It wasn't easy, I must be honest! But I did learn a lot and it really helped me even at work understanding others code :)
I have thought about learning to code for quite some time now--explored various boot camps, tried out a few different DIY avenues, but it wasn't until I started SheCodes that I truly felt excited, rather than intimidated about learning to code. I can honestly say that I feel like I am on my path to the freedom and creativity in a career that I have been seeking. Thank you SheCodes! I am definitely excited for all that I have to learn 🙌
I really enjoyed this workshop. This is definitely a good introduction to coding, it is the very basic beginnings and really helps you see if you want to take the plunge into learning more. After this, I am wanting more! I loved it, it was very cool and i am excited to continue to develop my coding skills.
Loved every minute of this course! Matt Delac is not only concise and makes everything easy to understand, but he also teaches you valuable skills that are business oriented. No fillers, no boring text books, SheCodes is hands-on learning from day one.

I recommend this course to everyone who wants to start coding, no matter in which coding language. Specifically to those who are afraid of coding and think it's too hard to learn! This is certainly a good way to start because making a website (landing page in this case) using HTML, CSS and JS is actually fun and interactive. So you won't be bored and you keep going to achieve the defined small goals during this course. I personally really enjoyed it.

I highly recommend SheCodes Plus for anyone who wants to learn how to build a working website from scratch. The fact that the lessons are divided into topics helped me a lot to understand the step-by-step process of building a website that can provide important information such as the current weather. I am very happy that I now have a published website that accurately states the weather in any city in the world.
The video material was super easy to follow. The workshop is the perfect introduction (as well as a refresher if it's been a while!) to HTML, CSS and JS - the information does not overwhelm you and it actually makes you excited to come back to it every week and complete the challenges/homework. The knowledge that you'll gain solely from the workshop may be limited, but it will be a solid foundation and once you get to the final project you'll realize how much you've actually learned as it will be sufficient to get you "in the zone" and allow you to have fun with it :) . The personal advice offered by the instructor is extremely useful as well. Definitely worth every cent. Excited to come back for more soon!
Working through my first SheCodes class, I was excited learning about HTML & CSS, but was scared to learn about Javascript, based on stories I was told. I completed my first class, and then did SheCodes plus, and javascript was almost nothing! I started my SheCodes React, and was terried, but Matt made it easy, and explains everything thoroughlyso you understood why it was that way. If there were more SheCodes courses, I would most definitely be signing up!
Absolutely loved this course! I heard about it through friends of friends working within the FinTech/Tech sphere and through my sister as well who is currently doing the more advance course. I knew absolutely nothing about coding or development before beginning this course; while I still wouldn't feel comfortable going out to apply for developer jobs, I am super confident in the foundation this first workshop has helped me to build. Before I started this course, the only coding knowledge I had was from my Myspace days LOL. This course has helped me feel way more confident in the choice to continue my journey into the coding world. I definitely recommend this course to anyone who has the desire to learn more about coding but also feeling super intimidated by it because you know nothing. The teaching style and pace were great with my busy schedule as well.
Great introductory course. It refreshed my mind with all the CSS, and JS which I had long forgotten! The short-to-the-point lessons followed by a challenge and a solution after you submit your solution really gets you focused and wanting you to keep learning more. I can totally vouch for this anyone willing to gain some foundational knowledge on HTML, CSS, and JS.
After graduating from the SheCodes Introduction to Coding, I went on to SheCodes plus - it's been an overall fantastic learning experience. Matt is a fantastic teacher and Lexi has kept in regular contact checking in, which really adds to the experience. I studied Computer Science at University, but felt I was unable to code, and had zero confidence in myself. It has been a few years since I graduated from university, and I felt ready to step back into the field. I now want to continue my journey, take the next step with SheCodes to learn React, then continue my learning with the aim to begin a career as a software developer.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes introductory workshop! Matt was a great teacher and went through everything step-by-step. I especially enjoyed his humour - it made learning more fun! The challenges and project are also a great way to hold you accountable and practice what you learn along the way. I'm a digital marketing professional and I think what I have learned here will certainly help me in my career. I'm looking forward to continuing my learning and becoming more adept with programming. I definitely recommend that everyone learn at least the basics of programming - you won't regret it.
I absolutely recommend Shecodes! I learned way more than just the basics. The lessons in Shecodes are setup to be user friendly and not intimidating. The coursework is challenging, but you will not be over your head because you can seek support 24/7. I can't wait to continue my coding journey!
Great learning format - small easy to digest blocks that you can fit in around full time work, childcare and the rest of your busy life without it feeling like a chore. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to do more.

