After being let go from my job in the middle of a pandemic, I decided to explore web development—something I've been interested in ever since middle school when I would design Xanga profiles for myself and friends. Loving SheCodes so far, and I can't wait to learn more!
After getting laid off, I wanted to challenge myself. I ran across a Facebook ad about SheCodes. After attending the webinar, I signed up for the 3-week workshop. The overall experience has been amazing. Thank you Matt Delac and the other students for this learning opportunity. This is only the beginning.
Coding gives such an awesome feeling, when you can see immediate result of your work! It takes time and patience to learn, it's a completely different universe with their own rules but as soon as you understand the logic - coding starts collaborate with you helping to create something very cool.
I always thought the technological world was very far from me, and that it was really hard to code. But I have to say that Matt made this so easy, simple and understandable, so I really enjoy and love coding!!! Thank you very much!! i am really excited to learn more!

Greetings! My name is Alessandra and I am a brazilian translator who is very involved with languages. This time, I decided to learn a different type of language and I am simply thankful for the existence of SheCodes coding workshops and for the amazing quality of material and support. In only 3 weeks I could learn and create things I never thought I would. It is a very rewarding experience both personal and professional. I am glad I have acquired new useful skills and that now I have the chance to keep on learning and improving myself professionally. Simply I enjoyed the workshop and never expected that I could build something with my own coding after 3 weeks. The SheCodes has been accelerating my learning curve and now I am hungry for more! I started SheCodes with no prior coding knowledge. I had tried online learning for other subjects in the past and didn't have much success; I thought I was just someone who could only learn in person. I decided to try the online course anyway and I am SO GLAD I did. The course is well laid out. The videos are well done and I loved doing the challenges and homework to practice and reinforce the lessons. The best part of this course was that it was actually fun and gave me the confidence to continue on my coding journey. I'm excited to see where these skills take me and I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to get started.

I had this interest in coding and I decided to aplly to the SheCodes Workshop and I loved the workshop. It's possible for someone without any background to learn how to code. Matt is a great teacher and his videos are really easy to understand and the challenges allow you to put in practice what you learn in each session. It's a great way to start coding.
As a beginner to coding, the SheCodes workshop was easy to follow from course to course and at the same time encouraged self learning where appropriate. I really feel like I have a good grasp on the basics and was supported through 'Slack' along the way. I'm looking forward to continue learning!

I have loved doing this workshop and I am glad I took this opportunity. I would highly recommend it as it is a great starting point for anyone who would like to get more familiar with Coding. It helps understanding better what coding is and figuring out if this is actually what you thought it was. I love the way it is organised: a small video per topic and a challenge/exercise at the end of each one. In this way it allows you to learn and immediately put into practice what you are studying.

Very practical, you learn very fast and the teacher Matt is really easy to understand him!! Something that maybe (in my opinion) can be improved, it is to mention or at least giving us some links to understand the basic theory related with these languajes, some basics principles about elements and all that. Very good course, congratulations!

I attended SheCodes Workshop on a weekend and found that the way SheCodes teaches coding is very accessible and fun to learn, even for total beginners, which is my case. Being part of SheCodes as a student has given me more insight to what this area can really offer. Learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript is fun and not at all complicated, as long as you insist and encourage yourself every day. I learned to code at school, but it had been a while since I stopped. A real pleasure to be able to learn and challenge myself thanks to SheCodes. Simple to understand, clear explications even if english is not your first language. Looking for answers by yourself on websites and not having all the answers was challenging and I loved that !

An excellent introduction to coding! When I started the course I had 0 knowledge in coding, but SheCodes method made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. The hands-on coding challenges allowed me to start coding right the way. I learned a lot during these 3 weeks and I can't wait for the next step on coding!
Great way to start learning how to code. Each lesson was easy to follow, and I enjoyed doing all the challenges. I am amaze how much progress I made within a three week period. If you are curious about coding, I highly recommend trying out SheCodes.
I loved the course and how is devided by topics. Every video is very nicely explained and easy to understand and the excercises after each video is perfect to practice. It will be very usefull what we have learned for the future and to continue studying.

An extremely interesting program and the flexibility to do it whenever we have the time is great, as I work during the day and did it mostly at night or weekends! I have been recommending it to friends from Week 1, it's awesome to be able to start reading code and learn what's behind the websites we use on a daily basis - even be able to build our own now! I learned a lot by doing the Plus Course. I started doing a weekend workshop and decided to change my career path and do the Plus course. It was my best decision. This was a great introduction to a topic that is not as difficult as it seems. It was fun to learn HTML, CSS and JS. In attempting to switch careers, this was a great place to start and leading me to consider to taking further courses to continue my learning with SheCodes. If you don't want to pay thousands of dollars or can't afford it, this is a great place to start and it will be worth your while. You have the help you need from staff and other students. You are encouraged to learn things on your own by simply googling, making that acknowledgement valid of being able to be a continuous learner, but also asking for help when needed.
I have always wanted to learn to code in any way possible, but never knew how or where to start. I know problem of a century. Covid-19 solved this problem for me by giving me time to actually find a course that sounded interesting, and oh boy this past 3 weeks by SheCodes flew by like a lightning. Matt and his team are great and there is a chat support if you need it Thank you Lexi for kind words, questions like: How are you doing with project or homework? SheCodes Plus was a great challenge and a rewarding experience. Every week includes courses and exercises that allows you to learn and to build, step-by-step, your own application. SheCodes team was very helpful when I had questions and they check on your evolution during the course. It's very positive that there is flexibility in what regards deadlines, because you are able to manage your time and balance SheCodes courses with your professional life.
Thanks to SheCodes I rediscovered my almost forgotten passion for HTML and CSS and found a huge amount of motivation to continue learning how to code and get better at it. After a long time I finally do an activity that makes me happy and sparks my creativity 🥳
I had a great experience with my SheCodes workshop. I was able to refresh previous skills while learning easier and faster ways to accomplish what I knew. I was also able to learn Javascript with ease without any previous knowledge.

