to follow, and the homework and projects are easy to complete. No deadline will make you feel overwhelmed, and the Slack communities they have created are all welcoming. All of the women in the slack communities want you to succeed. I am right-brain oriented--and with an arts and humanities background--the idea of me even considering a coding class was insane and nerve wracking. While using COVID as an excuse to try something new but practical, I decided to take the coding workshop and I am so glad I did. Matt's instruction and explanations are clear and concise, the lesson challenges aren't daunting but helpful, and finishing the homework and final project was incredibly rewarding. I look forward to taking Plus and Plus React in the future!
During the Plus workshop we learn a bit of more advanced javascript, bootstrap, integration with API's, version control with GitHub and how to host our application. All of these components combined in a challenging and portfolio-worthy final project.
At times, I found the course quite challenging but I was determined to not ask for help and find out the solution on my own. It is so rewarding with being able to do it correctly! I would recommend this course to anyone looking to get a basic knowledge of coding. The videos and challenges made it really simple to understand and really enjoyable! The homework and final project that was set was fun as well I'm hoping to be able to continue onto SheCodes Plus soon!

I am so thankful that I started this journey with SheCodes, I almost wish it didn't end, but I plan to do other boot camps, courses, and expand my knowledge. I plan to do more projects and search for more resources so that I can obtain a job in this field. I went from knowing nothing about coding in July 2020 to being able to build a website and then some in November 2020. I hope others take advantage of this opportunity and spread the word that this is the cheapest boot camp outside of the free ones and the individuals courses.
This is my first time undergoing a real coding project and I must say I am very much satisfied with my experience. Thank you for this opportunity. Looking forward to enrol to future workshops to sharpen my coding skills .

Great 3 weeks of learning and you can do it on your own pace. It's really convenient when you work. You got plenty of help from the staff and fellow coders. With the introduction courses, you learn all the basics pretty fast and you get to do your own project which is pretty awesome ! Would recommend SheCodes to anyone interested in coding :)
I am so glad I signed up for this - it's helped me realize how powerful and fun coding can be and I found myself eagerly wanting to code each day as I was excited to work on the homework and projects. I am excited to continue!
My company offered a discount for the SheCodes workshops, and as a Technical Project Manager who has always wanted to learn to code, I took the opportunity during the pandemic to jump in. I think the structure and routine of SheCodes lessons helped to simplify and reinforce basic dev concepts through repetition and real-world application, but a lot of the lessons seem plucked from the developer.mozilla resources. Also, for the amount of material, I wish there were an easy way to download documentation, although I suppose I could just go to developer.mozilla and find them there. Ultimately, the reason I probably wouldn't recommend SheCodes to anyone is the weird taste left in my mouth having learned post-signup that SHECodes was founded and run by a man. :facepalm:
I am an environmental engineer, I work with projects related to creative and circular economics. I am very curious and I have a passion for nature and I see it as a great art, very well programmed! Staying more at home in these pandemic times and having a curiosity to learn something new made me rescue an old and hidden desire: learn to program, understand this art that looks like magic! I really enjoyed these first three weeks and I am looking forward to the next! I hope in the future I will be able to develop a career in technology in parallel with the environmental career. And I feel that SheCodes is the enzyme to catalyze this desire!
I had previously taken the three week course and was highly satisfied with that one. This one was a bit more challenging but the knowledge I gained whilst working on my project was well worth it.

It was very achievable to me as a first time coder. I really enjoyed this course, especially the pace at which Mat goes through each concept and builds on each skill lesson my lesson. I loved how the final project tied in all the concepts in a very practical and functional way!

Highly recommend all three workshops with SheCodes! I do wish React was longer and it would be nice to have a different project from the weather app in SheCodes Plus, though I do appreciate seeing how to take a vanilla js project and build it through React. The SheCodes team is extremely helpful and I enjoyed being part of the community on Slack. After completing all three workshops, I believe more education is needed before applying to any junior development roles, but this is an amazing start and provides a lot of resources and knowledge to get you started in software development!

