This course was *so much fun*! Challenging at times, sure, but never too much so because I knew that if I ever needed it, help was just a simple click away. Matt's videos were helpful and fun and the Slack community would respond to any question I had, no matter how stupid it was, within a couple of hours. I really recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into coding. It's so rewarding to see your final project functioning as it's meant to!
I always thought that coding was hard. That was until i took the initiative to sign up for shecodes. The community on slack is absolutely amazing!! Everyone is helpful and learning is easy!! Matt Delac is an absolute genius! The videos are extremly clear and to the point and i found it helpful going back if i didnt get something the first time around!! I highly recommend !!
I had a great 3 weeks learning to code using Matt's simple and effective videos. As a business analyst, I work with Software Developers and have always been interested in understanding more about what they do (and what they are talking about in meetings!). This has given me a great, basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript.

At first I was wary of doing coding. I've always wanted to do it but didn't know if I would enjoy it. When I took Matts free hour class I decided to jump fully in and I have loved every minute of it. His course is just the right amount of teaching but also a challenge to where you need to figure it out on your own. I liked that the groups on slack where available 24/7 where you can ask questions or see other student questions that could help you get through the course. I really enjoyed this class and cant wait to begin shecodes plus!

When I started the introduction workshop I had zero experience with HTML, CSS & Java Script. 3 weeks later I've learned how to code my own web page and have a new understanding of web design. Matt is a great teacher and explains everything super clearly, I'm really looking forward to joining the next SheCodes workshop!
I have been wanting to learn to code for while but was always nervous that I wouldn't be able to do it!! Matt and SheCodes proved me wrong :) I really enjoyed all of the lessons and challenges and couldn't believe how much I was able to learn in just a single week! This course in, without exaggerating, the best course I have ever taken. For MANY reasons. I have no background in the Tech. I never had ANY interest in it either, until a couple of weeks ago. I love how flexible, pedagogic and mind-blowing this course is. For me, someone with zero experience, it was a bit TERRIFYING to start coding, but this course is almost impossible not to pass. The instructions are smooth to follow. Lessons are short, informative, and bring lots of value. Challenges are in line with lessons. This entire course is divided into shorter sessions, making it so smooth to learn. I cannot believe how much I have learned in under three weeks - it is INSANE! If someone would have told me few months ago that I would be able to create a webpage using HTML, CSS and JavaScript all on MY OWN, I would never believe them. And this was just a Introduction Workshop! I am looking forward to starting the next workshop! If you are hesitating, if you have second thoughts, DO NOT. SheCodes Plus was not easy but I learnt so much from this course and it gave me an edge over my classmates in my engineering course. Matt was a great teacher and his videos were very easy to understand. The programmers in slack were also very helpful in answering all my questions. I hope that this will be of help when I apply for my professional internship.