This course was the perfect fit for me! I wanted to learn web development more in-depth, but I needed guidance and some pressure not to procrastinate however, I couldn't spend a lot of money on a coding bootcamp. Although it was online and we could do it at our own pace, we had the slack chat which helped in feeling part of the class. Matt's English is very good and the classes are spoken at a good pace and you can understand everything very well. Any questions we had we could ask on slack and one of the instructors or even the students would respond briefly. I found it was very helpful this method of asking questions in slack because I would see my colleagues doubts and if I couldn't help them, I would see what the instructors answered and learned a little more. Also when the homework was submitted it appeared on slack and it really helped me in keeping my motivation because I didn't want to fall behind. All the people I talked to were very friendly and ready to help. I really do believe that we get a lot of value for the price we pay. It is on our side to make the most of it!
Coding was something that I was already interested in learning, and this course was very useful to start from scratch. Matt's videos and examples helped me a lot to understand how things work! 😊I think this workshop can be beneficial for professionals in different areas. I thoroughly and completely enjoyed this class! I learned A LOT (and also learned how to use my Mac better!). Though this was like learning a foreign language in three weeks with a very steep learning curve, I now feel emboldened to look at code on various websites and realize that I understand at least part of the code it took to write it!
SheCodes online is a great introduction to coding, perfect for someone with a complicated schedule like I have, I was able to repeat the lessons as many times as I wanted to, check the code examples and do it in my spare time, at any time. Ridiculously good. SheCodes is the an incredible platform to kickstart your experience in coding through its set of workshops. Its learning platform, slack community and support from the teachers is what I believe stands out the most when compared to other courses.
I loved to go over all the learning about React again and being able to see how much easier everything already flows and being able to go a few steps further. And the good news are the further you go, the easier it seems. Thanks so much Matt and João for the extra tips.

I always wanted to understand coding better but never knew how to start and I have always looked at it as "a monster". A friend of mine signed up to SheCodes and called me up to the same. I must confess I do not regret it at all. The course gave me a great first glimpse into the world of coding and the way it is organized (the challenge of online classes was highly succeeded) and it is very instructive, providing you lots of fun! The team is super friendly, and knows how to explain things in an accessible way. SheCodes team creates an environment in which every question is valid and "not stupid" and everyone feels free to ask any doubt. It was a great learning weekend and gives you end the course thinking about learning more about coding :)
My professional experience as a Product Owner gave me the opportunity to participate daily in the routines and challenges of the developers. However my wish was to understand them in a more assertive and close way. And speaking the language they speak is crucial to the success of any Product. I wanted to start coding for a while but couldn't find the right starting point. There is a lot of online material available, but it's so easy for a beginner to get lost in it! SheCodes provides everything you need to start coding - clear and structured material, challenges, that are adequate to your current knowledge level, a great teacher and a supportive team. And it was so much fun! After just one weekend, I learned so much and became "hungry" for more! Thank you guys, you are doing a great job!

SheCodes was an amazing experience...I was a bit terrified that I couldn't keep up, but Matt and all the team are really extraordinary! The course pacing is just perfect for you to understand everything, and all the challenges, homeworks and project are a fantastic way of practicing all you've learned. This a very valuable experience, gave me more tools to evolve profesisonally...and what can seem at the beginning like a seven-headed monster can be actually really fun to learn!

I just have to tell you, is by far the best 💯 Although, this weekend workshop it was supposed to be with presential learning, I just have to congratulate ALL THE TEAM 👏 for the speed of adaptation to make it an online course because of covid-19, they were so fast to adapat but they didn't lose the efficiency and the content of ANYTHING, once however 💪 I'm more than proud that I had the chance to see such a great team to work in this way, and thank to them they taught me things in a way that I won't forget for sure 🤓 ✔ And from here, it's always up ⬆ and I hope it will be with SheCodes 👩💻✔
SheCodes was a weekend well spend. The amount of stuff that you learn in only two days is incredible. Even though the class wasn't on site like previously planned, Matt was able to reach the participants via video-conference like no other! He's a very good teacher and being able to teach a bunch of newbies how to create an HTML page in one weekend says a lot.
