This 3-week course is a great introduction to those who are interested in not only pursuing a career in tech, but also just learning/touching up on basic coding. Wow! This was amazing. Matt is a really good teacher. I loved how all the lessons were broken up in to smaller pieces. It made it less overwhelming and felt like I was flying through it. I took an Introduction to Computer Science class and I did not like the class due to my lecturer's teaching style. Plus has been a ride. I can say I finally get it why developers are always stuck on their screen. Building my weather app was both a challenging and rewarding experience. At first, I felt overwhelmed by all the moving parts—integrating the API, displaying accurate forecasts, and making sure the icons and temperatures worked perfectly. There were moments when I doubted myself, especially when things didn’t display as expected. But through persistence, problem-solving, and a lot of trial and error, I slowly started to piece everything together. Debugging each issue, step by step, helped me grow more confident in my skills. I learned the importance of patience and seeking out solutions, no matter how tricky the problem seemed. By the end of the process, I not only had a functional weather app, but I also felt a real sense of accomplishment. It reminded me that challenges are just opportunities for growth, and with determination, there’s nothing I can’t conquer. I'd like to thank Matt and the team, y'all are amazing. As someone who started with no knowledge of coding, I can now confidently say I've learned so much through SheCodes! The experience has been incredible. Starting this bootcamp was interesting because a lot of what Matt dives in to is great fundamentals in learning the beginner steps of becoming a web developer. You will learn the basics of creating a home page, with light styling, and light javascript. Can't wait to see what else this bootcamp offers me.
I feel so much better equipped for finding work in Web Development after completing this course! The final week and Matt's excellent advice on how to get a job in the industry has given me hope, determination and the motivation I need to pursuit job roles and create connections within the developer community. This course was incredible. I never would have ever believed I could have so much fun doing something like coding, but I loved every minute of it! I've just completed SheCodes Python Basics - and I am so glad I decided to learn with SheCodes. Matt is great, he explains everything clearly, introduces concepts well without using too much tech speak. The course is easy to follow - you can do it as quickly or as slowly as you like - but having a structure, the email reminders and the slack groups make you feel more accountable than your average lesson on Coursera or Udemy. I really liked that the lesson videos are short - anywhere between 5 - 15 mins and then you practice the skills after. This helped me learn quickly and build my confidence so I could play around to see what else I could do. I'm looking forward to completing Python Advanced next!

In the beginning, learning React was quite challenging, especially when creating different components and functions to make everything work. The last time I tried to use HTML was back when I was trying to add color and music to my Myspace! I learned a lot in this course! It was was fun, challenging, and engaging.