At the beginning I was a bit intimidated to be learning something new and different to my current job, however week by week my skills just kept on building up and my confidence just grew. I have always been a bit wary of online courses because I'm pretty old school and love face to face interaction. However the support provided is great and I have managed to do this around my full time job and kid...it also supported my already existent weather obsession!
SheCodes has been a great landing into the world of coding. With zero experience prior to this, I've learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript in just a few weeks. The lessons are well organized, the whole course is really creative and more than that, it is super fun !

I absolutely loved the course: It's easy to follow due to the videos provided, which combine theory with a live demonstration of how it's done. In addition to that it's full of exercises where you have to try new things yourself and you have weekly deadlines resp. homework. This helped me a lot, because otherwise I know I would let learning slip after an exhausting week at work. :)
I have really enjoyed the last 3 weeks, and have learnt so much. I joined SheCodes as a bit of a spur of the moment thing, knowing nothing about coding but I am definitely going to take this further.
I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone who has ever wanted to try coding! Matt explains the concepts clearly and the whole SheCodes team has been really helpful :) It's impressive how much you can learn in just a few weeks!

I started the introduction class to upskill myself and learn something new. Coding was such a mystery to me - until now! I thoroughly enjoyed learning about HTML, CSS and Javascript and feel motivated and able to move on to the next coding workshop.
After doing the SheCodes workshop, I knew I had to join SheCodes plus. Matt's classes and videos are very clear and easy to understand. From the most basic concepts to a more complex way of writing and understanding code, Matt's way of teaching students is easy to keep up with and will leave you with solid HTML, CSS as well as javascript knowledge and the healthy habit of wanting to learn more and more. Also thank you to slack's help on some exercises, they were really helpful and always patient 🙏 Next up is SheCodes React !💪

SheCodes is a very well done training:insightful, practical, entertaining and flexible to meet your needs: either to just get a first flavour of coding/programming or switch career completely. I enjoyed every bit of the program (lessons , exercises, homework...) and had loads of fun completing it. I must admit that I was, at the beginning, very sceptical to the e-learning format , but the way the course is structured : simple and yet very engaging (insightful videos, fun exercises, support given ...) made the whole experience greatly enjoyable. SheCodes is extremely easy to use. The challenges after each lesson are great practice and provide excellent support when you go to complete your homework. The homework projects provide great references for the final project and Java Script is so much fun to learn!

In a very short time, I learned how to set up a nice-looking webpage including some user interaction. Furthermore, I learned a lot about writing good code which is easily readable for others (and also myself) plus some methods for troubleshooting!

Without a doubt, I have learned so much about coding from just this one workshop. The React workshop does a phenomenal job of applying what you already learned from the Plus course and adds what platforms are already using. 5 out of 5 would recommend!

Man... what a wonderful journey! Learning with Matt and his team was the best choice and investment of my time and efforts in 2020. I am very grateful for all that I have learned and truly recommend SheCodes to any woman in search of a change, new skills or an entrance in the world of web development. I started with the 3 weeks SheCodes workshop as a complete beginner in any area related to IT and tech. Matt's explanations and the lesson structure are very valuable and easy to understand and most importantly, guided step by step. There is also a wonderful group of people on the Slack platform where students are always welcome to share their challenges and get swift help form the team. After the 3 weeks workshop I decided to invest in the next step and take on the front end development course. I learned a lot. I had challenges, late nights and lots of satisfaction. The SheCodes Workshop is a great introductory course to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Access to the channels in the Slack App for additional help with the challenges was extremely beneficial. I finally found a course that explains JavaScript in a way that I understand! I like that you integrate it at the beginning with HTML and CSS, it doesn't feel quite as intimidating compared to learning it after mastering HTML and CSS.

I really enjoyed the course! I have learned so much in just three weeks and I will definitely be able to benefit from this in my job, as I work in digital marketing. The workload is not a lot, it is perfectly manageable with a full-time job. The course is very interesting, sometimes I could not stop coding and learning even though I had other things to do. In three weeks you cannot learn to be a developer, of course, but it is a great opportunity for building a new skill that can benefit both your logical reasoning and future developments in a job 😉