Considering my background, I never expected to like or understand coding but this workshop completely changed my perception. SheCodes is truly an amazing project, I had lots of fun learning about coding and it is exciting to see all the little changes you're making in your work in real time. The videos are vey straightforward, you can easily keep up and help via Slack is super fast! I truly enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and take time to apprehend all the new information. Joining this workshop was hands down one of the best decisions I made.

I decided to attend the course out of curiosity. I don't want to be a developer, but I wanted to understand a bit of it since I work with developers and also I sell a JS technology, so it's good to know how it works to talk with my prospects. And at the end of the course I had a trip, so didn't put much effort into the final project, but the important thing is the knowledge. The course is very very good, and having the support on Slack is a super plus!!
It was so much fun learning and working on projects and challenges. The mentors were very helpful and I learned quite a bit. I look forward to the next Chapters of Plus React!

No question left unanswered thanks to the lovely post challenge solution videos, which are always reassuring after some of the most challenging moments. There are still some areas I would like to improve in my projects but thanks to this workshop I actually feel capable of doing so!

SheCodes Plus was a real challenge. I learned a lot and the support from teachers was great. The course material was really good to create a simple project. When I tried to make my project more complex, I found the help I needed through the slack channel.
That was quite a ride! Right off the bat, I can say that I’m not mastering React (yet), but I can ensure that these weeks of learning React were a great start to put myself into this learning process. I like how recorded lessons were raw and that Matt showed the whole process (without editing it out) and the challenges he was facing along the way. One thing I’d love to see in the future is more courses for different project types. I guess I’m saying that because I really enjoyed the classes, and I wish I could stay for a bit longer, diving even deeper into coding with the SheCodes team :) Thank You ALL - Matt, SheCodes Team, and all Ladies!

I really enjoyed the process of working on my SheCodes Plus Project. I was able to use all that I learned in my two workshops to make something impressive! This was a great way to commit all that I learned to my memory in a fun and effective way.
I tried many different online coding courses but none of them were as engaging as SheCodes. The fact that we have a community on Slack is an added bonus because you get to see fellow SheCoders like you learn and figure out the tasks given. I especially like the fact that we are given a project at the end of the workshop for you to test your skills from the lessons. Would definitely recommend!
Matt's approach to teaching was simplistic and easy. Each lesson built up towards the next steps leading all the way to the main project. I enjoyed coding with SheCodes.

I really enjoyed this react workshop Matt was so explain in the videos and also I received a lot of help from Joao. I've never made a project like I made here, I also learned pretty much.
I chose 3 out of 5 for this product for a few different reasons. Some of the reasons I will list have a positive and a negative side to them. I am continuing on to complete the Plus and React courses as well, but the Workshop has set the tone for me in regards to expectations from SheCodes. POSITIVES: (1) SheCodes will help me reach a decent skill level in coding languages and software that are brand new to me. (2) The instructor provides good resources for you to further your knowledge [on your own]. (3) You can learn most of this information for FREE online, but the key to SheCodes is the packaging. You would have a difficult time finding a similar course that includes infrastructure, support and accountability. In my opinion, that is where SheCodes SHINES and is the primary benefit of learning code through this platform. NEGATIVES: (1) While the instructor points you in the right direction to helpful resources, I feel that SheCodes should also provide reference materials within the program (material created by SheCodes). The documentation for each lesson is helpful but it is inconvenient to hunt down, for example, how to properly code an event listener in JavaScript after I have moved on from that lesson. Also, the documentation for topics were introduced too early or too late. There were a few times where I remember watching the video then viewing the documentation and seeing concepts that had yet to be discussed in the videos - which also makes it harder to hunt down documentation later on while working on the project. (2) In the same vein, I also wish that there was actual documentation. The documentation included are examples at best, but I feel with the cost of the program, there should be accompanying text. Personally, I grasp concepts so much better when I can read something through. I understand you learn code by doing it, but I should have the option to read and understand why, for example, I have to change an image display to block if I want to center it on the webpage. The instructor videos VERY LIGHTLY scratch the surface of each language, and I feel that I deserve WAY more out of SheCodes for the cost. I still have 2 more sessions of SheCodes so maybe I will find more value along the way. CONCLUSION: SheCodes has good packaging but it only gets 3 stars from me, because I will still have to find and/or create my own reference materials to retain the skills I've learned. I am continuing on to SheCodes Plus then React, so I am excited to keep learning (especially so quickly)! However, I fear this will only amount to three INTRODUCTORY courses that I overpaid for.
I am really glad I joined the course, it not only taught me a new coding language but also gave me an opportunity to learn how to modify the existing code and make it cleaner. I am very happy with the way my final project turned out.
I have loved every minute of this workshop. The exercises after the lessons really helped with integrating what I learned. Also having deadlines provided me with the discipline I needed to go through with it. Working on my personal project was so fun, I can't wait to continue my adventure at SheCodes!

