I really loved the 3 weeks spent on the Basics course! It was well paced and Matt was a great teacher. He broke down the concepts into digestible short videos that were easy to follow. The challenges allows us to apply what was learnt immediately after which helps to consolidate the learning as well as address any misunderstandings of how the function works! The team was really prompt with queries and were super friendly which makes it a very welcoming learning environment:)
I've been wanting to learn coding for so long and I am glad I started with SheCodes. To me it is vital to be able to learn in my own pace and SheCodes is perfect for that. This was my 4th SheCodes Workshop and I loved it just as much as the other three. I learned heaps of new things and figuring out how to make webpages responsive has definitely been a game-changer for me - can't wait to work on other projects too! As usual, the Slack community has been very helpful and it was great being able to get an extension when I got into some time constraints due to parenting life. Before applying for coding, I was not completely sure that I'll understand coding very well at this coding workshop. I also suggest this workshop to my friends who were looking for coding. I'm also glad that a person who create this website is to encourage women to be a part of technological field. I would say that it was so great full to learning from Matt. He did a great job over all. I understand him very well, the way he teaches.
I started with SheCodes Basics a few months back and really enjoyed the class and everything I was learning, Matt does a good job of explaining things and letting you see his work as he goes. I've made the time to go through the current three other courses available. Finishing SheCodes Plus was challenging, but really fun and I feel more aware of what goes on behind the curtain now. I look forward to starting SheCodes Responsive and React next!
I have learned so much so far! Matt has done a great job designing this responsive course. He does well explaining . I really enjoy the video speed feature! Matt provides plenty of resources to help! Slack is a great asset. Your questions are answered quickly. I have searched specific questions many times and have always been able to find the answer from other students challenges and homework assigments. That is another great feature, that you are able to view other student's work! I benefit greatly from seeing other code. I may be a coding-newb, but SheCodes has brought me to another level! Keep calm - Code on!

The format of the course makes it really easy to manage and play out each lesson. Yet Matt doesn't always disclose everything you need to know, prompting you to think and learn to find solutions. This course is fun, creative and has opened a world of future possibilities.
This workshop has proven to be extremely helpful and user friendly. I highly recommend this program to anybody who is brand new to coding as Matt's teaching method is the most coherent and comprehensive out there. He simplifies the material very effectively making learning both fun and engaging.
Gets a little challenging sometimes but Matt's videos are very detailed and with the use of slack I was able to gain and learn more throughout this course.

SheCodes is an easy and enjoyable way to start your coding journey. Matt explains everything very understandably and the challenges and projects really make you use the learned theoritcal knowledge.
The lessons are quick and easy to follow. I've managed to complete this 3 week course as well as working a 42 hour job, going to the gym and having a social life. Matt explains clearly and in a good level of detail so that you can follow and remember the steps. I feel like I have obtained a great knowledge from the basic course which I can apply in my career going forwards.
I really loved working on my portfolio. Sometimes it was very challenging but Matt explained everything so well. Thank you so much!

I highly recommend this workshop for anyone who has interest to learn coding. I have attended the classroom workshop for SheCodes Basic back in 2019 (Lisbon) and before starting SheCodes Plus had doubts about it being online but enjoyed it as much as the classroom one. It was an (really!) intense 8 weeks, long nights, so much to learn, apply and submit but at the same time had great fun and enjoyed it a lot. The workshop is an amazing opportunity to learn the basics of coding in a wonderfull atmosphere! Incredible beginner-friendly course with a great teacher. Matt explains things clearly and teaches you how to think not just what to do. I have learned a ton, had a lot of fun, and increased my web development abilities and confidence. I created my own Weather App! I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start their journey toward web development.
Learning with SheCodes is fun! The videos and challenges are well tailored, perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. I simply loved progressing further in the lessons building towards the final project. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is doing a fantastic job answering any additional questions. It's so nice to move forward with the learning material at the own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It was a real joy to learn about APIs, Netlify, Git and so much more in this course.
This course was a great introduction to React for me! There was a lot of information and new things to learn, but it was divided into manageable lessons that made it easy to progress steadily without being overwhelmed. Matt shows everything step by step, which I really appreciated.
Honestly, joined SheCodes without hesitation right after I watched Matt's promotional video about the organization and I haven't looked back since! After each lesson I felt empowered, like I could do anything! SheCodes demystified the world of coding for me & ignited my new found love for it ♥
This workshop was quite fun! It was so cool to start from an empty canvas and end up with a fully functioning weather app. Seeing it change every week was the best! Eventough the workshop is fully online, the homework deadlines really help you stay on track. And when facing any problem there is lots of fast support from everyone on Slack (and also Dr. Google 😂). I cannot believe how much I have accomplished in a few short weeks. I have come from a nursing background so this is all completely brand new to me. Matt breaks lessons down into small and achievable sessions so it's not too overwhelming and gives you plenty of opportunity to practice. I keep showing my friends and family what I can do already and they cannot believe it as I am really not a 'techy' person. Anyone who is nervous about taking that first step, don't be! You won't regret it :)

What a ride! I have to admit that the JS-part of SheCodes Plus was very tricky and I needed to rewatch Matt's instructions over and over again. Also having access to the source code helped as a last resort sometimes (damn you, missing semicolons and curly brackets!). But ultimately I overcame those difficulties and now I am super happy (and super proud) to have my own personal weather application! I really enjoyed coding alongside Matt again and can't wait to continue with SheCodes Responsive. Thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

Great first step into coding. Covers the very basic notions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I liked Matt's explanations a lot. It's nice to have deadlines and small tasks along the way to practice. Since it's cheap, basic, flexible and well explained, I definitely recommend to enrol without thinking twice about it for those who don't know how to begin their coding journey. I had done several free 1h online coding classes before, including SheCode's, so the whole workshop seemed pretty intuitive. I got all 3 weeks done in 4 days and then took more time to submit the final project.

Love that Matt walks you logically through each step of the coding fundamentals. It's super beginner-friendly and the challenges that follow each exercise help to put to practice what you learn. The SheCodes team is amazing and very prompt in answering general questions about the workshop as well as troubleshooting when you get stuck (which you inevitably will, but that's all part of the coding process!).

I started my career in the tech industry two years ago, and since day 1 I’ve had the benefit of meeting and interacting with many talented and inspiring developers. Their passion and enthusiasm for coding is what ultimately motivated me to challenge myself and pursue this course as I’ve been wanting to learn and understand coding for many years. The SheCodes Basics Workshop has been an insightful, challenging and joyful learning experience and one of my personal highlights this year. The lessons are like puzzles, with some trickier than others, but all of them really put your logic and creativity to the test in a fun and challenging way. Yet another mile stone for me as I complete the SheCodes responsive workshop with shecodes.io. If asked when I started, if I was going to achieve these much just within a couple of weeks, I would have doubted it hands down. But matt brought in the magic wand in his teaching technics and all of a sudden “everything is possible if you put your mind to it. lol” To all the SheCodes team, an ocean full of thanks for making this a reality. One thing I am taking to till the end of this career part that I have chosen is that, learning is constant, and to that, I say, On to the next phase.

My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me.
