Can't believe I just completed my 4th SheCodes Workshop! This has been a wonderful experience and I have grown so much. At times I doubted myself if I could really learn web development but the community has kept me inspired and motivated. I feel confident in my skills as a developer and I'm looking forward to where these new skills can take me in my career! Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team!

I love SheCodes! I was really nervous before starting this workshop, because I knew nothing about coding! But Matt's lessons were so easy to follow and the challenges were really fun to complete! Now thanks to SheCodes, I've discovered a new hobby, and possibly a stepping stone to a career related to coding 😁.
I really enjoyed the freedom of learning on my own schedule. With SheCodes I was able to start on any Monday of the month. I really enjoyed how Matt took the time to help us solve the problem, without feeling rushed. As a person that is new to UX Design, I found this workshop to be helpful in learning basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
I've now gotten to complete all of the currently available SheCodes Courses and I have had an amazing time learning how to use HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, and JS React. I can't wait to keep moving forward, thank you Matt and team!

I loved SheCodes so much! Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. The project was SO fun and I found it very easy to apply what I've learned to create my page. I'll definitely be taking a more advanced course in the future.
SheCodes has been an amazing journey. SheCodes Basics has simply been the best place for me to actually learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We used real tools, and thus got to work in the environment that professionals operate in. Lessons are very hands-on and you need to use the knowledge you've learnt in a lesson in the next challenge, so you have to pay attention. It is no problem though, because Matt keeps it very fun, up-beat and engaging. I would highly recommend SheCodes for any girl/woman/lady+++ who wants to learn how to code.
These weeks have been challenging, humbling too, intense, and super fun! SheCodes and Matt make this journey a very special experience, and I dare to say-life changing. The 'ecossystem' created-the team support, the community of coders, the radio to keep you motivated, and SheCodes Foundation are remarkable, they state an example for other companies. Highly recommend SheCodes Basics, it requires some time management if you're working too, but it is totally manageable, so take the risk, you definitely won't regret it.
This was my last workshop with SheCodes and a great addition to the Basics, Plus and React. Building responsive websites is the future. You will learn so many new things. I highly recommend it as Matt explains everything in detail and the final project is so much fun.
The past 2.5 weeks have been really rewarding! 🙌🏼 Never had I thought that I will be able to code a webpage in such a short period of time. 👩🏻💻 Kudos to Matt and all the supportive team members on Slack! 👏 I really appreciate how the lessons were thoughtfully crafted out in bite-sized pieces, and how there is a challenge after most lessons to ensure that we understood what was taught. Before I thought it can be difficult and boring for me,but I was completely wrong.Sometime I was confused about CSS or JavaScript but I always found help in our Slack chat and step by step I learn how to code. I always thought coding was beyond me as it looked quite complex and overwhelming at first, but going through the course SheCodes Basics by Matt you learn step by step and break it down into smaller chunks. To me, it is liken to putting puzzle pieces together to form that bigger picture you had in mind! I highly recommend it as it challenges you to be creative and persevering. Also, it definitely opens up new doors for your career! 😁

Simply amazing! I cant believe I learned how to code a basic webpage in two and a half weeks. The last time I ever manipulated a HTML was to add music on MySpace in 2005. I did not think that I would be able to pick up this skill so quickly but with Matt's guidance and thorough explanation through each solution I was able to practice and produce a functional visible code starting from a blank page.
Another workshop finished 😊 , Can't explain how happy I am . I had a great time .. I’ve always wanted to learn web development and chose SheCodes because it allowed me to learn anytime. As a full time working parent, finding an online course that I could fit into my schedule was really important. I was able to learn a lot and put it together to create project, something I wasn’t able to do with other online tutorials. Matthew does a great job of explaining everything. I would highly recommend.
I found this course well-paced and full of content, which made me really want to step up to the challenge. I can't believe how much I have learned in such a short space of time, thanks to Matt's clear teaching, the gradual build-up style of the course and the supportive community hivemind on Slack. The videos are well-detailed and helpful; during the difficult moments when my code breaks up/won't run, going back to calmly re-watch the videos, repeatedly if necessary, always helped me to identify my mistakes. I would highly recommend SheCodes and I'm so happy that I took the leap to dive into the world of coding! I've always found coding very intimidating and hard to get into. However Matt really breaks down and explains each lesson articulately so it's easy to understand. Then doing the challenges really helps solidify that I understood each lesson. SheCodes Plus is a highly recommended program. It covers all the aspects of web devlopment in detail. I really enjoyed this course and learning react. It was not the easiest to learn, but Matt is very good at explaining and helping people learn at their own pace. I would definitely recommend this course to any beginners.
I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

Matt is really good at his explanation: clear yet simple to easily understand. I think anyone with Excel skills (especially skills in functions) is likely to have advantages of understanding Javascript & CSS quicker since they share some similarities.

Matt is an engaging instructor, and the lessons are easy to understand and put into practice while remaining on track. There's a number of coding tools for self-service. The customer success team and teaching assistants provide support and encouragement when needed. There's also a global community of students available to help. If you're slightly curious about coding, I highly recommend it!

