I loved this workshop! I plan on taking the React workshop after this. I am a product manager and manager of our engineers, so having a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Java is already helping me communicate more confidently with my team.

I'm so grateful for this course. It wasn't always easy but the challenge is half the game. Trying to find the right answers in the previous lessons, the world wide web, and if all fails then dear João is there to set your code straight. In coding, the devil really is in the detail. One little single quote missing and the entire function, possibly several, will be affected. I love coding!
Loved it as much as the SheCodes Workshop. A lot harder than the first one but also very easy to understand and follow. BEST FEATURE: The Slack Community and around the clock help from Joao!
This was such a smooth process at your own pace! It's a great way to learn HTML, CSS and JS at the same time. The Slack channel is a great resource, and I love that Matt gives you small challenges on every lesson.
I love that this program is mostly self paced. You do have deadlines to keep you on track but it is doable. Matt explains the material simply and easy to understand. Make sure to take notes during the videos to compare your work.
Love the SheCodes format, it's manageable around full time work and family commitments with easy to digest modules and feels really empowering to be able to achieve so much within an area that is often made to feel out of reach.

Learning how to build a weather app in React has been an exciting, challenging, and rewarding experience! I loved being able to implement new features in my React weather app that I wasn't able to in my first vanilla JavaScript app. I especially found the Slack chat group to be extremely helpful whenever I got stuck. SheCodes has definitely inspired me to further pursue a career in software development!

SO MANY FEELINGS: so happy because it was a super fun journey through all these courses, but sad because it is over :) :( . This one was a real challenge, but as always Matt was able to explain and demonstrate everything perfectly. I am very happy that I had discovered SheCodes in this last summer, and I cannot be more thankfull to Matt and the whole team for having created and maintained this academy. Never in my life I would though to become passionate about frontend development. In my few years of experience, I always loved the backend component, and hated the frontend. Never understood CSS or HTML, and was scare to engage in the React thing. But after this experience I learned A LOT and actually have decided to try to change my career to be more frontend"ish" . I truly and deeply advise every women who wants to improve their frontend technicall skills to enjoy this amazing journey. Be safe!

SheCodes was an amazing experience for me. I learned so much and now have additional skills that I can proudly add to my resume. SheCodes Workshops has been quite a ride... The react workshop is the final lap of a road and undoubtedly the most challenging and rewarding one. It is unbelievable how much can be learned during 5 months with the adequate direction, and guidance from tutors who absolutely love their work and share not only their knowledge but passion about it. I feel now passionate myself about the new brave coding world. Amazing.
I loved all the SheCodes Workshops, from the first basic one to React. Over a period of just a few months I went from knowing nothing about coding to creating my own App and had a lot of fun doing it! Matt is a great teacher and every time I needed I got help from Joao on Slack! Thanks a lot to all the SheCodes team!

I took SheCodes Plus right after the first SheCodes workshop and really loved it. SheCodes was my first exposure to coding and it was fun to learn this new, challenging skill! As someone who was a complete beginner I couldn't recommend it more.
I loved working on this project since it gave us the needed tools to integrate real-time information using an API. After creating this project, I have learned a lot in JavaScript. Before I looked through the Vanilla JS videos, I had googled how to increment days in JavaScript which gave me more information as to how JavaScript's internal dates work. This has been a great challenge to complete!
I've now taken the basic and the Plus course, and I love it! Happily continuing forward with React to keep adding to my coding toolkit :)
This workshop help me initiate in the programming world and I love it!! You can improve at your own pace but everything is well structured, it's a great opportunity to learn the basics of html, CSS and Java.

SheCodes program is very easy to follow and teaches you the fundamentals to help you learn how to code by a quick lesson and a challenge to ensure you can apply the knowledge. I love how the lessons provide relevant information and the explanations are simple for anyone to follow. Another great thing about the program is how flexible it is to fit your schedule. I work a Full-Time job and was able to learn so much at my own pace and time. I would recommend SheCodes and look forward to moving forward to the next workshop to enhance and further my education of coding.
I needed/wanted an intro to coding and this was a great way to dive in! It always sounded so intimidating, and now I have some experience, I have a great appreciation for the engineers I know! The videos were easy to follow, and I loved doing it on my own time.

I wanted to learn new skill. Shecode gave a nice platform. I loved learning about Front end development.
I first came across SheCodes on GGI, a facebook group for women living abroad. I had always had coding in the back of my mind, ever since we learned some basic HTML during my master's degree in English Language Teaching. I love materials design and as Computer Assisted Language Learning is becoming more and more common, I loved the idea of being able to create my own webpages. I am a SAHM at the moment, so I like the format of the SheCodes workshops, since I could access the content whenever I had some peace and quiet - super useful if you have a little toddler running around. I loved every minute of it and also enjoyed all the challenges and being able to choose something unique for our final project. I will continue learning and looking forward to diving deeper into the world of Java Script.

