Every new level and new skills I learn just make me even more fascinated with coding. The SheCodes Plus Add-On is definitely not an exception. Pulling real life data and making use of libraries could become complicated but the guidance from Matt had been such a great help in breaking down complicated concepts and understanding them.
The coding program is effective which has provided me with skills and knowledge for web development. Matt is knowledgeable and supportive guiding us throughout. The hands-on approach to learning allowed me to immediately apply what I learned, which solidified my understanding of front-end development concepts. This program has prepared me for the future.

I really enjoyed this workshop. As I keep going, it just cements in me that I can do hard things. Matt is a really great instructor. And I enjoy the fact that he does not edit out his mistakes or comes off as if he knows everything there is. I like that he Googles when he's stuck and acknowledges when he makes mistakes and assures you not to panic if it happens to you. It helps to know that its okay to make mistakes and that there is always a way to fix them.
Honestly, this workshop was not easy, but thanks to instructor Matt and the whole SheCodes team, I was able to advance from basic to more advanced skills. Having no previous coding experience I decided to give SheCodes a go. A great incentive was the 1 hour free workshop with Matt that gave a brief introduction to coding. What a journey! React.js was tedious but once you get the hang of it, wow the things you can create. I really like the way Matt breaks things down, I am a visual learner so being able to follow along and then try things on my own, really helped the learning process. My journey with SheCodes has been amazing but it wasn’t always easy. When I started the responsive design chapter, I thought I would finish it quickly. But life got in the way and it took me longer than expected. Despite the challenges, I stayed focused and kept pushing, even if it was just a little at a time. The SheCodes community and my determination helped me push through. I’m proud to say I finally completed the chapter and earned my certificate. This experience showed me that with hard work and persistence, you can achieve your goals, no matter the obstacles.

After teaching myself how to create a website using WordPress and Divi, I discovered that I really enjoyed it and was eager to learn more, possibly even making it my profession. Really great to have further expanded my knowledge on building out a website page however this time not using Bootstrap and getting more practise with CSS grids. This was something I struggled with earlier in the course therefore I really appreciated Matt adding in these tutorials so I could better understand how to use these and also make them responsive.
