Never in million years would I think I will learn to love coding But after taking SheCodes 3 Week workshops I'm starting to love it!
The SheCodes responsive project stood out as my favorite. It was a valuable learning experience in crafting organized portfolios and ensuring websites are seamlessly responsive. This project honed my skills in creating adaptable and user-friendly web designs, adding a significant layer to my coding expertise.
This additional training deepened my understanding and usage of CSS properties and the interplay between HTML and JavaScript. The skills were layered on in a very effective way to not overwhelm the learner and I now have the absolute confidence to create a beautiful and functional landing page for straightforward requests!

After the pandemic, it became difficult for me to find work in the music field. After working menial jobs, my husband suggested I try coding. I am excited to learn a new skill that will help us accomplish our goals of moving to New Mexico to be close to my parents and our extended family.
What a fantastic add-on! I enjoyed every minute I spent working on the travel site. I had previously attempted to learn to code but how things were explained just didn't make sense to me. I lost confidence in my abilities and nearly gave up. I joined SheCodes to give coding one last try and I'm glad to say that this workshop exceeded my expectations and most importantly, it has brought back my confidence and love for coding. Phew! It's a lot of work, but I am now at the end of my SheCodes Responsive add-on project. This was an enjoyable website landing page to create. I adapted my context to fit in with my own travelled destination and therefore found it more personal in some sense to relate to. I have learnt more and am continuing to build on previous knowledge.
I'm truly impressed with the SheCodes Basics workshop. The pace is perfect, and the information is presented in a way that's both helpful and insightful. SheCodes has an easy step-by-step program to follow through. You are always challenged to try out and search some things on your own but if you get stuck the team as well as other coders are there to help so you can continue to learn and code like a pro!
Really fun, quick 'add on' workshop to improve knowledge around styling! Great tips to improve overall aesthetic and another enjoyable week of learning. Each course gives a great chance to form more questions and find your own solutions, so the learning is two-fold.

I've tried several coding camps and didn't do very well. SheCodes was the first course in which I retained what I had learned and understood what I was doing and why! 1000% recommend it to anyone, especially beginners.
The Basics Add-on Course was a great way to learn the finer points of CSS. Between grids, increased responsiveness through transform, and HTML class manipulations, this provided a number of incredible tools to elevate my code. I'm looking forward to putting this new knowledge to use!

I loved completing this program. There is still more to learn as this is just basics but I feel as though concepts were simplified, executed repeatedly and explained well which allowed me to understand what was being taught. I would recommend this to any women who's looking to start coding. I would also like to point out that three weeks is the right amount of time and you can complete tasks/ challenges in adequate timing without burning yourself out. There is also an abundance of resources that are also a great help.
I really enjoyed this workshop and learnt a lot about CSS! I had a lot of fun designing this page and seeing my design come to life using CSS and HTML.

I enjoyed learning with SheCodes. I learnt how to make a weather app using api. The plus course is fastpaced towards the end but it is easy to understand. Recommended👍
The course was very challenging but provides a good introduction to React. I learnt a few tricks along the way such as using other SVG icons, looping and refactoring, but lots of replaying was necessary and definitely still lots to learn & get used to when writing code with React!
SheCodes Basic was awesome! Learning to code opened up a whole new world for me. The lessons were straightforward, and even though JavaScript posed a bit of a challenge, I found the learning process enjoyable. Big thanks to SheCodes for the support.

SheCodes Plus was more challenging than I was expecting. Which makes me even more happy and proud of myself for finishing it. Every class is a new learning and each week is more rewarding than the previous one.
The most challenging workshop so far, but incredibly interesting. Take a deep breath and make sure you have time and patience, because this is going to be quite an emotional rollercoaster. You'll find yourself stuck for stupid things, or things that you believe are out of your control. Keep searching, reading your support articles, and search in the support chats for similar problems. Eventually, you'll find you have learnt how to unstuck yourself, and this is a very valuable skill to have. Have fun & enjoy coding!
Equipped with the knowledge now to keep going forward, keep learning and keep coding!