I have wanted a future in tech and I didn't know where to begin, everything seemed too intimidating. After the free trial with Matt, I got a better sense of my fear and decided to give SheCodes a try. I'm really glad I did. I spent hours on troubleshooting and restructuring because it was fun, not because I had to. Dedicating the time is key and so worth it.
This course gave me so much confidence and the ability to do things I couldn't do before - given how affordable it is it's a bit unbelievable how much you are taught. Matt explains things in an easy to understand way and the whole things is organised so each piece of new information builds on the last piece, so you never feel like you are learning too much at once that you can't connect to what you already know. I honestly think everyone should do the basics course even if they think they can't - I think you'll surprise yourself.
I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have learned so much in just a three-week workshop. I started out more or less knowing only that HTML, CSS and JavaScript were things that exist in the world and now, I'm building full pages using all three. I am so happy I decided to take the SheCodes basics course! I learned so much in the short time and loved the hands-on way Matt teaches to code. It was so interesting coming from a background in UX UI Design to see how that translates into front-end development. Excited to continue learning!
A great introduction course for learning the basics and really suited my learning style. The lessons were very thorough and Matt provided great explanations and framing of coding concepts. The challenges covered concepts discussed in the lessons but sometimes required a little extra research; all great preparation to learn how to solve problems and utilize the countless resources online.
SheCodes is perfect if you don't want to spend hours on watching videos on how to code, Matt made short but informative videos that made it easier to understand and fun to learn!
If someone had told me a few years ago that I will be doing 4 frontend development online courses in a year with a World pandemic, I just wouldn't believe it. But the truth is: here am I, just finishing the last one. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. I loved SheCodes-Basic! Before I started, I didn't know anything about coding whatsoever and I was always a little intimidated by it. Great course for beginners and as a refresher for me since I had used HTML and CSS in the past, and great to learn Javascript as well. The lessons are short and the course is very hands-on with small challenges to complete along the way. Also Matt gave some good tips on how to set up VS Code and how to keep your code clean. Overall a good experience!
Completing SheCodes Plus has been an amazing, challenging, and beneficial addition to my present and future self. I am gaining skills in and for an industry that I never thought I would consider seriously delving into and I appreciate Matt and his other associates for creating such an educational platform that are very well informed, and well preparing for perspective tech and/or non-tech women like me. SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to front-end development for me. Although I'd rather have live classes, so it would feel more interactive, Matt's videos were clear and to the point, and I had no issues solving my doubts by searching the documentation. This is an awesome workshop for someone who wants to dive in to HTML, CSS and JavaScript if they don't have that much experience!

Building a weather app was super challenging and at the same time super rewarding. SheCodes does a great job at guiding you through the process of building your first application. Among all the other virtual self-study courses, SheCodes Basic course is one of the best courses I've participated within 5 years! Everything was coordinated super-smoothly, all the necessary information was provided before and during the study, I got help when I asked it, Matt's way of teaching suited me very well and I had just enough time to learn and submit my homework. As a French philologist, yet being an Estonian native speaker, I've always thought that coding is only for the people who understand higher math. Well, I've never would have guessed that coding is very similar to learning a foreign language. And moreover, it's fun! SheCodes has made it very easy for me to learn how to code without so much struggle. I specifically like the step to step guideline approach that Matt uses to teach. I like how we started off by writing codes on code pen then slowly moved to VsCode editor, all of which one could access just by a click of a button. So far, it has been an exciting Learning experience and I cannot wait to learn more!
I enjoyed the Basics Course very much! It's very dynamic and interactive and Matt is a great instructor! What I liked the most is that the lessons are short and are followed by challenges where we have to apply what we just learnt.

I wanted to learn coding but I always thought it was complicated to learn. That’s not true at all! Matt makes it so easy to understand, and the practical exercises give you time to try and learn at your own pace. There’s a great team and an amazing community that can help you whenever you feel stuck with the coding as well, and I think that keeps you motivated 💗. This was my “summer challenge”, to learn something new. Now I’m able to code my own projects using HTML, CSS, and JS !!
This is my third SheCodes workshop and I cannot say it has not been challenging, especially with a full time job. However, I have enjoyed React as much as the previous courses. Matt is an excellent teacher and the material of this course is extremely well presented. This was a pretty neat introduction to coding! 😎 I'm super glad I took this course. I just wish Matt explained things in a little more detail😕. I know I should get used to googling things. But, I found myself doing this too often at the end of a lesson. For a class that I paid for, I feel like he should have gone into more detail. 😅 but I really enjoyed it, over all! The pace was *perfect* and it was super easy to pick up the info!
I wasn't new to coding but learning it always felt so overwhelming... That's before I joined SheCodes. The classes are very thorough and Matt explains everything step-by-step. So there's no pressure, but at the same time you learn lots! Also it has a very organised process, which makes it even more helpful. Lockdown got me thinking of trying new things and I thought about giving coding a chance. I stumble upon SheCodes and immediately sign up for SheCodes Basic Workshop. Thanks to Matt for making easy as he breaks down the lessons into small puzzle pieces and less intimidating especially for beginners. Making the real-life project was so much fun as well as I am a person who's up for a new challenge 💪. Definitely a perfect platform for those absolute beginners!
I've tried several online coding programs before. All the programs were difficult to understand and did not last long. I easily got lost and couldn't ask for help. SheCodes curriculum is very transparent and well-organized! It’s an online course, so I can stop anytime and repeat when I need. In my opinion, who teaches you is the most important thing. Matt is the amazing instructor I've ever seen. I've never felt myself looking forward to working on lessons and assignments every day.
I am so happy to have found the SheCodes Basics program! At first I thought this would be so complicated because it's not LIVE and I wasn't gonna get my questions answered right away but Matt makes it so easy to understand and also gets you used to the idea of resolving things on your own by knowing how to research.

