I wanted to learn how to code since ever and SheCodes gave me the opportunity to get started. I had no coding experience and in just two days I learned 3 different languages. Were two very intensive days but I also had a lot of fun doing the final project! Matt is the best coding teacher I could have asked for and I highly recommend this workshop!
This was a perfect beginner level workshop, I feel like I learned so much in just one weekend, and front end development is no longer a huge black box for me. Matt is an incredible teacher, I was never lost at any point! Honestly even though it was on the weekend I just wanted it to continue through the night!

This workshop is the best first approach that you can have for coding. In the past I tried to learn some basic things from internet and it´s so dificult compared to the lessons that Matt give! I've really enjoyed the course and feel like I have learnt a lot. The format and materials are great; it's really useful having a challenge after each video to practise what you have learnt. I've tried a lot of other coding courses and haven't felt as motivated to finish them like I have with this course as you are more accountable and the deadlines are tight. The community is great and there's lots of support available if you need it.

SheCodes Workshop was a breath of fresh air in my life, something I needed and didn't even know it. In 2 days I really learned the basics of HTML and CSS to build a Landing Page. It is really important to ensure an output from these kinds of trainings. That is the true value of it, a very high added value to my career as I am in touch with frontend developers and designers everyday.

I was already interested in coding and was trying to learn online. Until one day I saw SheCodes in Porto ad and I immediatelly signed up. The workshop was wonderful, Matt is very didactic and caring, his team is always ready to help. This event gave me energy and enthusiasm to invest more in this career.
In a couple of days I learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a very interactive and easy way. The workshop is well structured, everything is taught with examples and then you always have an exercise to practice. She Codes model, in my opinion, works very well and it’s a very well-built course that focus mainly on practice classes, where you have challenges and homework every week that forces you to actually code and put into practice what you’ve learned. I really enjoy the fact that classes are online and recorded, so we could see the videos many times if we had doubts. Also, I think the price is very competitive considering all other market offers and you really learn useful things and not a ton of unnecessary theory. Really enjoyed my time here and learned a lot! SheCodes Plus was great because I could develop what I initially started in SheCodes - Lisbon. The online platform was very well organized. The rewatchable Tuesday classes, the challenges videos + the exercises sequences helped me a lot to prepare myself to do the weekly homework. Never in my life I thought I could actually be capable of building a proper app, with real time information. This workshop sometimes was "sweat, blood and tears" but when I got things done and working it was a huge feeling of accomplishment! I strongly recommend this to all women who want to have a real understanding of what really is Front-End Development and its frameworks. I always had the curiosity about coding but because I don't have a coding backgroung I was always afraid to participate in coding courses. But then I read about SheCodes and the fact that there is no need for coding backgroung to attend the workshops. So I decided to try and it was the best decision I could've made. SheCodes changed my life in a way I could not have imagined. Not only did I discover a new skill I love, it led me to quit my actual job as a hospitality agent (I used to work in a hotel as a front desk agent)!! I am now investing my time in learning and practicing how to code and eventually get a job as a manager or elsewhat. I went to Shecodes workshop because I wanted to discover how code works since IT is more and more on our lives and, to meet people in the code industry to understand what they really do. Well it turns out that it was more than that, not only I learned the basics but I also tried on some code and met very interesting people (attendees, former shecodes students and Matt - the instructor). It's a very intensive workshop, don't get discouraged if you don't get all of it on the moment. Obviously, you can't learn how to code in a week-end but it shows you how to get to it and gives you some advises. After the workshop, you will know if code is your thing or not. I really enjoyed the workshop; I speak several languages and coding may be the next one. It was definitely a good experience for me.

I had zero experience in programming before starting the SheCodes workshop. I wanted to challenge myself and learn a new skill. I also thought it would be beneficial for my job, as I work at a software vendor company as a Recruiter and I wanted to gather more knowledge about the job of a Developer. I enjoyed the course immensely! The structure and the provided guidance made it a fun experience to get the first insights into programming. I now have much better understanding of many concepts in programming and can do some basic operations in CSS, HTML and JS.

If you want to actually learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript basics - take this course with Matt. After taking a bunch of other courses in-person and online, this is the only one where I truly felt that I understood everything. My goal was to have functional knowledge of Javascript basics, and I definitely gained those skills. I'm very excited to take the next step in learning more so I can make my designs and illustrations come to life.

My 1st ever experience with coding was about 20 years ago or so! Do you remember Geocities, at Yahoo? I remember I created a very rudimentary website with HTML there. Since then, my academic and working career has had nothing to do with coding at all. Lately I have become more interested at coding since I love learning new things and this workshop has been a nice challenge for me.
