Never in a million years did I think that I would enjoy coding so much! Matt and the team made everything so easy to understand and help was always on hand over on Slack if ever I got into a jam. The challenges were so much fun and I loved creating my own page from scratch for the final project. As a graphic designer I am always asked by clients if I can create web pages and I am so happy that I can finally add coding to my skill set. I highly recommend SheCodes workshops! I've been wanting to learn how to code for years, but had trouble finding the time. I was able to complete this workshop during weekends, and the material is challenging but Matt is able to breakdown complicated topics for beginners to understand. When I was feeling pretty stuck on a couple of homework problems, SheCodes staff was quick to respond and assisted me over Slack. Now that I've completed SheCodes Plus and React, I feel more confident, knowledgeable, and look forward to learning more!
The whole coding journey was fun, exciting and also frustrating haha but rewarding at the end. I wish there's more. The whole team was very helpful, Lexi, Joao and Matt. I'm sad it's the end but super happy I made it to the end of the program!!! yay!!!! Thank you SheCodes Team!!!!
I never thought I had the brains to learn code but the way Matt teaches makes it all seem possible and a lot of fun. I hadn't enjoyed spending this much time in front of a computer in so long and what makes it so amazing is that you learn to create. The classes are super easy to follow and the challenges make you work what you learn in ways only someone who knows so much can do. I can see how this is going to be useful and I'm super happy that SheCodes exists!
This class is so much fun. It's great that you can go through the videos and watch them again. Coding feels like an endless logic puzzle, and Matt is a fabulous instructor. He really takes his time moving through the steps and building the blocks of knowledge for you.
The 3-week course is a great introduction into the world of coding. Matt's way of teaching is very structured and clear. It was also very easy to combine next to my full time role. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to expand their knowledge on HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Though I did not have any academical background knowledge I have always been passionate about having some coding skills. SheCodes program was the perfect solution for me as I was looking for online workshops suitable for a beginner. There was clear objective of each class so I knew what I will be learning each time. Matt was an amazing teacher also. With his explanation I managed to understand concepts that I used to get confused before. Looking forward to having more workshops from SheCodes!
Matt was such a great teacher and all of the videos were easy to follow. He also makes sure to not teach every single thing so that you have to do a bit of research and messing around to figure things out. Also loved how helpful the Slack channel was and never felt put off to ask questions in there

SheCodes React is a great course to take if you want to learn even more about coding and make your CV stand out from the crowd! Thanks to this workshop, I learned about web development and how to apply it in real life. I can't believe I have finished already! Learning to code at SheCodes was such an amazing ride. It is kinda crazy to see this creative project be born from all the hard work and time that you put into developing it. The thing that I liked about the React course specifically is that it is constantly challenging you and your knowledge. It can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time. Matt, you have an amazing team João has always been a great source of knowledge and is so patient and kind. Lexi has also been great by responding quickly and checking in to see how things are going. I highly recommend these workshops to everyone. I'm a little sad the learning here has come to an end.

I was always intrigued by the world of coding, but it looked so hard to learn. I took the free workshop kind of as a joke because I never thought I could learn such a complex language. But then once I saw how Matt taught, I realized I might be able to do it! I absolutely loved everything about how this course was taught. The step-by-step videos, the little tasks at the end of each topic, and the breakdown of coding was so helpful. After I had to leave my old team in Manchester, I searched for new inspiration to improve my Web Design skills and work more towards Front End Development. I really like the way the course has been built and how Matt is explaining everything is very engaging (I won't forget anymore to press the button on the coffee machine, ha!). Looking forward to continue with SheCodes Plus and face new challenges :D
This was the perfect next step after SheCodes Plus, I feel like I expanded my knowledge and was able to get more comfortable with coding in general in addition to experiencing a great introduction to React. Overall the structure of the class is really easy to follow, the videos are just long enough to show the concepts but not so long as to be overwhelming and Matt is great at explaining things in a comprehensive and accessible way. I can't wait to learn even more and I hope to be able to break into a tech career soon using the knowledge I gained from all my SheCodes classes!

SheCodes is the best! I began as a novice with the intro to coding class and quickly fell in love with coding through Matt's easy-to-follow videos and Joao's helpful support on challenges and homework. After graduating from the intro workshop, I immediately enrolled in SheCodes Plus and then SheCodes React. Improving my coding literacy and building the weather app project from scratch has been such an empowering experience. If the SheCodes team ever offers courses on any other coding languages, I will be first in line to sign up!

