Shecodes Foundation was among my answered prayers as of last year 2023 and an incredible learning experience! it was challenging and fun all together that I cant even think of giving up but rather stick to being productive and learning new skills, which i never thought in 3 weeks time I'd acquire as much as I do now when it comes to coding. I just wanted to share my experience with the SheCodes Basic Course after three weeks of studying as an absolute beginner. I can't believe how far I've come in such a short amount of time! Before starting this course, I couldn't even imagine that I could start coding in just three weeks. The SheCodes Basic Course has been an incredible learning journey for me. The way the course is structured makes it easy for even a complete novice like me to grasp the fundamentals of coding. The video lessons are engaging, and the hands-on projects have been a real game-changer. I've built simple websites and even coded some basic JavaScript functionalities, which is something I never thought I could do. The support from the SheCodes community has been amazing. I have been studying coding for a while now with another platform for the paste 9months and it became tiring and vhim killing to learn. The tutorial was bad until a friend recommended shecodes. Within 2 weeks on just basics i've understood and can do what i couldn't do before studying for 9months. Matt is a blessing. I am determined to finish through with good understanding.

This was a good course overall, however, I thought it was a bit of a jump from the Basics course. The JS was much more complex here and at times it was quite hard to follow along to videos. However, I really enjoyed the last two weeks of having no challenges, just simply the lessons so that we could take time to implement what we learned previously.
SheCodes is the perfect course to use when starting your coding journey. Each video has been extremely helpful and I've been having so much fun learning to code!

I had an enriching learning experience completing my most recent React Development workshop with SheCodes in September 2022. I was able to strengthen my skills in front-end development through the process of building a new and improved weather app. I look forward to putting my newly acquired skills to the test as I venture out into the world and make my first steps toward my first creative career. With my SheCodes certifications under my belt, I was able to join my university's marketing team as a web associate, build a new website for a non-profit, and more, all while working towards my undergraduate degree. SheCodes Plus was another incredibly valuable workshop. This online workshop format delivers well-structured and sophisticated content, which has been motivating and interesting since day one. Learning the fundamentals of HTML, page styling with advanced CSS techniques and page animation with more sophisticated JavaScript functions and applying those techniques instantaneously on a real-life project is a perfect way of taking it all in. Learning how to integrate APIs into my code fetching real data and how to get into a development workflow using code management tools that professionals use, felt pretty amazing, while designing and building my own fully functioning weather app.
I learn so much from these lessons, it's great! Matt makes it super easy to follow along, and the slack chat is always there if you get stuck.

Learning the basics of coding really wasn't easy ,it was frustrating at times but as soon as I got to understand what I was doing, coding became fun. SheCodes is the easiest coding workshop I have done thus far and Matt is an amazing teacher. SheCodes works with your schedule. This is my second SheCodes Add-on, which I found quite important, due to the complexities of learning how to understand universal time zones or the world clock. From what I hear other software engineers say, time zones can be tricky and troublesome when you run into problems with different rules and combinations of rules. I highly recommend trying this course and getting familiar with coding dates and times. I had fun with this project!

When I started my Shecodes workshop i had no background experience in coding. I thought it was gonna be a challenge for me to understand a lot of stuff. I found the lessons very easy to understand and engaging which helped or made it easier for me to catch/learn new things. I am very grateful of the opportunity i got to start my coding journey with SheCodes I am highly positive that i want to continue learning how to code on a higher/professional level.
It was interesting to update date and time elements without API. I found some bits harder to grasp without the detail such as split and replace. However, it did cover most of what was covered in SheCodes-Plus so it was good to put into practice the learning in the add-on project.
I thoroughly enjoyed these 3 weeks of course work and I am looking forward to the next course. I feel that I have learned a lot in 3 weeks.

It's a really fun a quick way to learn the basics of coding! The quick interval of learning and then applying what you have just learnt makes the material stick and the progress quick!

WOW SheCodes Plus has been one hell of a journey 😅 I'm so proud of my weather app! 🌈 There were times I thought I might throw my laptop out the window but then I would find the bug causing the problem and honestly, this is the most satisfying feeling. It's funny how convinced you can get that the whole thing is just wrong and it'll literally be ONE semi-colon or something equally tiny that's missing that breaks the whole thing. Anyway, thanks again Matt, your ability to deliver complex information in bitesize chunks is great and being able to see our project get upgraded more and more as we apply what we're learning is a great way to see our skillset grow. I'm still challenged by a lot of the JS stuff but the repetition involved has gotten me to a point I didn't think I would ever get to when I first started SheCodes Plus.
At this stage, I can confidently state that I have made significant progress on my journey to becoming a front-end developer. 🚀 I find joy in the learning experience and the way I am gaining new knowledge.

Tough but beneficial course, I thought I knew JavaScript till I did SheCodes Plus. The course is just proof enough that we keep learning new stuff on a daily basis.
I studied art and work in a coffee shop. I had 0 experience in coding and I was worried I wouldn't be able to understand a THING. Coincidentally, this workshop makes it so simple to understand and learn. I couldn't believe I was flying through the lessons. I even looked forward to it daily. I must say that the final project has been one of my favorite things I've completed this year so far. I feel inspired and motivated to continue learning.