I had no experience with coding at all and I didn't have any interest in learning it as I have a friend who does coding and it just looked complicated. But I saw SheCodes ad by accident and the first things that caught my eyes were the colour of the website and the word "She". I decided to attend the free class and I remember Matt saying that he built this community because of the lack of female representatives in the tech industry. This is what actually pushed me to go ahead and try the basic workshop. I am very happy with that decision because I realised that it's fun and not too complicated and now I have basic experience in coding! Before starting this workshop, building a React application seemed very daunting to me. With great examples and explanations from Matt, even this advanced workshop was made fairly easy to understand and execute. It is challenging at times but I was determined. From having no coding experience a couple of months ago to now having completed this React workshop, I now have more knowledge and experience in coding than I could have ever imagined having in this short amount of time. I have been on and off again with learning JS. I decided to join SheCodes after reading many reviews left from other women. I like the fact that this platform is solely on women learning how to code therefore I decided to jump in and join. I enrolled in the Plus workshop and I just completed Coding Basics and I am already loving it. The course consists of several videos by Matt which are followed by relevant challenges. If you have never written a line of code before in your life like me, then this is a good place to get started.

An Amazing journey!!! It took me back to my Uni days and stole my heart again. I studied Masters in Computer Science in the past. I couldn't pursue my dream yet. This was a great crash course in coding! I feel like I've learned so much. Matt's videos provide a great step-by-step guide that are easy to follow 😃
SheCodes responsive was pretty fun! Again, Matt made the content fairly easy to follow. I think building a responsive website is an important skill, and now I can tell why some websites don't look that great on a smaller screen. Excited to get onto the next course!
I started this workshop with high hopes and I was definitely not disappointed with SheCodes.I loved how Matt explained everything step by step and besides, it's not all practice but also tips that can help you to program better, I would definitely think about getting the next level of workshop.
Matt has an incredibly skilled way of breaking things down into bite sized pieces and making coding easy. I love that he doesn't just focus on teaching the coding concepts, but also on how to be resourceful if you do run into trouble (ie. even the most experienced coders Google things! You do not need to memorize every language). He doesn't edit his typos out of the videos-- which is also comforting, because it demonstrates that no matter how good the coder is, mistakes happen and that's ok. I signed up for the full package, and I'm very much looking forward to continuing on! :)
It has been a very rewarding learning experience for me in the past three weeks! Also, the learning process is quite enjoyable! I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who has just been in the field. Thanks, Matt!!
Again and again, I had so much fun learning coding from SheCodes. It was so amazing to see myself learn a lot from this course in such a short time. It was an exciting and motivating experience for me! The most valuable thing here at SheCodes is practice. Highly recommend SheCodes Workshops! Even to folks, like myself, with little to no prior knowledge at all! Personally, I found Matt's teaching to be very clear and extremely easy to follow. Their lesson challenges and homework were immensely helpful in further reinforcing newly gained knowledge and learnings. Learned a great deal about coding! One solid Coding workshop it was!
