It's been great learning how to code from Matt. I feel like I've learned more from Matt than from some of the coding courses that I had to take for university. The weather app has been really fun to learn (frustrating at times) but I look forward to going back to learn it again from Matt and personalizing my weather app better for my portfolio. I truly recommend anyone who is interested in coding or wants to be better at it. I am booked in for the SheCodes Plus React next and I cannot wait already! Thanks so much, Matt and his team!

Proud of how much I was able to learn despite the stigma of how difficult coding appears to be to the untrained eye. Matt is a very personable instructor with French flair who doesn't leave his students hanging. Each step is explained clearly and succinctly, and the challenge's solution revealed after your first attempt. Just follow instructions and code along. You can do it!

This workshop pushed me to constantly reflect on and improve my code. When building the weather app, you get the chance to go beyond the project requirements and use some of the coding techniques you learn during the workshop to code features that aren't required like a location button, a unit converter, a timezone-accurate time display and more! Coding these features by myself without being able to rely on Matt's vanilla code helped me learn how to create and use my own functions.
SheCodes has helped me feel more confident about my knowledge in HTML and CSS, since it's been over ten years since I've touched it. Matt and his team have made it easy for me to understand and eased me into JavaScript, which I have very little knowledge of. I highly recommend anyone new to coding and programming language to take this course.

I never thought that it would be so much fun to create a website by myself. I have long been interested in how to program such pages and SheCodes is the perfect training platform for self-study. This course was fun and challenging and I loved it. Very flexible which I truly enjoyed being a mother of two. The structure, support from the SheCodes team, and the help through the Slack program were incredible. Same as SheCodes Basic and Plus, I had a wonderful experience with SheCodes Responsive. I improved my HTML and CSS skills and learned how to build responsive websites. As always, Matt was super helpful and made every lesson fun.

I was initially nervous about taking on learning to code as it seemed complicated, but I wanted to give it a go. SheCodes is an amazing place to start learning, Matt is a great teacher and breaks it down so well - he also compares it to real life scenarios sometimes which makes it easier to understand. You have plenty of time to learn and submit homework/projects while maintaining work/life balance. I love what I have learnt so far and plan on upgrading to a bigger course.

The Plus course was really difficult yet fun. I felt that it was a huge jump from the Basic to this. Just to make one function work, I spent hours and hours. In the end, it was worth doing! I wish I could have added some advanced features to my weather app but I feel accomplished. I learned so many things from Matt and other students. It'd have been tougher without them.

I was looking to enhance my professional skills and a colleague of mine recommended I start learning how to code. I was very skeptical, because I have absolutely no background training in coding!! But they were confident that I code learn if I put in the work. By the time I signed up for SheCodes and committed myself to the process, I became more optimistic in my ability to learn how to code. I love the direct and to the point lessons. Being able to complete the challenges immediately after learning the material is very helpful and seeing Matt work through the solution is great! SheCodes Plus is challenging but worth it. Learning how to design and develop a weather app left me feeling very accomplished. Matt does very well at going through every step of the process in detail.
I absolutely loved my time with SheCodes! I'd previously never considered pursuing coding, but the course helped me realize I actually really enjoy it. The lessons were easy to understand and just the right length. Matt's instructions are clear and so helpful; it's like having a private tutor! Overall I'd recommend trying SheCodes if you're interested in learning more about coding and tech.
I love how Matt breaks down everything you need to know but also stretches you just enough so you have to figure things out on your own. The rest of the SheCodes team is super helpful and easy to get ahold of when you're stuck.
SheCodes+ definitely took things on another level. Sometimes I unconsciously felt that this is getting too complicated by using the same simple tools of HTML, CSS and JS which Matt introduced in SheCodes Basic, but he mentioned several times that there are other advanced tools like React to get the same result easier, but this is meant to really dive deep into basics and to get to the level when things finally clicked and you profoundly understand some coding concepts you have been lost in previously. Even though coding here was a lot of fun, needless to say sometimes it got little frustrating and very time-requiring. As a perfectionist I used Google a lot, as I wanted include things there were no time to explain in main videos. I will for sure continue with other courses, as I can already see how this become more and more interesting!
I signed up for Matt's SheCodes free workshop totally on a whim one night when I was in the process of an entire life overhaul. Watching Matt code brought me back to my Neopets "coding" days when I'd create personal pages for my Neopets profile using AskJeeves for help on what I was doing. Something reignited in me and I realized that I missed the puzzle that is coding. After I attended that workshop, I signed up for the SheCodes Basics class. I had so much fun learning and relearning coding through this course. Not only did I have so much fun learning, I had a blast (are you allowed to say that about what is considered homework?" completing my final project for this course. I am so proud of my final project and hope to continue my coding journey in the future!

SheCodes Plus was such a great experience. Matt would say "Okay, this will be fun!" right before he did something very complicated and he was right! He brought us through step-by-step and made every concept very clear. If there was something I didn't understand, I could always go back and watch the video again or reference the Slack channel. I can't wait to continue to the next workshop. Everyone should do this.
It's not easy, but Matt and the team make it very inviting. With patience, awesome video instructions, challenges with an answer key, and a solution video for each, it makes it possible to learn how to code. One thing that I really liked is how Matt doesn't edit out his mistakes in the videos. Instead, he shows you that he too, with all his experience, makes mistakes and shows you how he goes about fixing them. That makes me feel much better about making mistakes and makes me more confident to find a solution. I really enjoy these courses. They are not easy, but the learning process for anything new never is. I would highly recommend these courses to anyone who wants to learn how to code.
I once thought coding was too complex for me to even attempt to study prior to enrolling with SheCodes. However, after learning and working on the materials during SheCodes Basics workshop, with Matt's very easy-to-follow instructions, along with the great help from the technical assistants and fellow students, I have come to understand that coding can also be fun and informative. I'm very happy to have finished my first landing page!
Having no experience in coding and starting from scratch I am surprised at the information I have learned in the past few weeks. Matt does a great job in his videos of teaching different topics and other tips and tricks to make coding more efficient and enjoyable. I must say I have avoided this field because I did not think I had what it took to grasp the information, but after this experience I think I can see myself wanting to go further and potentially see this as a career option.
