Learning is one thing but replicating or creating something from scratch with comprehension is another thing. Coding requires logic and continuing the journey requires persistence. Coding is challenging, and requires time, effort, and trial and error. Passion is not necessary but it can help. So why do I love coding or continue to find myself doing this? I believe its because I can bring an idea to life by words. We do not hear this a lot but coding and creativity sounds like two different worlds which in fact work well together. Advanced CSS and JS was a beast together with codesandbox, but I was an even greater beast! I fought, I almost quit, but kept on fighting and here I am. Someone previously commented "Be encouraged and keep at it!", a special thank you to them, due to the particular comment amongst many other things I kept fighting. Moreover, I cannot get enough of the lessons, I just want to keep doing them. I like to say "There is so much to learn and see," I love learning and SheCodes Plus definitely had a lot of learning. I cannot wait for the next phase, I cannot help but wonder what other interesting things are there for me. So, later on that day I went to the SheCodes website to check out the available courses, and to my surprise, they offered funding for people like me who are eager to learn but do not have the means to do so. I then applied to the SheCodes foundation. A few weeks later, I was notified that I will be starting the coding journey soon. It was an experience out of this world.Everything I learnt so far has fueled up a desire to learn more. The first week was a bit of a challenge for me because I took too long to adjust to my schedule but the following weeks were a bliss. HTML and CSS gave me a challenge but I was able to keep up.Then things got a little easier when I got to JavaScript. The instructor explained so well that you cannot miss a thing. I am going to keep practicing to perfect my skills. I realized that you never stop learning and there is always new information and updates on the languages and that keeps me on my feet all the time. I just wanted to share a quick note and let you know that SheCodes does a really good job. I'm glad I got chance to work with you and learn from you. It's really great how easy you make complex topics easy to understand.This Adds-On workshop intrigued me the most, I have learnt many styling properties in this workshop.
At first, I was very intimidated learning how to code. at the moment, I am 39 years old with a 11 month old baby, and pregnant! It has been slightly difficult to find the time to keep up with the workshops. But thankfully with SheCodes, I am able to extend my deadlines so I can keep up with the class. I honestly considered just giving up, due to only having uninterrupted time in the late hours. I'm glad I reconsidered and completed my first two workshops. I was astonished by how much information I memorized, even after taking an unexpected break due to health issues. Matt Delac is a great teacher and pays attention to detail, which helps me learn and memorize with clarity. I like that I am able to go back and relearn a specific lesson instead of being left struggling to figure it out.
I really loved this part of the course! It was a great way to build on skills I'd already learned.
I've tried to learn Javascript many times over the years and I never had that easy of a time. Matt has made it where I can learn Javascript and where it makes sense!

Honestly, the She Codes Plus workshop does get tricky, but if you give yourself enough time to practice over and over, You eventually master it, Matt's clips are so digestible and allow you to watch them on a lower speed. It's also important that when you seek a solution, google it first before you ask on Slack. I have learned so much.
This course was so much fun! Learning how to use Natural Language to full effect, to get the AI responses you want is a whole new skill and I look forward to developing this in the future. It was great to have free reign over the project to make something more tailored to my interests, and I think it is something I'll build on going forward.
