Matt goes over a lot of information quickly yet effectively! You can definitely spend way more time then the minimum of 5 hours a week. It depends on how quick you work through the challenges. I'm enjoying the courses and I'm excited for the SheCodes Plus workshop!

It was quite challenging. Sometimes I didn't quite understand Matt's explanation or I didn't understand what is he asking from me.
It was an amazing workshop, where I learned how to make a pure responsive landing page using only html and css. I've learned a lot and had so much fun. matt explained everything really well, and it was very easy to understand everything.

I decided to take on this course and it's been great. I used to do programming at my old job, however since I stopped being a software engineer. I noticed I started to slowly forget what I learnt. I took on this course to jog my memory and it helped a lot! I didn't notice how much I missed coding until I did this course. The teaching was fantastic from Matt, the videos along with the tasks to do were so fun. The SheCodes team was amazing and they made sure to answer any questions we had.

I was a little bit worried I wouldn't be able to follow (what's before absolute beginner?), but 3 weeks later I am so glad I went for it! I was immediately hooked by the workshop and looked forward to login in at the end of the day. Matt's lessons are remarkably clear and engaging, and I loved being able to immediately apply my newly acquired knowledge in the exercises. SheCodes allowed me to surprise myself and make myself proud, I had way more fun than I ever thought I would while learning how to code. It's not that complicated, after all!
Time went so quickly whilst doing this course which can only mean one thing.....I LOVED IT!!!! I have always been curious as to how websites are made so when I saw this course I jumped at the chance to do it. Matt does a wonderful job at explaining everything with easy to follow videos and smart little challenges at the end of each section. My advice to everyone is to take lots and lots of notes! Overall a very informative, enjoyable course to do, very happy indeed.
I began the journey, March 2023, of teaching myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript by using various platforms for guidance, but none of them gave me the structure I so needed. I felt as though I was spinning my wheels in tutorial hell, not knowing when enough was enough to proceed forward. This responsive workshop was very challenging and fun to attend. I learn a lot about how to make web pages responsive and had a lot of fun learning how to use grids! At first I had trouble with HTML and being able to remember the codes and how to place them correctly in CSS, but with the help of Matt I was able to understand how to place my code correctly. Not forgetting the slack app he recommended for us to use, it came in very handy when I had challenges especially with my final project.

Before SheCodes I used several free online websites to learn HTML, CSS and javascript, and I have to say I am very impressed with SheCodes. Matt has a very clear way of teaching and also stimulates his students to search online for solutions to their coding problems, which is a very realistic way to enter the programming world and learn how to be independent while coding. With SheCodes Basics, I have discovered a new set of useful tools (e.g. info for CSS color palettes and gradients) that I had never encountered on free online websites. I am looking forward to the next workshops.
