Definitely a very challenging course but I think learning React is a valuable skill and knowledge to have and makes it all worth it. It'll get easier with time and practice but I enjoy how easy it is to follow along and that you're able to do it at your own pace.
I've been trying to learn HTML and CSS on and off for a few years. Every time I would dive into it, I would not finish because I found it to be too confusing. This course is laid out in a way where you learn very easily. You're learning concepts and how they work instead of memorizing functions. I really loved it and found it easy to learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I'm very excited to continue on and keep learning in the next courses. The basic course alone is well worth the money. If you're thinking about doing it, you should.

The best coding workshop ever because every lesson provide clear and straight instruction. Flexible to women working a full time job as you can change the date course. Whenever you need help about your coding, you can just ask help on Slack and someone will help you right after. SheCodes is user friendly and so much fun. Just 3 weeks ago, I had no knowledge about coding, and I was not sure if it was something I was prepared to learn. Surprisingly, I'm confident enough to say that I made the right choice by joining the SheCodes programme. So far, SheCodes has been a great program to learn, apply, and execute effective coding practices using standard workplace coding software, VS Code! I enjoy that classes are self paced, allowing me to work on challenges and projects on my own time. It was a great learning experience. The concepts were explained to me well, in short lessons, which made it easy for me to understand. The tasks/challenges helped me apply the knowledge I gained from the video, which also helped me retain what I learnt from each lesson.

I love this project-based learning approach. You can see the real-life application of what you are building, which makes it more fun to learn more about other features that you add to make it better. Google anything you don't know or remember 😆. Creating this App with friends in mind made it even more fun to learn.

An ex airline staff, a mother of 3 with a long career gap wanted to pursue my career by doing a transition to IT. I was in search of a learning platform a strong floor where a person like me without any IT background can take my baby steps with confidence. That's when i found SheCode. Learning React is not easy. It takes a lot of practice and understanding. I was learning it while doing my freelance work. The great thing is it is very flexible, timewise.
As an older learner, I began this course with some trepidation as I remember a time before the internet! Fortunately, Matt's excellent step by step instructions helped me to understand how a page is built, what works and why. I am eager to learn more now that I comprehend the basics.

I loved SheCodes Basics. The short learning videos are almost always accompanied by a practical exercise so it makes it really hands on. I liked that the videos are to-the-point, concise and don't go in too much details. It's not a 3-hour long lecture : after 15min, you're actually getting your hands dirty and learning actionable stuff! For me, it was the reassuring phrases from Matt like "don't worry, nothing's going to explode, it's just not good practice to do it like this" or "this might be confusing but do it like this for now and it'll all come together in the next video" or "ok, this is a hard exercise but you can do it and don't forget the community and tools that can help you" and of course : "Happy coding!".
