I started SheCode Plus with some apprehension because I knew it covered advanced content, but I loved every part of the journey. The classes are short, not tiring, and what I liked the most is that sometimes the code doesn't work for some reason, and they don't hide it during the classes. Instead, they show those moments and teach us how to identify and solve the errors. I definitely recommend the course because today I can say that I know much more about programming and I learned in a short amount of time.

Each week shows me how much I have already learned. The videos are still super easy to follow and this makes the project easier to accomplish. Love it!

I was a little bit worried I wouldn't be able to follow (what's before absolute beginner?), but 3 weeks later I am so glad I went for it! I was immediately hooked by the workshop and looked forward to login in at the end of the day. Matt's lessons are remarkably clear and engaging, and I loved being able to immediately apply my newly acquired knowledge in the exercises. SheCodes allowed me to surprise myself and make myself proud, I had way more fun than I ever thought I would while learning how to code. It's not that complicated, after all!

Time went so quickly whilst doing this course which can only mean one thing.....I LOVED IT!!!! I have always been curious as to how websites are made so when I saw this course I jumped at the chance to do it. Matt does a wonderful job at explaining everything with easy to follow videos and smart little challenges at the end of each section. My advice to everyone is to take lots and lots of notes! Overall a very informative, enjoyable course to do, very happy indeed.

The Plus Add-On was an exciting challenge. I loved seeing the 'live changes' with time zones and how we go through each step thoroughly. The step by step process is super helpful, especially when it involves JavaScript.

It was really fun and empowering creating a website with just HTML and CSS. I feel like I'm starting to get a deeper understanding of how everything works. I made a website that acts as a one-stop-shop for latin dance lovers in Lisbon. It has information on classes and regular parties. Just last night, someone from dance class said how hard it is to know about the parties happening around the city. It was so cool being able to help him out by directing him to a website I created.
I feel as if I get better and better everyday. Matt is an awesome teacher, and I love the fact that he made this platform.

I started the coding workshop with no coding experience. At the beginning, it felt a bit overwhelming but having Matt as a teacher was really amazing. He always motivated us to try our best and simplified the coding languages for us. I love challenging myself and this was a good way of doing so while gaining a new skill set.

I was born in Minas Gerais Brazil, I lived many years in Portugal, today I'm living in the United Kingdom and here I believe that God gave me this opportunity to believe that we can always do a little more than we imagine. I am very grateful to God, my husband, my family and friends for all the support and motivation to do this course. I love being a mother, a wife, playing instruments, singing, organizing events, doing social work, using creativity. I have many work experiences, but this course has certainly made me dream more and more, it is a real challenge for me, but I am loving all this opportunity.
Growing up, I was always curious about how things were made and what made them run. When I discovered the internet, i wanted to know how it operate, i started learning how to operate computer but what will actually give me what i wanted to learn were very expensive. so i couldn't afford the classes. Again, Coding was seen as men's job in my community which everyone discouraged me but the zeal was still there. Years later, I stumble upon the SheCodes Workshop which offered me a chance to go back to my passion. This programm has given me skills such as a sense of community and focusing on what i love to do. And guess what? the workshop was offered to me for free. It was actually challenging with limited resources to buy date, however, my goal to continue learning and to complete the Workshop successfully kept me moving. SheCodes program has given me the confidence to continue learning. To every woman interested in pursuing a career in Coding, i urge them to take a leap, discover their potentials, and give their best. Its okay to fail, but its okay to stay down. I also advice anyone currently in the program to trust the process, stay motivated, and work with Matt and his team. It is a continues learning experience, and every day provides an opportunity to grow and discover new ways to make systems work better. I'm glade i mate Matt and his team. You guys are awesome. SheCodes Responsive 🤛... I am thrilled 🤩. It was such a great insight and experience acquired especially the design/development process (SDLC), making the project SEO friendly, also cross checking errors, debugging to make the application responsive on all devices was such an interesting learning journey. I love the structure of SheCodes workshops as you progress. Everything that I was curious about in SheCodes Basics was covered in SheCodes Basic Plus which was great! Working with JavaScript on this project was so insightful.
Starting this course as a complete beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Matt explains everything so thoroughly and makes it very easy to understand. Great course, well structured, and I loved that you can do it at your own pace but with some deadlines to keep you accountable.
This workshop has been my favourite so far. After getting introduced to the foundational stuff in the earlier workshops, we finally got the chance to use it all in an actual homepage design, which is also responsive. I love how much it's possible to do with relatively simple tools.
I just completed the SheCodes Basics course, and I loved it! I was always too scared to try to learn to code, I thought I did not have enough time nor the right skills but thanks to this course I learned quickly while having fun and playing with my creativity. The lessons and challenges are well structured and I completed this course despite having a busy schedule. The SheCodes team on Slack supported me when I felt stuck on a challenge, but honestly, the video lessons are so well done that I managed to solve my problems by following Matt's suggestions most of the time. Overall, I liked very much this course and I'm even more excited to continue my coding journey!
I LOVE react. It is so interesting how you can install all these apps using the terminal. The way Matt teaches is so clear and concise, and the slack community rounds out the support aspect of a full University program. Thank you doesn't say enough!

Another great workshop where I learned so much added to my CV! When I thought there isn't much about HTML and CSS, Matt proved me wrong! I loved learning about them both because I love styling and making a page more visually pleasing and interesting! I have to admit the transform property in CSS can quickly go wrong if you can't stop using it like I do, but this workshop proved me again how fun coding is and how excited I am to learn even more in the workshops!
Code has always been a mystery to me, a language that I had no idea how to read, let alone understand. This basic course has given me an insight into the world of coding and while obviously there is still a lot to be learnt, I am no longer utterly confused by all these lines of code that make up a website. The step by step approach of SheCodes makes it possible to follow easily and writing code is not only possible but fun. I loved building my first own website and playing with fonts, colours and functions. Thanks for opening the door to coding for me!
Shecodes has been an amazing platform for me to learn new skill.I enjoyed this workshop so much. It definitely has given me so much more confidence! I can now say that I know HTML and CSS didn't know anything about coding. My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜.

SheCodes Plus was definitely a challenge but in the best way possible! The skill set I gained from this goes beyond anything I imagined. Being able to build an entire app by myself after following all the lessons is a massive confidence boost, not forgetting to mention the fun I've had! This workshop takes you from a coding beginner to a coding pro in so little time! I loved Matt's way of explaining and always making me feel like I could do anything if I take it step by step! Not only I've learned so much, but this workshop has changed my mindset and how I look at problems!
I started with SheCodes highly skeptical because coding bootcamps are tough and I am happy to say SheCodes is one of the best programs I have been with. The team on Slack is always efficient when we ask questions and Matt explains languages with so much easy.