Is it possible to work full-time and do a SheCodes course? Yes, but you have to put in the extra work and you have to code every week, at least every second day to stay inside the loop. This is my second SheCodes course and I really enjoy learning with Matt’s videos. Things start to get a little more complicated now, but I am excited about what’s coming next and how everything I’ve learned is intertwining. Coding is creative and code is poetry.
SheCodes basic is a great way to learn what coding is. Some tasks almost drove me crazy, but Matt's repetition that coding is fun kept me going. Some tasks include elements which were not talked about in the videos. This was a great way to use learned information. I am thankful to Matt and the Team for this course!
Matt's instructional videos were short, but concise and easy to follow. I loved that there is a community to ask for help and that after you submit and assignment there is a video with the solution for you to check your work.

Matt is a good teacher. You can feel he is passionate about coding in his teaching. (no teacher can be better than one who loves what he's doing!) Class content is well-structured and -designed, one thing at a time, many practical techniques are taught. The way how each specific code works is explained clearly.
SheCodes is different from other options I’ve tried because of the community behind it, plus Matt is a great teacher. I learned lot of thing through the SheCodes and I am able to design simple web application and forward thinking to learn more from all. Been taking this program alongside another Bootcamp program and trust me, Matt gave me such an easy time all along. Super fun and well-structured course! I finally feel like I know what I'm doing while using HTML and CSS, and because of this I was able to use my creativity and design my own website. It can be really frustrating when something breaks, but so satisfying when you get it to work again. I definitely had trouble with JavaScript in SheCodes Plus so I'm excited to get more practice in with React. Thanks Matt!
I have had a lot of fun coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through this introductory workshop of SheCodes. I have learned not only about coding, but I also had the chance to play with visualization for my homework as well as my final project. Matt's instruction is quite easy to understand and follow up. I hope that I will have a lot more fun with my upcoming workshops on SheCodes.

I've always felt like a have a thing for coding but never actually had the courage or time to explore this passion, until I found SheCodes! The lessons are brief, so neatly organized, logically flowing from one concept to the next. Matthieu's explanatory videos are very clear and make it easy to learn this new language. The challenges at the end of each lesson are also really fun! I think I'll be continuing this journey with more advanced courses with SheCodes.

I enjoyed participating in the SheCodes Basics workshop. Before signing up for the SheCodes React workshop package I looked around at a lot of different virtual learning options and was more drawn to the overall look and feel of SheCodes. I like that it seems approachable. That may feel small to someone more experienced, but for me it made all the difference. The lessons are broken down into easily digestible subsections, are very concise, and build upon the prior lesson so one gains a cumulative skillset without even acknowledging it. Additionally, Matt is easy to listen to and unintentionally funny. Having open access to the SheCodes slack channels is also an amazing learning tool. It's easy to get caught up and bogged down in the minutiae of whatever one may be building/debugging. Reading thru the slack and testing other people's code can help one to look at their own project differently with new eyes. I'm honestly really proud of what I made for this final project with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
SheCodes has definitely been so enjoyable, I started the workshops for my love of tech and women empowerment. And I got that and more. For someone who has a Marketing degree and no experience in coding, Matt's learning style makes even a beginner feel welcomed, and the content easy to digest.

I started learning to code a few months ago and I can not believe how much I have learned in just a few weeks! The topics in the videos are perfectly broken down, Matt is a great teacher and makes everything so understandable, and the Slack community is a great help. It is a lot of hard work, and I have both cursed and cried during the past 8 weeks. But the feeling when everything finally works is so rewarding and makes it all worth it! I was worried to start studying coding because I'm coming from a completely different area (physiotherapy). Before this course, I was looking to develop new hard skills for my career. I signed up for this course on a whim, never having had ANY prior experience nor exposure to coding. I truly had no idea what to expect. So I told myself "let me just try this and see where it goes". And it was one of the best decisions I've made for my self-development! Matt is an excellent teacher, and he balances just the right amount of teaching & challenging you to find your own answers. At times, I got very frustrated with learning Javascript in particular (it honestly looked like gibberish at first), but like learning any new language, it comes more naturally with time and repetition. This course was very empowering, and has opened up a whole new world for me. I had so much fun! I highly recommend to any women looking to develop new skills for their current career, or women even considering a career change. I am a woman who wears so many hats, and the way the course is structured is perfect for me. The chapters are not overwhelming, and Matt is a very good teacher. Community support is also a big plus as if you're stuck; it doesn't take long to get help. The assignments are very practical applications of the concept discussed in each chapter. I had to extend my classes many times because of different circumstances, and the program was flexible enough to finish the course at my own pace. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn how to code. I am looking forward to my next workshop, SheCodes Plus! 😉

Coding has become my obsession lately and during this workshop, I have enjoyed so much creating my portfolio and bringing to life responsive websites. As I have always said each step of the way, Matt is a great teacher, he teaches to deal with frustration when things don't go as expected and find other ways to solve whatever challenges your facing. I'm very excited to see what's next 😃
It was a challenging workshop when your working fulltime, and have normal things going on in life,( unexpected events, people, things) happening in life, but all that being said it was fascinating, learning the languages, and what your able to do with them, pretty damn coo! I want to continue my journey with coding, but now with a more realistic view of what it going to take, and you need to carve out more time then what is said for the programs, like I timed myself every week for the 3 week course, and even though it says 5 hours, it ended up being closer to 10 hours per week, and 5 for the last week. Matt did a good job, although some of the courses I feel like he went a little to fast for beginner level learners. All in all i enjoyed this process.
SheCodes is really great i cannot believe what i have been able to learn. Javascript has always been a roadblock for me but the trainer Matt has helped me see them as pebble😀. I am grateful to the SheCodes foundation!