This was my first try at coding and I loved it beginning to end. It was challenging at times and making me question my sanity sometimes, but I enjoyed it immensly. Matt put together an amazing workshop and I can't believe it has taken only three weeks to learn so much. Great opportunity to start coding and made first project. The lessons are really understandable for person who hasn't got IT degree. Moreover you can always ask for help on slack if you have any problems with your code. I recommend that course if you want to try yourself in web developing.

I wouldn’t recommend the workshop to people who already been through computer science class especially React. On the other hand I highly recommend this workshop for people who want to learn React or take their first steps into programming / development. I had fun during this workshop, it was nice to challenge myself and to try new things, as well as to improve my knowledge. The team is always ready to support you, even with problems that I had created myself by creating the project differently than requested, because I wanted to challenge myself a bit more. Thanks to you all, it was a fun time.
I have had a great time learning how to code with SheCodes. It not only teaches and gives suggested answers to each tutorials, but also allows us to ask questions when we face problems with our coding. Besides, the deadline of each week's homework disciplines me to pass up my project on time as I tend to procrastinate a lot. For me, it was the best decision to sign up for SheCodes.
Starting with only very basic HTML and CSS knowledge, I can't believe how far I've come with SheCodes! Although it was tough at times, I loved every second of the projects and tutorials. I feel confident in the basics now and I'm looking forward to building on my knowledge from here with my own projects. I thought I would be overwhelmed given that I had little to no experience programming but it was very intuitive and easy to follow. The community on slack is really nice and always ready to help. SheCodes has been the perfect pandemic project for me, with just the right balance of structure and creativity, allowing me to re-learn how to learn. The video material was super easy to follow. The workshop is the perfect introduction (as well as a refresher if it's been a while!) to HTML, CSS and JS - the information does not overwhelm you and it actually makes you excited to come back to it every week and complete the challenges/homework. The knowledge that you'll gain solely from the workshop may be limited, but it will be a solid foundation and once you get to the final project you'll realize how much you've actually learned as it will be sufficient to get you "in the zone" and allow you to have fun with it :) . The personal advice offered by the instructor is extremely useful as well. Definitely worth every cent. Excited to come back for more soon!
I really enjoyed the SheCodes introductory workshop! Matt was a great teacher and went through everything step-by-step. I especially enjoyed his humour - it made learning more fun! The challenges and project are also a great way to hold you accountable and practice what you learn along the way. I'm a digital marketing professional and I think what I have learned here will certainly help me in my career. I'm looking forward to continuing my learning and becoming more adept with programming. I definitely recommend that everyone learn at least the basics of programming - you won't regret it.
SheCodes Plus has really improved my skills in my job as a software tester. I am now much more skilled at writing quality bugs and pointing developers to the issue, even helping to debug code and setting up the automation testing on our project. SheCodes+ has been a fun and challenging 8 week course and I would recommend to anyone who wants gain confidence in Front-End Development 💪The course is very well structured - allowing you to learn a little at time, while building up a real working prototype. It's exciting to see it all come together as the weeks progress. Easy to follow tutorials, with helpful support 24/7 and feedback on project submissions, it's a great way to learn. I know coding is important for my future career, but I never thought I could enjoy it. Shecodes really change my mind. I learned a lot just by the introduction course, and I really enjoy working on the project. Now I feel more confident to go to the next level!
The SheCodes Workshop is a great introductory course to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Access to the channels in the Slack App for additional help with the challenges was extremely beneficial. I enjoyed trouble shooting/puzzle solving to achieve the desired outcome of the projects and I'm excited to move forward and learn more! 👩💻🧝♀️
