I decided to take the SheCodes Basics course to get a first approach to coding. It was very easy to follow, with each step of the course clearly explained. I really enjoyed the process, and I look forward to keep learning.
After I finished SheCodes Basic I immediately started with SheCodes Plus. The combination of short teaching videos, followed by challenges during which you immediately apply the learnt material makes this so satisfying. The learning curve is steep and I will definitely go back and go through the material again! Additionally, I now have the confidence to apply for jobs that require to communicate with technical teams - that is a huge leap forward from where I was just a few weeks ago! I thoroughly enjoyed my SheCodes Basics Workshop! I had previously attempted to learn coding through other courses, but found myself overwhelmed by the extensive explanations and level of detail. I struggled to stay motivated due to the slow progress and constant feeling of being overwhelmed. Matt gets straight to the point, yet still provides precise explanations that help you understand what he is doing. The Slack chat was very helpful whenever I encountered challenges. I am extremely satisfied with my decision to purchase the course and eagerly anticipate my next workshop.
I am grateful to have been a part of the SheCodes Basics program, it sure took me a while to complete but I am happy to say that I have gained more confidence with regards to my HTML, CSS and JS coding skills now. I look forward to learning more on this platform for sure.
I had a great time learning but some days, my progress was hindered, as I was not able to learn and take challenges everyday due to my very stressful day job. It is very evident that with coding, you must practise daily to retain what you have learned and put it into action. If you don't use it, you lose it.
Matt's lectures are very brief, precise and easy to understand. I loved how there was a practice question at the end of each topic, which allowed me to test my understanding, remember what I had learnt and sharpen my skills with each lesson. Now I can confidently build a basic interactive website.
Having the chance to learn coding has revealed to me my capability to achieve anything I set my mind to. While there were challenging moments, the assistance and support from the SheCodes team empowered me to complete my foundational course and grasp concepts more effectively.
Loved learning how to make dark mode
This course was designed to perfection. I have learnt how to make an application interactive and fetching APIs , which i find really cool working with live data. I am confident in the skills i have learnt,especially the fundamentals of Vanilla JavaScript. Takes a lot of practice,but the way the lessons and challenges are structured, you learn so much.
I enjoyed SheCodes plus, it was challenging but worth every challenge. I learned a lot and feel very confident in my coding. Ready for the next challenge.
This has been quite the experience for me, honestly! Fun, informative and a very big learning curve. I've loved every single minute of absorbing knowledge and creating, and just engaging with other peers on the course. I have just finished the 3 week Basic course and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It's amazing how much you can learn in such a short period of time. I have got an idea how the basic coding languages work and will definitely continue learning.
One of the things I like the most about these coding workshops are simplicity and clarity. There are lessons, challenges and then solutions - so it is easy to learn and understand. The lessons don't last long, so even if I have to repeat one to listen to it again, it doesn't take much time. I am excited to continue learning! Recommendations to everyone! 😊
I never thought I would be interested in anything that relates to tech until I came across SheCodes 😃 SheCodes Basics really challenged me, in a very good way that I can't open a web page without inspecting it or checking for the source code 😂 I really had fun and learned quite a lot. I love SheCodes Basic because it covers every detail one needs to know without making it boring or time-consuming. Instead, there are bite-sized lessons. I never thought that I would be able to code at any day because I have tried to use so many sources to learn how to code but I kept on failing. I saw SheCodes on TikTok and I was immediately interested because my dream to learn how to code never died. I took a leap of faith and applied and I was beyond thrilled when I got an acceptance email. I like to learn new things. And the best thing now is that I understand the emails from the developer in our company :D I learned about SheCodes last year on instagram and had plan to start the courses when i finished my education which I did last year, so it nice that I have time for more and get to learn the amazing coding language.

This course helped me understand the basics of coding, and it was great learning how to integrate three program languages. It was a very good 8 weeks experience of learning development. Although some lessons were tricky but managed to get them correct with the help of SheCodes team and learners. I now know how to create a Weather App with CSS,HTML,JAVASCRIPT adding/inserting the API Intergration using VISUAL CODE. Then add my work to my GitHub account, Commit it to main and Push it. Also link/add my coding to/with netlify
I have learned more during the past weeks and I'm still eager to continue learning. How the lessons are presented makes it easy. It was fun and exciting to create a website and ensure that it was responsive.

This course covers the basics of front-end coding very clearly while making learning incredibly fun. Any questions I had were quickly resolved. My entire coding journey has been with SheCodes, but over the last few months I have been considering learning Python to add to my set of skills. Thankfully Matt created the python bundle course so I did not have to think twice about where to study Python from. LOVED IT. Easy to follow which made me gain confidence in my coding and lose the 'fear' of learning and tackling backend.

I've been interested in venturing into coding and tried out the basics course after being indecisive about doing it for a long time. After three weeks, I realized that I could code and enjoy it. 8 weeks of knowledge, not complaining at all. I have learned a lot about search engine, API integration(it was not easy but taking my time and replaying the videos until I got it right helped a lot, also not to forget help from the slack team as well) and so much more. It is crazy that I can now create a functioning forecast weather search app. Grateful for the opportunity to learn such skill at no cost.

As a first time coder, I found the classes easy to follow along, yet challenging at times. I enjoyed learning new skills. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far. I cant wait to take the add on course!

I was nervous about self-paced education, but this was really helpful to me! I like that Matt gives examples in the videos but instructs to create our own design, so we can learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from our own experimentation.
This was a super fun workshop, and I loved building a multipage website/portfolio as the final project - it really pulled together everything we've been taught since the Basic workshops, and I got a real sense of just how much I've learned so far. Also, I really liked learning how to use Bootstrap 🤓
Taking this bootcamp has been the best leap I’ve taken for my career. I was self-teaching coding before this but wanted something to really push me and keep me accountable, and this program definitely did that. A big factor in my positive experience was having an amazing instructor like Matt who is genuinely passionate about coding. I'm grateful for what I learned and thankful for this experience which changed my life.
Responsive add-on was a very fun project to work on. It was interesting to build a responsive landing page with no bootstrap. In life we learn that less is more and this project truly showed that.
Learning about the AI & API has been enlightening, along with HTML,CSS,JavaScript. From crafting beautiful web interfaces to understanding AI's potential, each step has unlocked mew possibilities. Embracing collaboration through GitHub has honed my skills while empowering me to innovate & create solutions for the future.
The Basic Add On workshop had even more learning, great lessons and a fun project to work on at the end of the course! Definitely would recommend taking Basic Add On in addition to the Basic workshop that is offered!
I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program. Being a full time law student who's learning how to code has been nothing short of challenging. However this program has taught me how to improve my time management skills to make sure I don't fall to far behind on either of my studies.
