I really liked the Basic course from SheCodes. Everything is explained well and not boring, as it's sometimes found in other courses, because after those i was always thinking like "is it that i want to do?". SheCodes Plus was a really great follow up to SheCodes Basic. I had a lot of fun building my weather app, and while it was not easy, it was VERY doable with Matt’s instruction. I have always been technologically inclined, so I've always wanted to get into coding and understanding the language of technology. However, I didn't know how to get started in this field! Nice course intro to HTML, CSS and JS. Matt explains things clearly so it's easy to understand, as well as teaching you good coding practices such as why you structure your code a particular way or when to use a certain technique. Would definitely recommend to others 👍
I learned so much in the SheCodes React workshop! The assignments were scaffolded well and provided me with the knowledge to build both the weather and dictionary final projects. Even though I ran into challenges along the way, the Slack support and community was a great resource and helped me to persevere til the end. I wish there were more workshops! The layout of the workshop makes coding doable and is not overwhelming, Matt's lessons are easy to follow, and I am motivated to keep learning!

I finally got comfortable with Javascript. Matt teaches it in a way that someone who has to relearn things a few times can understand the concept.
This course is a major upgrade from SheCodes Basics with lots of new content, and it was really challenging for me! If you have an interest in learning how to code, the SheCodes Basics workshop is a great way to figure out if coding really is for you. Each video and challenge is well explained, and the SheCodes community on Slacks is a good backup for when you're stuck. Matt challenges you by giving you factors on a web page where you need to figure out the code yourself, while teaching you how to google your issues and communicating them through Slacks. All in all, the work shop is the perfect course where you won't commit to a big and more expensive package, but still getting to know the basics and explore your interest more.
It's easy to follow and Matt provides challenging exercises every week. You learn the very basics with this course in an easy and intuitive way. You also have the chat in Slack which I found very helpful when I'm unsure about something in my code.
SheCodes is great if you want to learn coding but don't know where to start. Very friendly and engaging platform to learn and track your progress. Thank you!!! Matt and SheCodes team.

100% recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding. Coding may seem intimidating but Matt breaks these classes down into short videos so it is easy to understand. Whenever I had any problems, Matt and his team answered my queries within 2 hours. I love the fact that after each tutorial video, there is a challenge to work on to ensure that we've understood the lesson. The project was pretty tedious for me but was definitely a fun experience!

I didn't imagine that coding is something that I could ever learn; I have always thought that it is a very complicated subject and only those good in math or "engineers" can understand it. But as I started the lessons I began to see that it can be an interesting and fun experience. SheCodes lessons were divided into a few minutes per topic so the student wouldn’t be overwhelmed. There were challenges at the end of each lesson so it served as a review and to practice what I understood about the topic. Matt is also a great instructor; he was able to explain things very well, in a simple and clear manner. I found myself looking forward to watching each lesson! And to the amazing support of the SheCodes team, where you can readily ask for help in case you get stuck on the assignments that you are working on. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and blessed to be a part of this community.

I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team 👩💻 in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code 💪🏽💪🏽.

This was another excellent workshop. The creation of the weather app was engaging from beginning to end. In each video Matt explained everything really clearly. He was always challenging me to do my best and although it wasn't easy, it wasn't impossible. For a long time I've been passionate to work with software development, but because I hadn't studied a related major in college and being almost 30yo, for times I thought it was too late to get to such career. But when we have passion and determination, we can make anything happen. I started working as a QA, performing manual tests for a software. But manually testing at some point was no longer a challenge for me, so I wanted to dive into developing automation scripts with JS. I found sheCodes basics and I instantly fell in love with Matt's didactics, teaching code in a simple, fun and clear way! That really helped me to get a head start, with a testing tool that uses JS as framework. Further on, I decided to do shecodes Plus + React to keep learning and growing as QA and perhaps become a FE developer. It's been over 3 years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for automation, and I can say I love my job! It's never too late to pursue your passions.
A super and challenging course that made me understand how to make a good website responsive. Matt's explanations were very helpful and it was a lot of fun.
The amount I learned throughout these workshops has been a lot but Matt explained everything well and I can already see how far I've come since taking the Basic course.
I'm starting to gain a lot of confidence in my ability to code. Matt does a great job of going through everything in a way that is possible to follow and he also does a great job reiterating that the solution he is providing is not the only solution. I've noticed a significant shift in how I think about coding. I find it a lot easier to connect past lessons and current ones and even create solutions to problems that we have not discussed. I know I have a future in tech and SheCodes has allowed me to see and believe that I have the ability to do this and also that I am just scratching the surface.
This workshop was really breathtaking. All information was helpful and I learned a lot of cool things about HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, which allowed me to make my own Portfolio Site. I'm happy, and very grateful to SheCodes and Matt personally.