With SheCodes Plus, the coding finally gets real! You build your first complex project, which is super satisfying. I won't lie; there are also frustrating moments––but Matt's step-by-step explanations and João's constant support really help to keep the frustration at bay. I learned a lot and can't wait to start with React!
I never thought I would of been able to code ! Lessons are short but complete so you don't feel overwhelmed, and Matt's explanations are very clear ! It's such a wonderful language to learn, and I feel so proud. After 3 weeks, I feel like I have accomplished so much ! I'll be joining React+, because I am thinking about changing my career :)
I had never had someone explaining things as clear as Matt did during his webinar. Loved the way he teaches! After that I signed up to the course and it is truly straight forward. I highly recommend this to someone that wants to try how the coding works and also to people that are not devs but want to complement their knowledge (like my case as an Analyst).
I first enrolled in the SheCodes Workshop and was fascinated with everything I learned and the structure of the lessons. Had a great time learning the basics. Definitely is a challenging coarse but the recorded lessons are so useful so I can learn on my own time (while juggling a full time job). Matt keeps it fun!
Really loved this workshop! Matt's videos were simple and concise and very informative without giving that feeling of being overwhelmed. The workshop itself was a reasonable price. There were certain "challenges" that were definitely challenges and google becomes your friend, personally I would do a quick google search and MDN offers a solution but rarely a well explain explanation, here comes SLACK. It was a great place for all of us to bounce our ideas off one another and ask for help for challenges, homework, and the project. Very helpful! There's a sense of pride whenever you complete a challenge or homework and I love that. Coding is also very impressive to those who aren't at all into the world of coding, so to show someone your entire code they're completely floored by it all haha! Would recommend this course to anyone interested in coding.

I have decided that in 2020 I was going to learn everything I've always wanted. Coding was one of those things. I started with a free course, but it was very complicated and fast, so I gave it up. Browsing through internet, I came across SheCodes and watched the free class. By the end of it I was enrolled in the workshop and started it a few days later. It was the best decision ever. Matt is a great instructor, very available and the course is well thought, it is not difficult and you can really learn and apply it. I can't wait to start the next workshop!
This 3-week beginners course has taught me so much, I highly recommend it! Matt is a great teacher and the 24/7 support within the community was very nice to have. Within the final project I thoroughly got to put into practice what I have learned. I will continue with the more advanced workshops very soon!
This SheCodes Beginner workshop was great!!! I liked that it was self-paced so I learned at my own pace/time but that motivated me to stay on top of the lessons weekly. The challenges at the end of the lessons were a good way to put into practice what Matt taught. Overall, I think this workshop is a great place to start and it's definitely peaked my interest in coding. I'm really happy & proud of the page I put together for my final project.
I always found coding interesting but intimidating - SheCodes showed me that only one of those things is true! I enjoyed how Matt broke down the lessons into easily understandable pieces that built upon each other. I highly recommend this course if you're at all interested in learning how to code!

Matt explains coding in a way to me that makes it seem easier to understand than other coding classes I've looked at. It's great to have help through Slack. I wish I was able to learn the terminology and the reasoning as to why some parts of coding are made the way they are, I think that would have made it easier for me when I found the challenges to be difficult at times. I'm glad I pushed through it, it becomes easier to learn once you put everything together and you continuously keep working on your coding. Overall I would recommend taking SheCodes.

Joining SheCodes during the pandemic turned out to be a great idea. REACT is definitely a complicated language but, with the expertise of Matt's videos and the online community built around the program, it's been a fun way to learn something new. I never thought that I'll be able to learn so much in few months. The best part about this course was hands on experience which made me wanted to learn and explore more. I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Matt explains things in a very comprehensible way and shows you exactly what to do as he talks about it. The structure is wonderful because you actually learn instead of just following along. After being shown exactly how to work on the lesson's topic, it forces you to try the problems on your own before you can see the solution but you can still go back and rework it if you need with no sense of shame. I love that I can go at my own pace instead of one dictated by a live class. I am looking forward to the next workshop.

Being someone who tried to learn a programming language before but hitting that inevitable brick wall of syntax, I have to give it to Matt and the rest of the SheCodes team you have created an amazing environment for easing into the world of coding effortlessly and even making it fun!:) Can’t wait to apply for the next course.
I always wanted to understand the logic behind a code and thanks to Matt, i can read HTML, CSS and JavaScript! The videos are really well done, easy to understand and repetitive, so the new things really sink in. I am very thankful to have done the workshop and can recommend it to everyone 🥰
This experience has been amazing for me! I never thought in three short weeks I could actually learn to code. The pace and easy structure of the classes made it a no-stress experience, which I am also very grateful for on top of the great instruction from Matt!