I loved SheCodes! I had a previous basic experience with HTML, but I've never done anything with JavaScript before and nonetheless I found the course very clear and easy to follow. I also really liked that Matt was explaining enough to let me learn new stuff and complete the assignments, but still giving inputs about other options and possibilities that triggered my curiosity and made me explore and try on my own. The challenges were engaging, fun, and filled with easy to understand information. As each week passed, the elements we learned were tied together and the framework began to make more sense. This course exceeded my expectations. I loved it!
After completing the Introduction to Coding course back in summer, I was looking forward to developing my knowledge and testing myself - the Plus course definitely delivered! On many occasions I found myself frustrated when working through the weekly lessons and challenges, but when I began the homework I was surprised to realise how much I'd actually taken in and that it was a lot easier than anticipated. It was really fun and I've loved working on my project, from building my initial wireframe to spending hours working on and streamlining my JavaScript. There are some improvements that I'd like to have made to the code of my final project, but I took on board Matt's advice of only coding what you understand, not copying and pasting. I know that with time and patience I'll gain an even more advanced understanding, but I'm pretty stoked with what I've built considering six months ago my only knowledge of code was (very) basic HTML from the days of MySpace!
I love the SheCodes courses because of how they are broken down into smaller, manageable steps.
I would highly recommend SheCodes for anyone looking for a solid foundation in coding without dropping thousands on a bootcamp. I loved the pace and level of the course, and really appreciated the community of the slack channel. I'm looking forward to building a portfolio with the projects I worked on with SheCodes.

I loved the fact that the curriculum is divided in several short videos and after each video you get to apply what you have learned in the challenge and afterwards combine everything you have learned in the homework and finally in the final project. Learning to code for the first time ever from scratch is a very intimidating thing. However, Matt and the support team provide such simple teaching and great knowledge to get you through the course. I never realized how much I love coding until now. I am excited to take coding to the next level and apply it to my career!

Withouth any doubt, I totally recommend this workshop to everyone! The modules are very well designed and segmented to allow you a smoothly progress. Matt is not only a highly experienced coder, but an excellent teacher that makes complex concepts extremely easy to understand and execute. I loved every challenge even though sometimes I was stuck for a couple of hours trying to figure out how to fix or do something. It is just part of the process, and I appreciate the tips and resources shared with us. I am looking forward to continue my path to the next workshop with SheCodes.
I always thought of coding as part of an elite, something that was so far outside my grasp. However, it has always been something that has really triggered an interest within me. But my main problem was not knowing how or where to begin, and that's when I came across SheCodes, a course that provides with all the tools and help you need to get started. Without a doubt, I signed up for my first 3 week workshop, and I was not disappointed! I have now changed career course and would love to explore the coding world even more! With the help and support from SheCodes, nothing is outside my grasp. I want to thank the SheCodes team for the support network they have set up for all of their students, and how they have enabled and opened up a world I didn't think "was meant for me".
If you don't know codding this is for you, is a great workshop to know how lovely coding is.
I never thought about coding. I thought it was boring and not my kind of thing. Well.. I loved it! It's amazing to build something by yourself, it's amazing to understand what's behind all those letters and numbers. The workshop is well explained, step by step, the homeworks are very useful to practice. The SheCodes community ready to help is just amazing. And I loved the SheCodes radio! I'm an engineering student and I wanted to give frontend a try so bad. SheCodes really inspired me to keep going. The workshop is well-structured and intuitive, the lessons are easy to follow and its challenges helped me to stay motivated. I absolutely loved the SheCodes 3 week Workshops! I became interested in coding about a month ago and wanted to take a course to see if it was something I wanted to pursue further. I took SheCodes' free coding class and thought I would try the 3 week coding workshops. The workshops explained all the concepts really well and started from scratch. This really allowed me to start building my knowledge from day 1 and the best part was that it was really easy for me to fit it around my work schedule! I didn't think I would be able to create a landing page from scratch but I have and I'm so proud of myself. The workshops have given me the confidence to keep coding and keep learning. If you are thinking about going into tech and want to try your hand at coding, take the plunge and do the 3 week SheCodes workshops. I promise you won't regret it!

I found the SheCodes 3-week self-paced class to be really easy to fit into a very busy life. I took this class alongside a friend to have some accountability and it's been great to be able to bounce ideas off and work with each other. If I didn't have this, there is a huge Slack channel of folks to reach out to and collaborate with, which is awesome! I loved the material we learned and the freedom of the last assignment. I'd recommend this to anyone who is code-curious and has been waiting to take a plunge and make the commitment. You can do it! We can all do it!
Loved the easy to follow bite-size lessons which I could fit comfortably around work and family. The assignments were challenging at times (in a good way) but the support from the other ladies in the group was great.
