Building my weather app was both a challenging and rewarding experience. At first, I felt overwhelmed by all the moving parts—integrating the API, displaying accurate forecasts, and making sure the icons and temperatures worked perfectly. There were moments when I doubted myself, especially when things didn’t display as expected. But through persistence, problem-solving, and a lot of trial and error, I slowly started to piece everything together. Debugging each issue, step by step, helped me grow more confident in my skills. I learned the importance of patience and seeking out solutions, no matter how tricky the problem seemed. By the end of the process, I not only had a functional weather app, but I also felt a real sense of accomplishment. It reminded me that challenges are just opportunities for growth, and with determination, there’s nothing I can’t conquer. I'd like to thank Matt and the team, y'all are amazing. Thank you for such a great learning experience. 💕💕

As someone who started with no knowledge of coding, I can now confidently say I've learned so much through SheCodes! The experience has been incredible. Matt is an excellent teacher who guides you through each step while also introducing new challenges, giving you the opportunity to explore and learn on your own. I especially appreciated the accountability aspect of the program, with due dates for homework that kept me motivated, even though it was challenging to meet deadlines while balancing a full-time job. Now, I have something to show for my portfolio! I can't wait to continue my SheCodes journey.

The basics course has been really quite fun. In all my years in IT I've never coded. I have learnt quite a bit in the 6 weeks. Definitely would recommend the basics course for Python.

Starting this bootcamp was interesting because a lot of what Matt dives in to is great fundamentals in learning the beginner steps of becoming a web developer. This was such an amazing, exciting and challenging journey. When I started coding I thought it was too complicated and difficult to understand. Matt (our instructor) made it very easy to understand difficult concepts. The SheCodes course is easy to follow through, the pace is manageable and Matt builds your confidence along the way and makes you feel capable to tackle the challenges on your own. I am so excited for the next modules and the future ahead. I know that I have been equipped with a great skill and I am confident in myself that I will excel in the tech industry. SheCodes is the best course for beginners and people who have no prior experience in coding. I absolutely recommend SheCodes and I wish that more women can learn how to code.
Basic-add-on workshop taught me so many new coding tricks and made coding even more interesting. I especially liked learning about CSS animation and grids. Now I know how creators designed their websites to look beautiful and sort of classic. This was by far the most enjoyable week. As I am writing this, I am already looking forward to the next week 😉.

By integrating the Moment.js and Moment Timezone libraries, I mastered the manipulation of dates and times across various time zones. This not only enriched my JavaScript skills but also helped me understand the complexities involved in handling date and time data. I also explored the Geolocation API, which taught me how to access and use the user's location in real-time. This feature was particularly exciting, as it added a personalized touch to the application, allowing users to see the current time in their own location. what an awesome journey, classes aren't so complicated I enjoyed every bit of Shecodes classes I can confidently code any landing-page or applications using CSS, Html and JavaScript and I'm ready to dive into the Tech industry. I highly recommend SheCodes Basics for complete beginners to experience the world of coding. Each video is short, easy to follow, and you will learn step by step. Even though I knew these were very basic, I still reveled in the fact that I could create something on my own.

This was a fun add-on to the basic workshop. By the end of it, you start to get a solid understanding of some more advanced (but still basic) CSS, HTML and JS. I enjoyed the follow-along approach to completing the project, which broke it down into smaller chunks of building the end product and really helped cement the learning outcomes.

Creating a page of my favorite hobby was quite interesting. I have learnt to pay attention to detail in coding because missing one thing even the simplest thing will result in not getting the expected outcome. I've just completed SheCodes Python Basics - and I am so glad I decided to learn with SheCodes. Matt is great, he explains everything clearly, introduces concepts well without using too much tech speak. The course is easy to follow - you can do it as quickly or as slowly as you like - but having a structure, the email reminders and the slack groups make you feel more accountable than your average lesson on Coursera or Udemy. I really liked that the lesson videos are short - anywhere between 5 - 15 mins and then you practice the skills after. This helped me learn quickly and build my confidence so I could play around to see what else I could do. I'm looking forward to completing Python Advanced next!
